The divine principles of times and seasons in life – God’s operando timeline with men on earth.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: and he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that knows understanding. Daniel 2:20-21.

God have plans and purposes for the life of every individual made in his image to accomplish his eternal counsel and purposes on earth for eternity. Whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor can anything be taken from it, for God does it so that men will fear and worship Him [with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is God]. Ecclesiastes 3:14. This text speaks of the Sovereign will and acts of God which neither Satan or anyone have any control whatsoever on the various happenings and situations on earth. Whatever is happening on earth is permitted by God, there is time and season for everything under heaven.

For the fact that the creation of heaven and earth was numbered from the first day and night to the seventh day until God rested from all his works shows us that the earth is subjected to time and changes in comparison to the eternal abode of God where there is neither day nor night. God rules over the nations and over all events, happenings and activities on earth. The heaven do rule on earth according to the set time and season of him that sits of the throne. Daniel 4:26.

God is infinite and timeless, but he programmed the earth and man he placed to dwell on earth to function with times and seasons in conformity to his predetermined counsel and divine providence. This is his sovereignty over the heavens and the earth, and over man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he in the matter concerning times and season in life. Ecclesiastes 6:10.

Here on earth, times to us seem changeable, but God has fixed them. Our times and season are in his hand, to lengthen or shorten, embitter or sweeten, as it pleases God who is the governor over all the earth and he operates and run the affairs on earth. Psalms 22:18. The righteous or the wicked man (there is a time or season when a man rule over another to his own hurt. Ecclesiastes 8:9), everyone, irrespective of their habitation or country, have their seasons and times on earth from God. Man does not have control over his own life (Psalms 22:29), neither over the life of another person: because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. For he knows not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be? Ecclesiastes 8:6-7.

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things; and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:24-28.

God has determined what was before appointed, and has also determined the times that are concerning us: when the season of a man comes to the end on earth, there is no discharge on that war – there is a time to die. Ecclesiastes 8:8.

Perhaps, you are going through the season and times of an intense spiritual battles and attacks, but your present difficult situation will change from worst to good, and from better to best, just keep looking unto Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith, and keep pleading the blood by which the enemy was defeated in heaven. There will come the seasons and times of refreshing for the saints from the presence of God:  times and seasons of present rest for the saints on earth, that after they have suffered for a while, the God of all grace will make them perfect, establish, strengthen and settle them. 1 Peter 5:10.

This is the joy, rest and comfort wherein the weary saints in the Lord may rest (thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee. Isaiah 26:3) until the season of drought and famine is gone: behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us. Psalms 123:2.

Your situation and life circumstance is known to God. The season or days of prosperity and the days or season of adversity are ordered and ordained by him: consider what God has done: who can straighten what he has made crooked?  In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him. Ecclesiastes 7:13-14.

God knows the paths and works of all men (the heart of man devises his way, but God direct his paths. Proverbs 16:9), and if they are in opposition to his divine pleasure and eternal purposes, he will make such devises of none effect, so that his counsel might stand forever, and the thoughts of his heart toward all generation. Psalms 33:10-11.

How long you will live on earth (Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Psalms 39:4), and where you will be from a period of time to another is programmed by God (Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps. Jeremiah 10:23): be rest assured that nothing will fail of God’s timely and seasonal events concerning your life and concerning the entire world according to his divine pleasure determined from eternity before the creation of the world: known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Acts 15:18.

God is the disposer of all of man’s affairs on earth (but he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desires, even that he doeth. For he performs the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. Job 23:14), and there is no happening or situation on earth which is not timely programmed and oversight by him.

As soon as Satan realizes that he is cast out of limitless space of eternity unto a finite place of time (therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhibiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he hath but a short time. Revelation 12:12) on earth, by realizing that the God that changes times and seasons will soon bring his reign and oppression of terror to an abrupt ending, therefore, he recklessly intensify his destructive works upon man and upon all the inhabitants of the earth: for there is time and season for every purpose on earth: a time of war, and a time to make peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1.

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. Psalms 31:15. David exclamation here speaks (a) of his dependence in God, that without him, he can do nothing: (b) it also speaks of the rest and patience of the saints in their God: they should not fret themselves in any wise to do evil or to envy the prosperity of the wicked (rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass. Psalms 37:7) in their short seasons and times of rejoicing and triumphing on earth. Job 20:5.

As a child of God, your life (for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14) is totally different from the life of others who are not born again. You should not be ashamed of your suffering and afflictions of the gospel of Christ in the world as long as you are in the will of God: it is the spirit of God and of glory that is resting upon you.

Though you are passing through fire and water, you are going from fire to fire, it is just your season and period of test just like Joseph was first betrayed and sold by his own brethren into Egypt as a slave where he was imprisoned for doing the will of God (because he will not take advantage of the free sexual proposal presented to him by his master’s wife) until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: to bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. Psalms 105:19-22. Note: Like Joseph, perhaps, you are in the season of betrayal and of mockery of failed dreams and visions, or in your season of false accusation of a strange woman or friends, or in your season of false imprisonment and isolation for doing the will of God: the most important thing is the presence of God in you, which is to be consciously kept, walked and abode therein, knowing that his divine presence is all that you needed, notwithstanding your seasons and times, and sooner than later, he will usher you into another season of palace celebration where men and women will bow down before you to celebrate your God from whom comes promotion – exaltation. Psalms 75: 6.

Thank God for the presence of the Holy Spirit given unto us as the earnest of our inheritance in Christ Jesus to lead us into the will of God, and to reveal divine will and mind  to each and every one of us in the kingdom – be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is (Ephesians 5:17): God will give what is best, and he will do the right thing for his saints in his own right time, if they admit in faith to acknowledge that all things will work together for their good in any season and time of life.

As a born again Christian, the responsibility rest on you to seek the Lord for the ability tp know and understand the season and time of God for your life as the sons of Issachar were able to know the different times and seasons of God’s dealings: and of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.. 1 Chronicles 12:32.

In the book of proverbs chapter 14 verses 10, the bible says, your joy is your own; your bitterness is your own: no one can share them with you. …the heart knows its own bitterness; an outsider cannot share in its joy. Others can only pray and intercede for you that God will see you through in your difficult season and times of divine breaking and remolding until he bring you into the season and times of honorary usefulness and fruitfulness as a vessel unto his honour, prepared, sanctified and preserved for every good works of his master.

Each believer must understand the times and seasons of God for his life by asking diligently, lest he foolishly start to compare and compete with other people who are in their rightful seasons and times before God. God’s good times and seasons will find you wherever you are, but you must live, walk and operate under the watch of God and not under your own watch or under the watch of another person. You should not allow anyone to influence you out of your season and times of waiting as Sarah influenced Abraham into the bosom of Haggai her Egyptian maid to bring forth Ishmael. Note: just as Ishmael was cursed to become a terror unto all men (and he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. Genesis 16:12), even so shall any seemingly blessing gotten out of God’s times and seasons be turned into a curse and into vexation of spirit.

When it is not your season or time, it will appear as if God is silence or he is not there for you. God will always be there for you, for he has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. He will only show up when the set time and season to favor you is come (thou shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come. Psalms 102:13) to manifest himself in your situation and be glorified in you: until then, you should wait patiently on the Lord until your change come: if a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Job 14:14.

The sons of Issachar were men of great might and power (and their brethren among all the families of Issachar were valiant men of might, reckoned in all by their genealogies fourscore and seven thousand.1 Chronicles 7:5), yet they have a good knowledge of times and season that they should not seek to make anything happen for themselves, for by his own strength shall no man prevail. 1 Samuel 2:9.

The Lord tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates. Psalms 11:5. In his seasons and times of trials, David got two good chances or occasions to kill and eliminate King Saul and to take his place, but rather chose to wait until the season and time of God for his coronation. It is an act and sin of unbelief to make something happen for yourself hastily out of God’s time: whosoever believes shall not make haste. Isaiah 28:16.

Whatever you make happen by the arm of the flesh outside the timeframe of God’s time and season for your life could cost you dearly, just as Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, was cursed with the leprous of Naaman the Syrian for collecting money and gifts when it was not the time and season to take gifts from others. 2 Kings 5:20.

This is the sin of rebellion against the spirit of God: to despise or ignore the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit is with eternal consequence: in all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. Isaiah 63:9-10.

None can walk unto all pleasing before God if they are not very strong, sound and full of patience. Abraham was an hundred years old and Sarah was ninety years old when Isaac was born according to God’s own set time. And they said unto him, where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. (Genesis 18:9-10): and the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Generis 21:1-2.

The Lord is waiting that you should consciously walk into your season and times of waiting before him: there is a season and times of waiting to seek his face. Sometimes, the Lord can call you into this seasons and times, but it is your responsibility to know this particular season and times to withdraw yourself from the crowd and from other things in your life to enter into this particular season and times before the Lord: and therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. Isaiah 30:18.

Men want power for the ministerial work and personal life, but they cannot wait before the Lord for the time and season of the latter rain to be released upon them: instead, they seek unto them that have familiar spirits and they turn unto occultism and other diabolical spiritual defilement for power – this is a sin unto death. 1 John 5:16-17.

Do not miss the season and times of personal preparation in your walk and work for the Lord. Many of the ministerial failures and slanders we are witnessing today are as the results of men who are not called into the ministry, or though they are called, but like Moses was impatient to rush and involve himself into the ministry at the age of forty at Egypt (Acts 7:23): for he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not until he attained to the age of eighty according to  divine season and time for the commencement of his ministry. Exodus 7:7.

In your season of weeping, rejoice with them that rejoice, your own season of rejoicing will come as well because God will make all things beautiful in his time for you: For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5.
