WISHING YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY SUNDAY IN JESUS NAME

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:20-21.

Good morning and happy Sunday to some of my brethren in the Lord who considers today’s celebration as a pagan’s festivity and will not celebrate it as unto the Lord. On the other hand, merry Christmas to all my brethren who sees this day as the day to celebrate the naissance of the King that came, saw and conquered – Jesus Christ – One man esteems one day above another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. Romans 14:5-6.

The scriptures cannot be broken. God’s promise (bad news to Satan) of future prophetic judgment of divine vengeance pronounced in the Garden of Eden against the serpent and his seed through the seed of the woman, which is Christ, was fulfilled through the conception of the Holy Ghost birthed by the virgin Mary (Luke 1:35) to introduce Christ on earth as prophesied by different prophets through the spirit of God concerning incarnation of Christ. Genesis 49:10. Deuteronomy 18:15. Numbers 24:17. Isaiah 7:14. Zachariah 9:9. Jeremiah 23:5. Micah 5:2. Hosea 11:1. Malachi 3:1.

First, I will humbly submit before us this Christmas morning that Christ was born, not only to save us from the condemnation of past sins, but his birth was to condemn the present sin in our flesh and to save us from them all – And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8:10.

Christ was born to give you a new life through the new birth, that as the child Jesus increases in wisdom and power of the spirit of God, you should likewise grow in the wisdom and power of the spirit of God in your new birth in him. Luke 2:40. This is the good tidings of great joy of the Savior born to the world (Luke 2:10): for what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:3-4. Note: those who have truly come to learn from Christ and have taken up his yoke and burden upon them, will grow to be likeminded in conformity to his death while they live, that as Christ has suffered in the flesh, they are of the same mind to suffer in the flesh; for those that has suffered in the flesh has ceased – freed from sin, that they should no longer live the rest of their life to the lusts of men, but for the will of God. This is the present salvation brought by Christ birth, his power, freedom and victory over the present indwelling sin – the old man.1 Peter 4:1 -2.

This is the principal and singular purpose of Christ birth to save humanity from sin, its present and eternal consequences. Our Lord took on our nature of flesh and blood to save us from its corruption: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God: neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 1 Corinthians 15:50.

At the fall, Adam lost divine nature, the glory of God, the image or resemblance of God, whereby all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. Note: those who sincerely come unto Christ for salvation, have come into contact with the power of eternal creation to enables them to walk and live safely in this fallen world of darkness and iniquity unto eternal life – I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12.

Sin is a reproach to anyone. Repentance and baptism is meant for sinners, but he did it for us, in his incarnation, at the beginning of his ministry, to fulfill all righteousness. Was the scripture not fulfilled that our reproaches fell on him? Note: the baptism of Christ (water and spirit baptism) as one who knew no sin, but was made sin unto us, before he took our iniquity on his own body on the cross, denote the repentance of Christ on our stead before the Father, shown by his humble obedient unto the death on the cross where he made the final atonement for our sins, speaks to our need to take more earnest heed – obedience to the things we have heard; lest at any time we should let them slip. Did he not forgive sins while on earth, that we might know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins? Did he not charge the forgiven ones to go and sin no more? Thus, Christ not only defended us on earth in his incarnation, but much more, he lives forever to make intercession for the transgressors.

Christ was born to die to revive us from spiritual death (dead in sins and trespasses) into a new spiritual life (dead to sin and alive unto God), and to save us from the damnation of the second death.

The second Adam, that is Christ, took on flesh and blood to deliver us from this body of sin: to restore the lost image, glory and divine resemblance by the first Adam through the spirit of regeneration, whereby his divine power has given us all things that that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:3-4.

Christ was born, so that the word of God spoken as judgment to the serpent should be fulfilled, that he will bruise the heel of the seed of the woman. This signified the suffering Christ endured, the pain and sacrifices he made to secure our salvation – who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Hebrews 5:7-9.

Christ was born to bring in everlasting righteousness, to disarm the power of Satan (blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people (Luke 1:68): to take back, and to dispossess him of the stolen glory, power, dominion and other inheritance of man which was gotten by deception in the fall: to fulfill the promise of total destruction and victory over the serpent and his works, that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us, that he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,  In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life (Luke 1:71-75):  he that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8.

King Herod was greatly distressed, restless and troubled, when he heard that a King was born – the King of the Jews, for he feared for his position, throne and power, but the presence of our Lord on earth and of his kingdom is not of this world, but to dethrone the old serpent as the god of this world, and to free all the lawful captives – Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12: 31-32.

Of the increase of his government, there shall be no end: but for now, Christ was born to reign partially on earth as the King of saints in them that are called, redeem and saved by his grace, those who are presently yielding themselves to him as instruments of righteousness, until the fullness of time, when the Father shall bring all things under his feet –– behold a King shall reign in righteousness and princes shall rule in judgment. Isaiah 32:1.

Christ birth reveals the goodwill of God towards his image bearer (Psalms 2:8), and of his love for lost mankind (John 3:16): of the superiority of Christ over the angels (and again, when he brings in the first begotten into the world, he says, and let all the angels of God worship him. Hebrews 1:6) by him who is before all things; by whom were all things made, either they be thrones or dominion, principalities or powers, things in heaven or on earth, and by whom all things consists – Christ.

Christ was born to display the eternal power of the Omnipotent God. To show us the unfolding hidden mystery of God in Christ Jesus, reconciling the world unto himself through the power of the Spirit which was given unto him without measure – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16.

A Prophet has no honor in his house and among his own people. Christ birth on earth increases and intensifies the war between darkness and light, but the light shines in darkness and darkness cannot overcome it. His entrance into the world was to separate the wheat from the chaff, children of God from the sons and daughters of perdition in each family – think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me. He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 10:34-39.

Christ was born into the world as the Son of the Most High – his divine identity (Luke 1:32), to become the Son of man – his earthly identity bestowed for duty as the head over the tribes of the redeemed sinners from all the nations of the world (for the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10), but the judge over all humanity as God’s Messiah bestow with power and authority as honor to preside over the final judgment of humankind – Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:25-29.

This is the only way to celebrate the birth of Christ (Christmas) who was born to bear witness to the truth – the entirety of the word of God: buy the truth and sell it not. Love the truth and abide in it. Speak the truth everyman to his neighbor, for we are members of the same body. Defend the truth and be a fellow helper to it, for we can do nothing against the truth (just like king Herod couldn’t), but for the truth.

Though, our Lord established the ordinance to remember and show forth his death through the bread and wine (the symbol of his flesh and blood) we should partake as often as we desired to commemorate his sacrificial and redemptive work on the cross: yet, his birth, if its effects and purposes should be fruitful and productive, necessitate us to keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth (1 Corinthians 5:8): Pilate therefore said unto him, art thou a king then? Jesus answered; you say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice. John 18:37.

Now, we must obey God, if we love Christ, we must abide in his teachings and every sound doctrine, to walk as he had walked, for Christ become the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Hebrews 5:8. Was it not written about Christ, that when he comes into the world, he – Christ, says before the Father, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. Hebrews 10:5-9.
