Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14.

Eternal life, like any other promises among the lists of the exceeding great and precious promises of God stands out among them all (for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 6:36-37); nonetheless, it is more of the same criteria like the rest of the promises of God we are called to pursue and obtain.

The concept of eternal life originates from the God immortal, invisible and the everlasting Father, having no beginning of days, neither the end of life. 1Timothy1:17. Hebrews 7:3.

God is from everlasting, and everything about him is unending – perpetuity, – His throne is established long ago and it is forever and ever.

He is from eternity (Psalms 93:2): even from everlasting to everlasting, Jehovah is God. Psalms 90:2.

His word is eternal – it endures forever. 1 Peter 2:25.

His Holy Spirit is eternal. Hebrews 9:14.

His covenant, and the blood which establishes it is everlasting. Genesis 26:5. Hebrews 13:20.

God himself dwells or lives in eternity, being the eternal God. Isaiah 57:15.

There is more than meet the eye in the promises of God. I say it again, as I will always say, there is no free promise (s) from God, though all his promises are yes, and in him is Amen in Christ Jesus, none is without condition.  

God is faithful who has promised, if we fulfill the condition to any of his promises, aligning ourselves to walk according to the principles that justify us to obtain and possess any of them:  his word and promises will do good to him who walks uprightly. Micah 2:7.

Eternal life is an eternal plan of God’s determinant counsel and pleasure to dwell together with man he has created in his own image after his likeness throughout all eternity, but the first man missed the opportunity to inhabit eternity with God, having failed in his probational period in the Garden of Eden, he was chased out of it to prevent him from eating the fruit of life, lest he become as the Eternal God in the state of sinfulness and darkness alongside God in whom there is no darkness.

Adam did not lose eternal life at his fall, because he has never for once gotten it by the way. What he lost was the divine nature, after which God chased him out of the Garden and appointed an angel to keep the tree of life to prevent any access to the fruit of the tree of life, lest he should eat of the fruit to gain immortality in his corruption or corruptible nature.

Had Adam gotten immortality before his fall, God will not had warned him of death if he peradventure eat from the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

Altogether, his disobedient resulted in spiritual death which was the immidiate consequence and punishment of his sin, – it is a spiritual separation from God, – the loss of fellowhip: (b) God added physical death as punishment, reminding man of the origin of his creation – sand or dust: (c) the second or eternal death is for anyone who will not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Note: though for now, we have the life of God which is the divinie nature because we are now born again, let us establish our ways before him in the light of his word, as the Lord leads us in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake, let us also guide our paths in the way of righteousness for the sake of our souls: for in the pathway of righteousness, there is life (eternal life), and in its paths, there is no death (spiritual or eternal death). Proverbs 12:28.

Fruit from the same tree of life shall be given to those who finally make it to heaven as a reward or prize, that they might eat and live with God forever and ever as the reward of their faithfulness and devotedness in their alliance to the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world for their sins: he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; to him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7.

Therefore, let us fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12.

The Lord says, I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John10:10 b.

The abundant life restored by Christ was the divine nature stolen from the first Adam in the Garden to bring us back to God, so that through Christ fulness, we might receives grace from grace, and be transformed from glory to glory until he – Christ shall finally be glorified with his saints.

Don’t be fooled, the abundance life in Christ Jesus has nothing to do with material wealths and possessions which God has chosen to give as the portions for those who are in the world because their portion is only in this life, afterwards they go to hell – Arise, O Lord, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword: from men which are thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Psalms 17:13-15.

The priority should be the prosperity of your soul as you prioritize the kingdom, purposes and will of God in your life above all things.

If Abundant life has to do with the material possessions and finacial gains, there will be no need for the warnings not to labour to be rich, and to cease from your own wisdom, – warnings against coveteousness which is idolatory, and be content with such things as you have; for godliness with contentment is a great gain. 

Because the abundant of life in Christ Jesus is not found in material things and financial gains, he warns you against coveteousness, that your life’s worth and value in him does not consists in the abundance of the things you posessses in the kingdom.

How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! Riches are a great hindrance to many poor and weak souls in the way to heaven.

Consider the seed that fell among the thorns which clearly speaks of the deceitfulness of riches, the cares of this world and the lusts of other things that choked eternal life to death in the lives of many followers of Christ.

Also, consider the young man unto whom the Lord asked to sell all that he has? and to follow after him in exchange for eternal life, but he went back from following the Lord sorrowfully! Note: whatsoever (your right hand or right eye) or whosoever ( if you love father, mother, sister, son, brother, uncle, aunt, yourself more than him, you are not worhty of him – eternal life) is required from you to separate or to remove from your life, but not willing to give it up to fulfill the will of God, will prevents you from inheriting eternal life. Luke 18:18-24.

You must overcome the false conception of a succesful or victoriuos spiritual man’s life in the church today measured through the carnal and blinded eyes of increasing material and financial gains and possessions – godliness is not gain. 1 Timothy 6:5-7.

God made the poor and the rich. If you have food and cloth to wear, be thankful and content before God in your daily work before him. Your spirituality, acceptance and worthiness in God’s sight is not judged and based on any outward possessions of properties and funds you have, for he richly gives us all things to enjoy.

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness – this is the abundant life, the increasing transformation and changes we experience daily while in the presence of God translated or imported to our daily life to be manifested before others, shinjing as light in the world – this was the life in the spirit Adam once lived before his transgression.

The abundant life is the well of salvation from which you draw water of life daily, refreshing your soul, springing up in you unto eternal life. It is that well becoming the rivers flowing unto eternal life. It is the life of a constant fellowship and spiritual security, assurance, quietness and peace with God which was stolen away from the first man in the Garden of Eden as it is written that the thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  John 10:10.

Eternal life is not now, but in the future. For we saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:24-25.

Titus put it this way, that it is in the hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; but hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Savior. Titus1:2-3.

The bible calls it a lively hope through the ressurrection of Christ Jesus from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3.

Salvation in Christ Jesus gives us the promise and hope of eternal life (for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9), but you must prove to God that you value and appreciate his gift of salvation unto eternal life in Christ Jesus against the condemnation of eternal death which is the wages of sin (for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23) that you actually deserves as the result of the sin of Adam.

In salvation or regeneration, God gives us the spirit of his Son as a deposit to guarantee us that he will also fulfill the promise of eternal life afterwards. Ephesians 1:13-14.

Christ present habitation in us through the spirit of God is to prepare and embolden us for the hope of the future eternal glory, the promised eternal life, if we will keep doing the things that accompany our salvation. Hebrews 6:9: (b) if you will keep winning souls into the kingdom of God, lest you should be cut off from the vine as a fruitless branch to lose the promise of eternal life: (c) if you will keep walking in the highway of holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (d) if you will keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling in an unconditional obedience to the voice of his spirit, doing his will, and to obeying the voice of his word (my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:27-28.) and the voice or be led by his spirit, so that he might confirm you to the end, for nothing is assured until you are confirm at the end – but God is faithful, by whom you are called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:8-9.

How shall anyone escaped the wrathful, fearful judgment and condemnation of God, though they are presently saved, but an entrance is denied unto them into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ because they are lack things which are necessary to make their calling and election sure?

On what ground shall their excuses be, if they should missed the first resurrection of the just or missed the rapture, and could not be partaker thereof because they have not been sowing to the spirit while they are living in the spirit by walking in the flesh, but instead sowing to the flesh to reap corruption; that is, failed at last to possess eternal life: be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:7-8. Hebrews 2: 1-3.

Eternal life is a promise gift of God, but you must fight a good fight of faith to pay the price to get the prize: therefore, you should press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus; for God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation (eternal life) through our Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:14. 1 Thessalonians 5:9. Note: we live daily by the promises of God, even as we live daily for the promises of God. Are we not the children of promise as Isaac was to Abraham? Those who are not pursuing after, neither are they living presently for the actualizations of the promises of God are delusional – dead faith believers who will not show their faith by their works and wil not do the things that accompany salvation to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing. Galatians 4:28. James 2:26.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son….but how precious is Jesus as a gift to you, and how precious is Christ in your life?

How precious was that pearl of a great price spoken by the Lord that the merchant man was moved to sell all that he has to buy the precious pearl of a great worth or value to him! Matthew 13:44.

Skin for skin, yea, all that a man has will he give for his life: what are you willing to give or not to give up for eternal life? He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor. John 12:25-26.

While we are in the body, we are absent from the Lord.

Eternal life is inaccessible until you put off this body of sin and death (earthly tabernacle) at physical death, then shall a new spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:44) fitted and specially made for eternal dwelling or habitation with God be given unto you, – it is a building made of God himself, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1.

The fulfillment of your expectation to inherit eternal life lies in your present steadfastness in the Lord, if your name could still be found written in the book of life as it were when you first believed in Christ Jesus, and has not been wiped out or removed out of it.

Only those who have their names kept or maintained written in the book of life until the end shall be counted worthy to inherit eternal life: thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:4-5.

Adam lost the holiness of God – the divine nature, and was corrupted by the serpent through disobedient. As obedient children, we are warned not to keep living according to the former lusts in our igonrance, but as God who has called us is holy, we should be holy in all manner of conversation. Be holy, do not play with grace, but be strong in it to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

In regeneration, being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptibel seed, Christ has given us the power – divine power to become children of God, that by these, you might be partakers of divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lusts. Note: those who are in Christ Jesus, presently partakers of divine nature through his divine power, but has not escaped or overcome the corruption that is in the world through lusts, has failed of the grace of God and received it in vain, fallen from the grace, and has done despite unto the spirit of grace, shall not escape the eternal wrath which shall devour his adversaries.

Christ is the giver of eternal life, having purchased and obtained eternal redemption for us – as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:2-3.

But the Lord says, if you love your father, mother, sister, brother, husband, wife, children, aunt, uncle, the world and the lusts thereof more than him; you are not worthy of him: on the other hand, you are not worthy of eternal life. Do not allows anyone or anything in your life to stand in your way of following the Lamb wherever he led you and to obey him: otherwise, you will have your name missing out from the book of life, written among the dead: let your mind and action be where your treasure is, otherwise, your faith of heaven is dead being alone. Note: the preciousness of the eternal kingdom and the danger of losing the gift of eternal life should awaken our senses of duty, responsibility and preparedness to sacrifice any present pleasure of sin, world and flesh in order to inherit eternal life: wherefore if your hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if your eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Matthew 18:8-9.

Are you ordained unto eternal life? Acts13:48.

You must therefore strive to enter in through the straight gate. The Eternal life is a fruit to eat, a crown to wear, and a reward or prize to obtain from the Lord to gain immortality.

 Do you love the truth, the entire truth of God’s word?

Eternal life is only accessible by the truth: but if you have received another gospel, another spirit, and another Christ, I am afraid and in doubt of your eternal destiny.

Those who have fallen into the error of the wicked are surely walking contrary to the truth of the gospel, for they are holding the truth in unrighteousness, and by them shall the way of truth be evil spoken of until the righteous indignation of divine vengeance of God’s judgment shall fall upon them for the just recompense of reward for their religious hypocrisy and wickedness in the kingdom of truth.

The gift of eternal life is inseparable from the choice of your lifestyle in the kingdom; this comes down to the way you have personally chosen to either get to heaven if you are living according to the gospel of self -mortification or crucified lifestyle to the world –  or, if you are living in a sinful, false or fallasy error grace of lifestyle of worldly self gratifying pleasure and self- indulgence ungodly – worldy lifestyle as a Christian: enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction (hell fire), and many there be which go in there at:because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life (eternal life), and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14.

Those who will get to heaven knows that they will get to heaven by their personal choice of the narrow way and straight gate they are travelling up to Zion, the city of God. They have chosen to ply through the highway of holiness,bringing their body subjection, lest after preaching to others, – after serving the Lord, and doing many great and good things in his name, they should not be a cast away at the end. 1 Corinthians 9:27.

Lastly, your choice and taste for spiritual meat and food will determines your heaven or hell destination as a believer after death.

Are you a deceived and deceitful itching ear believer who loves the flattering and sweet speeches of the false apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers as an excuse to walk and live as it pleases you in the Lord, walking unworthy of Christ?

Are you a believer in Christ Jesus without increasing transformation and changes in your daily life comformable unto his image?

Do you think that having a form of godliness but denying its power thereof will help after death to receive the gift of eternal life for being hearer of the word and not doers thereof, de ceiving yourself?

Worldly churches and the false teachers are the gateways to hell.

They are the clouds without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. Jude 1:12-13.

You can’t have your cake and eat it in the Lord!

You will not make heaven or receive the gift or reward of eternal life as long as you are not coming out to separate from the worldly fanfare churches unto a faithful church where strong meat and undiluted word is preached and practiced as it is written that the man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead. Proverbs 21:16.
