The damnable behaviours against the Spirit of God – resist, vex, lied to, rebelled against, despise and to blaspheme the Spirit of God.

They rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he (God) fought against them. Isaiah 63:10.

According to the scripture, we all know that the sin of blasphemy against the Spirit of God is unpardonable, not here on earth, nor in heaven, but to be ready to spend hell in eternity, if your mouth caused your soul to commit eternal sin, attributing the works of the Holy Spirit for evil spirit or Satan, but the text before us made no mention of blaspheming the Spirit of God in the wilderness, but that they provoked or vexed the Spirit of God, therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and God fought against them and destroy them in the wilderness. Mark 3:28-30.

The Spirit of God is the third person of the trinity, not a feeling or just a power to witness and win souls, or to perform miracles, or prophesying and speaking in tongues. Mark 16:16-18. Apart from the manifestations of the Spirit of God in you, which are of little significance in terms of qualification to get to heaven (Matthew 7:22-23), in order to be counted worthy of the calling of God (2 Thessalonians 1:11), the primary purpose of his dwelling to reproduce Jesus in you in word, deeds and in everything (Galatians 4:19) should be dilligently sought after by obeying the voice of the Spirit of God in you and applying the written word of God, doing all things without murmuring or disputing, that you may be blameless, the sons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Philippians 2:15.

If your conducts and expressions are in the opposite direction to the works and purposes of the spirit of God, such ways of life will diminish the power of the presence of God in his overall performances of your spiritual life: your walk and spiritual warfare, your effectiveness and transformation etc. It is not an overstatement that your strength, wisdom, power, knowledge, understanding, foresight, insight, victory etc are wrapped up in the Holy Spirit which should be consciously reverend and constantly acknowledge in all things; for all things are by his Spirit, says the Lord – for this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. Ephesians 3:14-16.

In Christ Jesus, renewed behaviors, sanctified ways of life and manners of speaking and doing other things in your daily conversations are of utmost importance to be put into consideration (only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. Philippians 1:27) been thoughtful and careful in these things, by considering the impacts and effects of an ungodly behaviors, ways of life, and unruly manners of speaking can have on the works, power and presence of the Holy Spirit in you as a child of God – for we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior. Titus 3:1-6.

It is practically impossible to ignore the reaction, perception or the judgment of the spirit of God in everything you do or say: being born again by the spirit of God (John 1:12-13. John 3:6), you are no more in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:9. This is the reason you must be led by the Spirit and the word of God in everything you do or say, how to say things and what to say: where to go, or not to go, and how to conduct yourself through the fruit of the spirit in whatever you do or say, or wherever you go. Romans 8:14.

Talk about the miracle of conviction of sin, repentance from sin, salvation unto eternal life, sanctification, preservation, protection, understanding of the scriptures, understanding of the will of God, help in your infirmities in prayer, hearing the voice of God, guided by God, receiving revelation from God, spiritual growth, spiritual sanity (for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:13), spiritual fruitfulness etc, the Holy Spirit is responsible for everything in your life until the final glorification with Christ, when your vile body shall be fashioned like unto Christ glorious body, according to the working (the Holy Spirit’s power) whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:20-21.

Do you think that the Spirit of God will not turn away from those he instructs you to turn away from because of their adamant and un-renewed mentality in Christ, unbecoming behaviors and ways of life, though they think they belongs to God? Yes he will! Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

It is good to have a form of godliness without denying the power thereof by walking daily in the newness of life; walking and living according as his divine power (the Holy Spirit) has given unto us all things that pertains to life and godliness, having escaped the corruption which is in the world through lusts (2 Peter 1:3-4):  genuine believers will find it difficult to put with you (your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaven the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.1 Corinthians 5:6-11), likewise shall the works of the Spirit of God gradually cease, leaving such person to a conscience sealed with hot iron, and unto a reprobate mind, for turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not (Jude 1:5): though, they were all baptized in the Holy Spirit, and all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ: yet, through unscriptural behaviors to retain Egyptians ungodly and worldly mentality, unrefined words, and other lusts; God was not well pleased with many of them: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 1 Corinthians 10:1-6.

Believer play host to the Spirit of God sent to guarantee the eternal life which God has promised to reward those who obediently love him and has overcome the flesh, the world, the sin, the false prophets to the end:  in whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14.

Though God has demonstrated to assure the believer to deliver on his promise on the actualization and inheritance of eternal life by the presence of his Spirit by which we are all baptized into one body (1 Corinthians 12:13); believer must walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing (Colossians 1:10): as obedient children, he should not fashion himself according to his former lust in his ignorance (1 Peter 1:14-16), personally labor on his salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12), and by doing the things which accompany his salvation as the earth which drinks in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God (Hebrews 6:7-9): and by his constant sowing to the spirit, that he might reap incorruption afterward (Galatians 6:7-8): obliged, educate and discipline himself to the necessity of cultivating, manifesting and reaping from the fruit of the spirit at all times, everywhere in every situation – if we live in the spirit, let us walk in the spirit. Galatians 5:22-25. Note: we despised God (and he will also count such as nothing. 1 Samuel 2:30) who has given us his Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4:8) if we live in sexual immorality, walk and live contrary to the  principles and nature of the new birth – if we refused to put on the new man and to put off the old man which is corrupt according to its deceitful lusts (Ephesians 4:22-24): such action (s) of a failed personal spiritual responsibility simply indicate that we desire to continue in sin so that grace should abound (Romans 6:1), instead of suffering and subduing the flesh to be freed from sin (1 Peter 4:1-6): for if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite (in neglect and contempt of) unto the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:26-29.

God sent the Holy Ghost to the church on earth, until he will be taken away, when his work to convince the world of sin, righteousness and of the judgment to come is over. God will judge the wicked as well as the righteous that will scarcely be saved. 1 Peter 4:16.

Believer’s judgment and final acceptance will come down to the manner he lived his spiritual life while he was in the flesh (1 Peter 4:1-6): to be judged or rewarded for his love in the things of the spirit of God (Colossians 1:18): to be judged or rewarded for his continual, fruitful, meaningful, purposeful and increasing fellowship with the spirit of God (2 Corinthians 13:14.

The kingdom of God is spiritual because you enter into it as soon as you are born of the spirit of God. It is therefore within you, meaning that your life is spiritual, not carnal: it is divine and not mundane: it is godly and not ungodly or immoral (Titus 2:11-12): wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17.

Believer’s liberty of speech and lifestyle are constraint in the limit of what is written and acceptable in the sight of God. He must speak according to the knowledge of what is written (the lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of foolish doeth not so. Proverbs 15:7)

for the words of his mouth to be acceptable before God. Psalms 19:14. The law of his God is in his heart, and his lips talks of judgment, his words are full of grace, and seasoned with salt. He has come to the spirit of just men made perfect (Hebrews 12:23),

You have not received the spirit which is of the world, that you might know the things which are freely given unto you by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12. The spirit of God is grieved and offended whenever we conform to the world, instead of crucifixion to the world. This is spiritual adultery and betrayal of our engagement to Christ: it is enmity against God. James 4:4. Shall anyone in Christ be in love with the world, and be justified before God? If any man loves the world, the love of God is not in him. When you make the spirit of God to be jealousy by worldly lifestyle, you are provoking him, but are you stronger than him? Who can stand before envy? Not even the spirit of God, for he is a jealous God and will avenge it. James 4:4-5. 1 John 2:15-17.

There are certain lifestyles which cannot be identified with the Holy Spirit, they are the dispositions that bring grief to the Spirit of God: such lifestyle as lying lips, uncontrolled and unjustified anger, talkativeness, stealing, corrupt, abusive and arrogant words, bitterness, noise making, malice and anything contrary to the fruit of the spirit will make him sorrowful: but to grieve the Spirit of God by which you are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4: 25-30) is to switch off his joy, peace and the works of righteousness he produces in you – upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city: because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens forever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; when it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place. Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass. Isaiah 32:13-20.

He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1. If you are stiff-necked, stubborn and self-willed to the ways, principles and instructions of the spirit of God, you’re certainly resisting the works and presence of the Holy Spirit in your life. Have you asked yourself, how long can such behaviors continues before God?

The voice of Satan should be refused, rebuffed and resisted, but not the voice and works of the spirit of God which should be indisputably and humbly obeyed. Resisting the voice and works of the spirit of God is fatal, regrettable and of negative eternal consequences, either in your life or to fulfill the will of God in the life of others. Acts 7:51.

Spiritual sensitivity and consciousness to yield and obey at once to the small still voice of the Spirit of God will keep you safe from all evil and dangers (I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shall go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Psalms 32:8-9), to make a great difference in your daily spiritual life, walk and destiny. Apostle’s Peter’s ministry and apostleship to the Gentiles should have been aborted and the honor thereof given to another if he has not instantly obeyed the voice of the spirit bidding to go, nothing doubting. Acts 11:12.

The text do not quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19) is that just as a fire can be quenched; the small still voice of the Holy Spirit can be silenced and his works stifled in the church.

As you read the word of God, the Spirit of God can be stirring a spiritual fire of conviction within you to apply certain scripture into a particular area of your life, though it be not preached or practiced in your local church. Will you respond to that heavenly influence, or will you suppress it? Have you not come to Mount Zion, the city of our God, and the spirit of just men made perfect? Which authority will you yield to? The authority of the anointing (Holy Spirit) that teaches you into all truth against them that seduces you, or of them that twists the scripture to keep you in bondage with flattering words? Acts 20:30. 1 John 2:26-27.

When the Lord is igniting a vision of service into your life, will you yield or will you ignore to extinguish it? When the Lord pours out the spirit of supplication and intercession, calling you to intercessory prayer, will you cry out to intercede or will you suppress the desire God is kindling? Will you allow the Spirit to blaze within your hearts, or will you quench the fire of the Spirit of God within you? Your positive or negative diligent or slothful response, action and reaction determine further and future usefulness and accountability and reward from the Lord. It is good, profitable and will be eternally fruitful when the small still voice of the Spirit of God speaks to you to pray, and you instantly obey to pray, whenever and wherever.

To get to heaven, you must walk dally in the Holy Spirit, to be led always by him. The children of Israel failed to enter into the promised land because they failed to obey the guidance of the Spirit of God leading them to possess the land, instead, they chose to walk by sight and not by faith, been intimidate by the sight of the enemy to despise the presence of God with them, so they despised the pleasant land, and God sworn in his wrath that they shall not enter into his rest. There is nothing comparable to being led by the Spirit of God in everything like Philip was led in the desert by the spirit of God to join himself uninvited to the chariot to help the Ethiopian eunuch understand the scripture about Christ, which ultimately led to his new birth and Philip was caught away by the Spirit of God, away from the Ethiopian eunuch into another city to reward his obedience for the continuation of his ministry. Acts 8:29-40.
