The faithful and unwearied life, walk and ministry of the saints in light.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:1-2.

God is light, for this reason, all the partakers and beneficiaries of the inheritance of the saints in light should walk and live as children of light, now that they are endued with the knowledge of God’s way and holiness, it should be the light unto their paths, and lamp unto their feet.

They should walk, not as other gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart (Ephesians 4:17-18): let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not you therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he says, awake thou that sleeps, and arise from the dead and Christ shall give you light. Ephesians 5:6-14.

Believer’s new spiritual identity in Christ Jesus affords him the right of association with the elects brethren to perform his spiritual responsibility in his daily walk, life and ministry before God in the church and in the world: for our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. 2 Corinthians 1:12. Note: we, as a royal priesthood, every believer is a minister in some capacity and extent, just as the ministry of Moses was different in capacity and extent from the ministry of the Koran, Dothan and Abiram according to the calling of grace by diver gifts of God’s Spirit which gives to every man severally as he will.

Do not mix the calling and ministry of perfecting the saints given to the group of certain five men in the church to the administrative gifts or the gifts of the Holy Spirit, they are not the same, though they are for the same Lord, lest you rebel against those who are over you in the Lord, who watch for your soul: obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17.

The descriptions of our new personality in Christ Jesus as holy nation, peculiar people and royal priesthood and God’s own people put us in an elevated position of responsibility on earth as men and women who should be the living epistles of Christ, read and known by all men. 2 Corinthians 3:3.

This is the only way a believer can show forth the praises of God who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. Note: it is of no use if our sacrifices of praise mount to heaven, but the odor of the sacrifice of our body as a living sacrifice, which is not laid to be consumed by the fire of sanctification on the altar of mortification of iniquities, deceitfulness, uncleanness, unfaithfulness and all ungodliness is not ascending daily to the throne of God.  Should it be said about us that we draw nigh unto him with our mouth, and honors him with our lips; but our heart is far from him? Matthew 15:8. Note: those who are called to turn others away from sin, must by themselves, first turn away everyone from his iniquities (the law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. Malachi 2:6): otherwise, they shall be counted as condemnable hypocrites who are with beam in their eyes, but seeks to remove the mote out of their neighbor’s eyes. Matthew 7:3-5.

If we are indeed in Christ Jesus (those that are in Christ have crucified the affection of the flesh with its lusts. Galatians 5:24), it is our responsibility to turn away from the way of iniquity to follow the paths of righteousness with the Lord, lest we should be found to be walking in craftiness and handling the word of God deceitfully, and the way of truth is evil spoken of by a false lifestyle in Christ Jesus: I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. Psalms 119:101.

Except we walk daily and continually according to the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) which God has established to set us free from the law of sin and death, that by it, we might die daily to the flesh, to its lusts, and die daily to the pride of life, we cannot be a sweet savor of life unto life unto the dying world as the result of the lusts and corruption we are yet to crucify in us.

It is practically impossible to be of any meaningful spiritual help to the ungodly and sinners in the world, if we are not living up to the terms of our new identity in Christ Jesus as a holy nation who has escaped the corruption that is in the world through lusts: such act of misrepresentation of God will make our ministry of priesthood unsavory, unacceptable and without salt. Are we not the salt of the earth as says the Lord? Note: believers are transmitters of power and life found in the word of God through the indwelling spirit of God, but it is only those who speak, walk and live by the word of life which can be a savor of life unto life for others, either in the world or in the church. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17.

We, as the partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Colossians 1:12-13) ought to zealously keep this elevated position in Christ Jesus by walking and living daily as the children of light, that our paths should shine increasingly brighter unto the perfect day: but the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18.

In all our conversation and occupation with God, help is obtainable to fulfill his will and attain unto his standard and expectations as long we decidedly approach the throne of mercy to find grace to help us in time of need: for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16.

God is the operator and executor of his will, plans and purposes in the church or in the world through us, if we don’t yields to him as an instrument of righteousness, then we are walking in craftiness, for he works in us both to will and to do according to his good pleasure: but if we ignore this truth, we forsake our own mercy to observe lying vanity. Jonas 2:8.

Before conversion, you were without God in the world (Ephesians 2:12): but, from the beginning of your being born again, to the end of your walk in the new life on earth with God, it is all about divine help and mercy which must be drawn upon each day from the throne of mercy through prayers: having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come. Acts.26:22.

The redemption, salvation, adoption through Christ in our present and eternal relationship with God is of his mercies (but God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved): and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2: 4-7), none of these privileges should be abused nor vaunted over, knowing that they are God’s unmerited favor on us, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not! 2 Corinthians 4: 1a. How can we faint when the light of divine countenance shine upon us for mental and moral upliftment? Despite the fights within, fears without, why should we faint by the reasons of the pressures around us and the challenges before us, if the living God that lives in us does not faint, neither is weary? Isaiah 40:28.

Has he ceased to be the God of comfort which comfort us in all our troubles and persecutions? Why should we faint if we can pray to be quickened with might by his spirit in the inner man that Christ might continue to dwell in our heart by faith? Ephesians 3:16. Why should we faint when it known that God give power to the faint? When we know that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40: 29-31.

If we, by whatever reason faint in the days of adversity, it means that our strength is small (Proverbs 24:10), and we’ve been spiritually suffocated by our circumstances and situation by our prayerlessness. This is to call for failure and an unhappy ending because we will not hold on to faith and good conscience: I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalms 27:14. Note: none of your enemy can touch your body or remove a single hair from your head without the permission of him that keeps you, which never slumber or sleep: Let not your soul faint before the murderer who can kill the body, but not the soul (woe is me now! For my soul faints before the murderers. Jeremiah 4:31), like the soul of prophet Elijah faint by the empty death threat of Jezebel by her dead god which cannot deliver her false prophets from defeat and open shame at Mount Horeb, lest we should be emotionally hasted and foolishly asked for physical death for an easy way out of the world out while God has prepared a glorious exit from physical body to transformation and glorification into celestial body without the taste of death just as he afterward did for Elijah.

Finally, in this article, I will humbly speak of the state of mind of the faithful and honest walk of a faithful steward of the Lord…..but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:1-2.

This is the believer’s personal triumph in the world, and his rejoicing before the Lord, which is the testimony of his conscience: for our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. 2 Corinthians 1:12.

This is the testimony of the imputed righteousness of Christ in the believer’s life, which he holds fast, and will not let it go (my righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live. Job 27:6), for he were sometimes darkness, but now, as a child of light, has renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not only to provide things honest in the sight of all, but also in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 8:21.

This is the generation of them that serve God in spirit and truth. They will not walk in the ways of sinners, and will not seek after them that have familiar spirit: and when they shall say unto you, seek unto them that have familiar spirits and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:18-19.

They will not build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity. Micah 3:10. They will not prophesy in the house of God by the spirit of divination or Baal, but they will speak and do as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty: and I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets; behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Jeremiah 23:13-15.

This is the difference we are saved and called to make in the world as children of light and of the day, not to live in crookedness, and not holding the truth in unrighteousness, that our salvation might be confirmed by God to the end, that we may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.1 Corinthians 1:8.

The believer’s good testimony before other believers and the unbelievers (commending ourselves to everyone conscience in the sight of God) is to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing (Colossians 1:10), for God will judge the secret of men’s work, good or bad, and  will render to every man according to his deeds (Romans 2:16), and will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise or condemnation of God. 1 Corinthians 4:5.
