The present danger of the unpredictable duration and unforseen longsuffering of bridegroom for his bride against eternal life.

And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Revelation 2:21.

The text before us this morning will disprove certain few doctrines in the church, the errorneous misconception of Christ love for his church.

First, I will humbly submit before us that according to this scripture, there is nothing like unconditional love of the bridergoom (Christ) for his bride (the church) unto whom he gave himself for her (a) to be presented unto him as a chaste virgin – for I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:2-3: (b) that now, in the lively hope of seeing the bridegroom as he is and to be like him, the bride should cleanse herself from all the filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1) in preparation for the coming marriage ceremony, feast and celebration with the bridegroom who is pure and without blemished (1 John 3:1-3): by serving God and the Lamb in righteousness and in true holiness (Ephesians 4:20-24), not in the false and illusional holiness of this generation who is pure in their own eyes, yet are not cleansed, freed from their sins and filths (Proverbs 30:12), but to live in practical sanctification unto him who God has made to be their sanctification, even Christ who has loved her, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:25-27.

Note: if you allow any of his word to fall to the ground in your life, know that you’ve fallen down before God by the same word – Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and let none of his words fall to the ground. 1 Samuel 3:19.

The Lord is not a flatterer lover and Saviour. There is no vain or fancy talks with the Lord of glory, he tells you what will happens to you, if you don’t live and do exactly as he expects from you. One would wonder to ask question as to the seriousness and extent of the threats and warnings of Christ to the seven churches of Asia if there is such things as the unconditiona love of Christ for the church: (a) remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent: Revelation 2:4-5: (b) he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11: (c) repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Revelation 2:16: (d) notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. Revelation 2:20-23: (e) be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Revelation 3:2-3: (f) behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Revelation 3:11: (g) because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:19-17.

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3.

Eternal love illustrate the nature of God who is love from everlasting, just as he who has called us is eternally holy in nature. Revelation 4:8. I have loved you with everlasting love does not mean God’s love for you is without condition though you chose to love the world and its lusts – chose to walk and live in the flesh, though you are saved to walk and live in the spirit, not gratifying the lusts and works of the flesh – chose to walk in the imaginations of your deceitful and wicked heart – chose to walk in your ways against God’s ways – chosen not to abide and continue in his sanctifying and fervent love. John 15:9. The Lord says, if you love me, keep my word. If anyman loves me not, the same will not keep my word. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. God loves does not fail if only you will continue to serve him acceptably with reverence and godly fear; to abide in his love by way of obedience, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:21.

Even the first parents were given condition to live or die in the Garden of Eden despite the riches, glory, honour and power and dominion God bestowed upon them before the fall.

We are better in Christ Jesus than Adam and Eve though we are their seeds in the flesh and not of the spirit, because they instantly died spiritually the moment they eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. But in Christ Jesus, any act of disobedient is a  seed of death, if we keep to sow to the flesh, we shall die – For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  Galatians 6:7-9.

But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! Galatians 2:17. If therefore we caled on his name, we should likewise depart from iniquities, and be separated in holiness unto him who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 2 Timothy 2:19. Titus 2:11-14. If we sin, we have the provision available by grace to confess and to forsake (he that covereth his sins shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13), not to confess and to continue in the same circle of sinning and confessing – this is the laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works of which the scripture speaks against – Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works. Hebrews 6:1. This is the class of people God calls as the sinners of my people who shall die by his sword – all the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, the evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. Amos 9:10 (b) they are the hypocrites in Zion, and shall not dwell eternally with the devouring fire – sinful nation instead of holy nation – The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; he shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Isaiah 33:14-16: (c) these are the children God called as sinful people and nation instead holy people and nation –  hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. Oh sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Isaiah 1:2-4.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven. God will not understand why you don’t understand him because your heart is hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. If you are marching upward to Zion, the city of the great King, unto whom you are caled and have come, you will be cleansing yourself from all the filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God, fighting to pull down every strongholds, and bringing into captivity, every thoughts in you into the obedience of Christ; but those who are descending down to hell from the church will not strive to enter in through the narrow gate and the strait way, but will  continue in whatever sin that grace might falsely abound – having not escaped the corruption that is in the world through divers lust – will not avail themselves of the grace that can help them come over sins, and to put on Christ (Hebrews 4:16), but will depends on divine grace to allow them continue with the sin which easily beset them, which they are called upon to  lay aside – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1.

Judgement must start from the house of God. Every branch in the vine without fruit shall be cut off, not when they get to heaven, but before they ever get to heaven – here on earth. But for how long will they be tolerated to live as fruitless branch before being cut off- that depends on the Lord himself. The goodness of God leads everyone who is now in the church unto repentance, but his longsuffering (space of time) is not eternal unto anyone who is not striving to walk and live up to the Lord’s standards and expectations – thus saith the Lord, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all. Isaiah 65:8.

Today, if you hear his voice, do not hardens your heart, but to considers yourself being loved by the rebukes of God to repent and walk worthy of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus unto eternal life. God gives a long rope, but for how long? He is not tolerating your sin, but hide his face from you because of those sins while asking, when shall you wash your hands from sin; you sinner, – when will you purifed your heart, you doubled minded, – and when shall you fully surrender and allow him to sanctify your body, soul and spirit? when you start to keep the fire on the altar burning and you will not be cold or hot again lest he spew you out of his mouth? How long, except you  repent now and do the first works, live by his words and learnt from what make you fall to walk worthy of his calling, he can decide to remove your candle stick from his place right now or later.

It is not given you to live any how in the kingdom than to be portraying the image of Christ and growing daily unto his fulness, measure and stature: neither are you allowed to walk any way in the kingdom than your conversation to be in conformity as it becomes the gospel of Christ. Philippians 1:27. Do not let the same voice spoken against king Balthezar to reject and condemn him be spoken unto you, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN” and interprets them for the king: “MENE, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; TEKEL, you have been weighed … and found wanting;” and “UPHARSIN”, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians – repent now, and make use and stand now in the true grace of God while the divine long rope is still made availble for you.

Christ says he can cancel his fiancee relationship with you because he will not marry to any kind of believer just because you now confess him as your Lord and Saviour – he that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:11-14. So, in the church among the bride of Christ, there are some who are unjust, some are filthy, though claimed to be washed and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. Some are holy, and we know that they are like the Sardis church which have not defiled their garments; to whom the Lord promised, and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Revelation 3:4.
Sin is a reproach to anyone. What about the thieves, fornicators, adulterer, extortioner, idolaterers, homosexuals, lesbians, the unjust, liars, cowards, manipulators, deceivers, haughty, worldly, covenant breakers, rebels to diferent authorities established by God, drunkards etc among the bride of the Lord? The space of time given by the Lord to repent can expire by (a) uncosciuos and unannounced removal of your name from the book of life: (b) sudden death: (c) suden appearing of the bridegroom – but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 2 Peter 3:10-13.
