The power and glory of first-fruits, first-lings and tithes.

Abraham relationship with God was full of revelation and of understanding the voice of ADONAI, his all sufficient God. From the beginning to the end of his life, nothing is too big or little for Abraham to give to God as long as it is to worship and to offer unto the possessor of heaven and earth. Our relationship with God and Christ should never be short of revelation and obedient if we are to walk in the steps of Abraham’s faith.

If Abraham, the father of faith received the revelation to release the tithes from the spoils of the battle to Melchizedek, the priest of the most-high God, further blessed by the priest, we should do ourselves some good and start walking by faith with our ALL SUFFICIENT GOD, WHICH IS ABLE TO SUPPLY FOR ALL OUR NEED ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS.

The true riches and blessings are not in the totality of what I possessed, but On God’s blessings on what is left over after releasing my tithes to him which gives strength and power to his people to live, and move and have victory; for his blessings makes man rich, without sorrows. (Sorrow of stealing from God, the curse it resulted into and restlessness from the devourer) Genesis 14; 14-29. Malachi 3; 11.

After the stealing of the blessings of the first born, Jacob ran away from the fear and threat of death from his brother – Esau. The first night of his day on exiled, he got revelations and promises from God at Bethel where God connects and relates with him in relationship – I will give thee and thy seed the land you are lying; your seed shall be countless; I am with you to protect you in all the places you shall go; I will bring you back to this very land which you are sleeping tonight; I will see to it that all I have spoken to you come to pass…Genesis 28; 10-15.

All that we got as written information of conversation between God and Jacob in his dream are the promises of blessings, enlargements, protections and assurance of divine presence.

The condition to this lasting blessings and promises was only voiced out from Jacob himself, when he awake, being carried along by the awesomeness of the divine presence, fellowship, utterances, revelations and promises given – He said, if you will do all that you’ve promised, you will forever be my God; I will build you a church for worship; and I will do (VOW) what you asked from me as well to recognize you as my all SUFFICIENT GOD BY GIVING YOU MY TITHES – And of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. Genesis 28; 22.

Where was that utterance of words, I WILL GIVE YOU ALL MY TITHES coming from the mouth of Jacob, if God has not put them in his head, mind and mouth from his dream encountered and conversations with Him?

Revelations distinguishand differentiate between a carnal Christian from a spiritual, spirit-filled believer and worshiper.

Just look into the story of Cain and Abel as the bible says in verse 3 of Genesis chapter 4, that in process of time – when they became responsible for acting in personal faith – before that time all was well and peaceful between the brothers, but when personal spiritual knowledge and revelation from God begin to takes its place and manifestation in the life of Abel as he offered the firstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof; bitterness, jealousy, hatred and murdered got into Cain. Genesis 4; 1-5.

First thing first – What is first-fruits and first-lings.

The first-fruit is the first harvest from your plantation (IF YOU ARE A FARMER) set apart to honor and acknowledging God as the sovereign possessor of heaven and earth. Deuteronomy 15; 19. The first -ling is the first born of your cattle, goat, beast or livestock (IF YOU ARE A CATTLE REARER) set apart to honor and acknowledging God as the sovereign possessor of heaven and earth. Deuteronomy 26; 1-10.

This is what the prophet calls the tithes in Malachi chapter 3; 8 -12.

THE TITHE IS SIMPLY THE ONE OVER THE TEN OR ONE OF THE TEN OF WHAT IS PROVIDED FOR YOU TO GIVE UNTO THE LORD IN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BEFORE HIM AS THE SOVEREIGN POSSESSOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH WHICH SHOULD BE FIRST SEPARATED FROM THE WHOLE SUM UNTO GOD.

The Pharisees in Jesus time paid their tithes, and if our righteousness does not exceed the righteousness of the scribes and of the Pharisee, how do we intend to enter into the kingdom of God? Matthew 5; 20. Luke 18; 12. Luke 11; 37- 41.

There are lots of demonic inspired arguments today from the wicked hearts of unbelief and from men who are sabotaging the fiancial resources of the kingdom of God arguing and disouting if a believer should pay tithes or not. Asked yourself if you’re living in a country and you deliberately evade tax, what shall be done if you are caught? Some country cut the tax directly from your monthly salary, why some demands you to declare your incomes and pay taxes accordingly- all is the same to the end that your tax should be paid.

If you try to run away from paying your taxes and you’re caught, that is punishable under the law and you are likely to end up paying double of what you are running away from; and If you don’t pay tax, how do the government develops and moves the country forward?

When you don’t give your tithes faithfully to your local church or where you are receiving daily and weekly spiritual nourishment and covering, it means you are sabotaging financial operation of that church and ministry; you are therefore a cursed-thief. Malachi 3; 9-10.

POWER OVER FINANCIAL OPPRESSORS AND SWALLOWERS.

Therefore thus says the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies; my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. Cry yet, saying, thus says the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion and Jerusalem.

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, what be these? And he answered me, these are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem (Return unto me…Malachi 3;7).

And the Lord shewed me four carpenters, then said I, what come these to do? And he spake, saying these are the horns which scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head; but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it. Zachariah 1; 17-21.

Horn is the symbol of power. It can be a good or evil power, but the horns in our above text are evil horns which were drawing and scattering the people of God away from their possessions, blessings, inheritance and places of devotion.

Let me show you another horn with different power in Deuteronomy chapter 33 verses 13-17. The words in the whole chapter are the pro- departed prophetic blessings of Moses, the great prophet and man of God to the whole tribes of Israel. He spoke of what they shall do, become, and what shall befall them in the latter days.

Look at the revelation of the blessings of Joseph and the secret attached to it in verse 17 of Deuteronomy chapter 33 which read thus; HIS GLORY IS LIKE THE FIRSTLING OF HIS BULLOCK, AND HIS HORNS ARE LIKE THE HORNS OF UNICORN; WITH THEM HE SHALL PUSH THE PEOPLE TOGETHER TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH; AND THEY ARE THE TEN THOUSANDS OF EPHRAIM, AND THEY ARE THE THOUSANDS OF MANASSEH. HIS GLORY IS IN THE FIRSTLING, because it is like the first ling of his bullock!

What made the difference in the acceptance of Abel’s offering to Cain?

AND ABEL, HE ALSO BROUGHT OF THE FIRSTLINGS OF HIS FLOCK AND OF THE FAT THERE OF. AND THE LORD HAD RESPECT UNTO ABEL AND TO HIS OFFERING; Genesis 4; 4.

If you will start to walk in the revelation of tithing according to God’s word, the God of your glory and the lifter up of your head shall deliver you from all the power of financial oppressor and swallower which has been pressing you down, so that you cannot lift up your head. Psalm 3; 4 – In thy favor, our horn shall be exalted. Psalms 89; 17. But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn,; I shall be anointed with fresh oil……. Psalms 92; 10-15 . He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor,, his righteousness endureth forever; his horn shall be exalted with honor. Psalms 112; 9.

The horn here symbolizes financial power, blessings, glory and indestructible testimonies. When the Lord will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, nations shall call you blessed and you becoming a delightsome land. Malachi 3; 11-12.

In Zachariah chapter 5; verses 1-9, we have some interesting revelations the Lord is giving us now to escape the spirit of monetary idolatry and our inefficiency of Christ.

Verses 3-4, shows us the believers which are operating under the curse of devourers, stealing from God by not paying their tithes or stealing and cheating people around in one way or the other or an accomplice with a thief. Proverbs 29;24.Jeremiah 17;11. Malachi 3; 9.

Verse 6 speaks of an ephah which is a basket or measuring container and you can imagine Jesus standing and looking at the offering basket in the temple, comparing what every man and woman are putting in the basket of God and in the end commended the widow’s mite – which was the smallest to the natural eyes but the best in divine sight; Take this to heart, no matter how insignificant your tithe is, if it is the one over ten, it is the best before the all- seeing eyes of God and it should first be given. No matter how great your contribution looks like before the clergy, if it is not the tithes, it is deceit and wickedness in the sight of God. Isaiah 57; 12. Luke 21; 1-4.

Verse 7-8 speaks of the talent of lead – lead is the symbol of insignificant giving comparable to God’s standard of giving, according to the measure of your blessings; for we can’t give the same way, because we are not blessed the same measure or manner. Lead represents deceit and wickedness, when you bring that which is torn, lame and sick as an offering before the Lord- these are corruptible offering (Cain’s type) which shall not be acceptable unto the great King. Malachi 1; 13-14.

You must prove God’s faithfulness to his word with your tithes consistently at least for a year (under normal circumstances, any good seed which abides on good soil for a whole year must bring forth fruit) by not allowing financial burdens, problems and cares to weigh you down and turns you to an unbeliever, a thief and a cursed because of non- tithing. Malachi 3;10.

Verse 9 speaks of two women with wind in their wings, like wings of a stork; and they lifted up the ephah (the basket or measuring container) between the earth and heaven.

The stork is an unclean bird – which means this women are evil spirit or entity, which represented Satan in churches, to reports the activities of deceivers who are not paying their tithes to the second heaven, so as to program devourers behind them. Leviticus 11; verses 13, 19.

The wisdom of wise banking – every banking system or organization have different percentages in loan and fix or saving interest – God or Satan economic system is no difference.

In Genesis 47; 23-24, the scriptures reads; And Joseph said unto the people, Behold I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh; lo, here is seed for you, and you shall sow in the land.

And it shall come to pass in the increase that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.

You should know that Egypt and Pharaoh in the realm of the spirit represents the world and Satan.

Under the system of satanic banking, anyone who does not pay his/her tithes loses the fifth part of his possessions to the enemy through his various agent of devourer. This is the heavy yoke and burden of Satan in contrast to the King of Kings and his kingdom, whose yoke is easy and His burden light.

God requires one part from us and the remaining ninth part for our food and for them of our households, and for food for our little ones, bills, etc.

If it too much to bring the substance of our first-fruit and first-ling to the church, we can sell them and converts them to cash and take the whole money into the place of worship as our tithes.

Whenever we fail to give our tithes, it is expected of us to restored it back with fifth part – if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof. Leviticus 27; 30-31.

Notice, Satan takes fifth part as right over his own, but God employs fifth part as interest to be paid back for using his tithes.

All tithes are expected of all which comes into our hands and accounts. This is the only way that God’s house shall be spread through prosperity. We can’t fail in life and in eternity if we imbibed this divine system of banking.

We should at least wait for a year to see God re-strccturing, acting and putting things right in our lives one after the other, if we have chosen to come back unto him through his ordinances of tithing. Malachi 3; 7.

In every deal with God, big or small, faithfulness should be our watchdog, for he that is faithful in little things, shall be promoted over big things.

Will you NOW come back to God for a better financial deal! Malachi 3; 7.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38. Giving is part of your spiritual worship. It a sacrifice of sweet odour, well acceptable to God – to do good and to communicate that is, (to give or share) forget not, for with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. Philippians 4;18. Hebrews 13;16.

God has shown us the way to give as he willingly and unconditionaly gave us his only begotten Son and offered him for our salvation – while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. The first thing to give is your heart and entire life devoted to God in worship and lifestyle. This is the only to give acceptably in a clean vessel, and then shall your giving be as unto the Lord, with cheerfulness and simplicity, that whatsoever you do, it will be heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Romans 12; 8. Colossi ans 3; 23-24.

The Devil, just like Pharaoh did sought and negotiated with the children of Israel in Egypt to persuade them not to serve the Lord with their substance, neither to use their possessions for the promotion of the Kingdom interest, but divert it for self and worldly pleasures and amusements is he doing the same today as you see many christians in sensual and carnal amusement and beach vacations and other worldly attractions! What a pity? Woe unto them that are at ease in Zion; for he that liveth in pleasure is dead, while liveth. 1 Corinthians 7;31. Amos 6;1. 1 Timothy 5;6.

The mercies and goodness of God obtained in salvation and in daily provisions should be rendered back to the people around us as we have the opportunity – for to him that knows how to do good and does not do it, is sin. It is impossible to serve God without giving, if we have – no man should appears before him empty handed, neither should we love in word, but in deed. The bible declares that he feed the birds of the field and he shall much more feed you – for he give bread to the eater and seed to the sower. I have been young, and now I am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread-the young lions lack and suffers hunger, but they that seek the Lord, shall never lack any good thing- for the upright shall always have good things in possession. Psalms 34; 10. Psalms 37; 25-26. Proverbs; 28;10.

God never intends that we lack or beg – for you shall lend to many nations; but thou shall not borrow; nevertheless if we do not follow the pattern of the Scriptures carefully, we may not make our way prosperous-for we know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty may be rich. 2 Corinthians 8; 9. Deuteronomy 15;6.

Giving, fasting and prayer are spiritual obligations, necessities and exercises we must give ourselves to work out vigorously in our faith walk and relationship with God.

Giving is divided into many parts. Giving to the beggars, which the bible calls alms giving- this has great influence and blessings on your spiritual and moral life-it has great impacts and effects on your prayer life as well. You must be eager and earnest to do this all the time you are privileged to help the poor in the street – he that shut his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself (pray) and shall not be heard. Proverbs 21;13. Acts 10; 1-4.

It is consider as giving honor and loaning unto God – that which you have given him, God shall in manifold ways re-pays you.

Few people take advantage of this. The opportunity is every where and at all times – for the poor we have always with us, says the Lord. He shall make your bed in sickness (be your doctor) and shall not deliver you unto the will of your enemies; he shall deliver you in the time of trouble; and blessed you upon the earth. Proverbs 19; 17. Psalms 41; 1-3.

Some insult and abuse the beggars and the less fortunate ones as lazy and exploiting etc. If you don’t have or don’t want to give them, it is enough that you leave them so; for in insulting them; you are reproaching God who has made the poor…proverbs 14;31.

The giving or sharing financial and material gift to help men who are genuinely called by God. Be prayerfuly led by the Spirit of God to help them to advance the ministerial work forward for great treasure and blessings awaits you in heaven as your celestial account is increasing by your giving – for I desired not a gift, but desire fruit that may abound to your account (Philippians 4;10-17); and on earth, as you tapped into the anointing, blessing and divine covenant of that ministry or servant-for he that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive the reward of the prophet (Matthew 10;40-42)

If they have sown spiritual seed of life in your life, it is of no great deal if you sow material and finacial blessings into their lives to encourage and promote their ministry. It is our responsibilities to give or help them with those things which can be helpful and needful for body – buying clothes, shoes, car, land, house or whatsoever it is (Romans 15;27) in our means it for the Lord’s sake – for so has the Lord ordained that those who preach the gospel should live by the gospel (1Corinthians 9; 1-14).

By the way, our Lord was supported by certain women which has been healed of evil spirits, and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, Joseph of Arimathae-a and many others which (ministered helped or supported) him of their substance. Luke 8; 1-3. Luke 23; 50-53.

God would entrust men and women with great finacial blessings and material prosperity with increase to support true global ministers like the great woman of Shunamite was prepared by God for financial and ministerial support of prophet Elisha. They shall be touched and moved in their giving ministry to help the ministers in their ministries in simplicity and godly sincerity. 2 kings 4;8.

Many good men of God and church workers are running into business and other secular jobs to get themselves and ministry supported to stay in the ministry because the devil is hardening the hearts of people they are ministering to (Nehemiah 13;10. Acts 20;33-35.) from giving. Perhaps, because of the former dissapointment and misconception of others against the men and offerings of God in their former experiences with dupers and liars presenting and parading themselves as men and women of God to enrich themselves. They’ve ruined lives, homes and finances of people who trusted them. They are cursed men who are of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God unto lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God and our Jesus Christ- men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain (of financial and material possession for self enrichmment) is godliness; from such withdraw yourself. Jude; 4. 1 Timothy 6; 3-6. 2 Peter 2;14-19.

God has pleasure in the prosperity of all his children and servants, but it should not be an unrighteous gain. The blessing of Giod makes rich without sorrow. But financial manipulation, deceitful acts in the name of religion are vanity and hell fortaking the name of God in vain -he is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand; he loveth to oppress. And Ephraim said, yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance; in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin. 3 John 2. Hosea 12: 7-8. Proverbs 10: 22.

-Sow your seed of faith in any given situations and circumstances as you are led. Ecclesiastes 11; 1-6. 2 Corinthians 9;10-11.

-Pay your tithes faithfully as you are led by God into any church or your local church to prove the Lord with it. Do not sabottage the economy and finance of God’s house. It is a crime. Malachi 3;10-12.

-Give what you have as an offerings. What you determined in your heart according to God’s blessings: not of grudge, neither of necessity, for the Lord loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 8;12. 2 Corinthians 9; 6-11.

-Give your alms to the poor -the beggars, homeless, orphans and widows. Galatians 2;10.

-As you have therefore oppotunity, do good to all men, especially the brothers and sisters in the faith (not limited only to your church members). Galatians 6: 9-10.

-Support good men of God around you with your material and financial goods, especially those from whom you are receiving spiritual nourishments from their ministries as the Lord speak to your heart -whosoever give to the prophet shall receive thereward of the prophet -sow to yourself in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, till he comes and rain righteousness upon you. Hosea 12: 7-8. Matthew 7:6

There are many agents and mouth pieces of Satan today which speaks against giving and offerings of God in the churches and in the world. All that they see is the money but not the works of God that must be met with financial obligations. Such people have no pleasure in the prosperity of God’s house and of his people.

Out of their ignorance, wickedness and bitter heart, they envy and speak evil of the men of God through demonic influence -And Satan answered the Lord, and said, doth Job fear God for nothing? Hast thou not make edge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. Job 1;9-10.

Avoid such people and do not keep company with the enemies of the good of the house of God and of the cross of Christ. You should know that if any servant or man of God misuse or mishandle the funds God’s work and kingdom inappropriately, he shall be judged for his unfaithfulness and breach of trust. His judgment and retribution is sure for his love of money, stealing church’s funds and abused of trust which can cost him to lose his soul just like Judas Iscariot. I will leave you with this prayer of sweet psalmist of Israel which say: The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifices; grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel. Psalms 20; 1-4.
