The mighty saving gospel of Jesus Christ, – the doctrine of the gospel power.

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, what thing is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority commands he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. Mark 1:27.

And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the Sabbath days. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. Luke 4:31-32.

As a member of the body of Christ, the Lord has not left us on earth with an inferior or powerless gospel doctrine and lifestyle. The doctrine of Christ is the power of God to live the gospel life – only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ. Philippians 1:27.

The gospel life is the good news of God’s goodwill towards man, his restoration to the divinity of God as shown and lived by Christ on earth. Beware of the doctrines and precepts of the hypocrites, they draw near unto God with their lips, but their heart is far from him: they abide not in the truth, having established their own words and rules as the representations of the word of God. (Matthew 15:8-9): these are the divers and strange doctrines you are called to guard against, so that you are not carried away by them from the love of the truth (Hebrews 13:9), they are the blind leaders of the blind followers with no knowledge of the power of the written word in the Spirit of it.

You are to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ through daily devotedness to search the scriptures, and to apply it in resistance to any of the false and private interpretation of a false teacher and pastor you are to overcome in the world, lest you be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about by the winds of doctrines, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Ephesians 4:14.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Hebrews 2:3-4. The truth is that we are not left with lesser gospel grace and power to demonstrate and to live (Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8), except that we are in the last days where men’s love is waxing cold and unfeigned faith is fading away with lesser commitment for the love and things of the Spirit. Acts 6:4. Note: though the Lord will grace and glory (Psalms 84:11), but there is no automatic manifestation of the power and the glory of God if we have not first labor in faith to bring forth his power and glory, – if the price for the manifestations for power and glory of the gospel is not paid, we should not expect the same results and effects of the same gospel and its glory experienced and delivered to the world by the early church and apostles of our Lord Jesus. If no spiritual price is been paid in terms of separation, genuine fasts and dwelling in his presence to seek for grace to manifest the glory as long as it takes before him (depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord. For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your reward. Isaiah 52:11-12), there is no prize to show forth or to manifest his presence and glory because the natural must decrease for the spiritual to increase and be made known.

More also, the state of individual’s heart to seek and to know God on a serious note in his willingness and readiness to endure sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3) plays an important role to determine where their faith is resting, lest their faith should be on the sweet and enticing wisdom of men’s word, instead of being grounded in the power of God, – and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.

The doctrine of Christ doesn’t make the religious leaders feel safe and comfortable in their synagogues, and the nominal Christians and false brethren will oppose and do anything possible to scorn it or attributes the work of God to Beelzebub, just the same way Christ was treated because the devil is threatened and made to tremble by the power and glory of the mighty gospel of Christ, even as Elymas the sorcerer once sought to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him. And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. Acts 13:7-12.

This is that authority the Apostle Paul made reference to the Corinthians for their edification, and not for their destruction. 2 Corinthians 10:8. A true witness and faithful witness deliver souls. Proverbs 14:25. God’s servant changes or turns away many lives from their sin unto righteousness, and to deliver their souls from hell. Daniel 12:3.

Soul winning is not a child play in the kingdom of God, though it is a responsibility of believer’s necessity to be fruitful as a branch in the vine, lest any should be cut off or cut away from the tree. John 15:1-6. Whosoever is winning soul is a wise person (Prov.11:30), but he shouldn’t be a witness who is not constantly filled with the Holy Spirit because there is a power of God unto salvation in the word to transform lives – For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13.

Evangelism and soul winning mission has levels. The level of the deputy’s salvation goes beyond the neighborhood soul winning, but a territorial occupation and possession for the Lord which requires (a) being led by the Spirit of God: (b) being bold in the spirit of God to get the job done, lest you miss the catch: (c) being violent in the spirit of God against the old serpent coming around to give a fight for that soul you are about to rescue: (d) being unapologetic for the word of God.  Can anyone imagine the great opportunity awaiting other souls to know the Lord by the influence of the deputy if he happens to know the Lord and comes into the kingdom? But before this could take place, certain things must be in place, such as the readiness of the Apostle not to waste the opportunity or the invitation from the deputy to listen to the word of God in confrontation against to the words of the sorcerer known by the deputy.

Jesus preaches and always heals if the sick is available: except people see signs and wonders, they will not believe. John 4:48. From my personal experiences, sometimes, winning the soul of anyone requires not only the word, but the present of the power of God to heal or to set free from demonic possession, otherwise, you miss the catch: being filled with the Spirit of God against demonic attack aimed at the soul winner, or to overcome the resistance of the enemy, holding back the prisoner from surrendering to Christ.

Sometimes, you get hit by evil arrow (s) if you are not putting on the whole armor of God while trying to save others. Evangelism, either personal door to door, or one on one, or public evangelistic campaign is a power confrontation meeting between the two opposing forces of God’s power from heaven – Holy Ghost indwelling the believer, and the spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. Soul winning is a war mission between the Christ in you and the demon (s) in the unsaved you want to rescue from perishing. Sometimes, the battle against your effort to win that particular soul for the Lord is fought from another base because of the hold, influence and purpose of Satan for such target. Soul winning is a must, but you must be prayerful led, and ready, always mindful of this responsibility before the Lord to ensure your readiness in season and out of season – if thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; if thou says, behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondered the heart consider it? And he that keeps thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his works?  Proverbs 24:11-12.

Note: when the enslave soul is willing, we cannot turn a blind eye to the enemy’s resistance, than to stand and fight for the right and desire of the prisoner of hope that he or she should be made free, and be the Lord’s. Will you be made free? Do we have what it takes – the word, the power of he Spirit in the boldness of the righteous to put them in use? Is it not written that,I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, says the Lord of hosts? Isaiah 45:13.

The kingdom comes by power and by spiritual violent. Rescuing souls is not a child’s play. A worldly, dry, and powerless believer gives birth to another worldly, dry and powerless convert – for though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.1 Cor. 4:15.

Be filled with the Spirit….like Apostle Paul and Silas, we must be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might in readiness to engage and confront the oppositions of the children of sons and daughters of Satan such as Elymas, Barjesus, a Jew, the sorcerer in the church and in the world, if we have to make a good and lasting impact on the souls saved such as the deputy’s soul, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. Acts 13:12.

Whatever teachings, beliefs, practices, tenets of faith that is not linked or traced to the doctrine of godliness which is profitable in all things (1 Timothy 4:8), so that men may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things should not be accepted, – but God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Romans 6: 17-19.

The mighty gospel of Christ is given to deliver us from the hands of our enemies and from the haters of our soul, that we might serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. Luke 1:74.

We have heard that Jeses saves, heals, and he set free. If it is not the doctrine of the healing and deliverance in the body, soul and spirit through the transforming power of the gospel of Christ, probably it is not the full gospel, or it is not of the Father, neither of the Son of God because the Spirit witness and operation to confirm the word is absent, not being acknowledged, because many people are denying the power of the gospel preaching, working miracles today: (and he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Mark 16:15-18): whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 John 1:9-11.

Every sound doctrine must leads and brings to deliverance from sin which is the instruction in rightesousness: (b) increasing godliness and Christ likeness which works the gradual brokenness in a believer: (c) increasing transformation of the crucified Christ, until Christ full measure and stature is seen in him : for this the primary duty of the local church by giving attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine (1Timothy 4:13): and the leaders should be careful and watchful of their gospel lifestyle which should be conformed to the doctrine of Christ, both for their good and for the good of their followers and listeners: take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shall both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1Timothy 4:16.

Christ preached power to his disciples….you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. He lived in power and demonstrated the power of God before them. Whatever you cannot found in the life and teachings of Christ while he was on earth, or was nowhere to be found in the continuation of such lifestyle and teachings by the early apostles (Acts 2:42. Ephesians 2:20) of our Lord Jesus Christ is a vain jangling, devilishly inspired false doctrines  of men of corrupt minds. Think about Christ doctrine of pure and unconditional love of God shed into our heart and the same love for the brethren. Think about the doctrine of purity and sanctification and holiness, without which no man shall see God. Think about the doctrine of the dark sayings of the kingdom – parables. Think about the doctrine of the Lord’s Supper – the body and blood of the Lord. Think about the doctrine of the perfection of the saints (2 Corinthians 7:1), leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works. Hebrews 6;1. Think abot the doctrine of kingdom’s fruitfulness, engagement and growth. Think about the doctrine of unending forgiveness. Think about the doctrine of humility etc.

Any doctrine or teaching that appeals to the flesh and to the world in lifestyle and practice is not of God, – they are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:5-6. The doctrines of God are the pure words of his holiness, revealing the good, acceptable and his perfect will: if any man will do his will, as the Lord says, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, man or Satan. John 7:16-17.

God sent the man out of the Garden because he will not tolerate the doctrine of worldliness he embraced and accepted from Satan – for all that is in the world, the lusts of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, and the pride of life, is not of God, but of the world: but many in their redemptive state resolve not come out of the evil world from which he has delivered them in separation unto himself, but how will he receive them back into his eternal Eden if they are presently spotted with the world? 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. James 1:27.

The Belief and lifestyle of the doctrine of worldliness shall rob or deny the worldly believers of heaven as the broad way and wide gate seekers – friendship with the world, is enmity against God. Indulging and silent over sexual sins in the church without rebuke and condemnation for repentance in holiness and sanctification unto God– the doctrine of Balaam. The doctrine of gay pastors, lesbian bishops, or same sex marriage in the church. The doctrine of prosperity. The false doctrine of a woman’s right, equality and power to exercise ministerial authority from the five-fold ministries. The doctrines of a woman not having her head cover with a veil during prayers, either at home or in the church. The doctrine of eternal security (once saved for ever saved. The doctrine of vegetarian etc are the few of the many false teachings and doctrines of men in the church today.

Whether for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, the word which by the gospel (the good news) is preached to save us will always stirs up a reaction, leaving you with no choice than to make a decision, either to move forward in your growth in God in obedience, or to remain stagnant and unrepentant like the Pharisees and the scribes in the hardness of their heart. The word – gospel has a double sided positive and negative impacts and effects on the hearers, receivers, listeners and the observers. There is a life power supply and death link from the gospel, it depends on how you have received it, and how you have listened or reacted to it, and your action in favor or against it after you have carefully think of the mighty gospel doctrine of Christ from the soul winners. Acts 13:42. Note: the gospel with no power is not the true gospel of the good news of Jesus of Nazareth who God anointed with Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. Acts 10:38.

Be ye clean, be ye clean that bear the vessels of God (a) if the servant of God has separated himself from the world (b) if he will not adulterate or corrupt the incorruptible seed of the word (c) and if his presence is welcome in any house, being unto God a sweet savour of Christ, his peace – God’s peace and pardon as God’s emissary will stay upon that house: if otherwise, his peace and God’s pardon will be withdrawn from that same house. Such is the true power of the gospel when God’s messenger becomes the savour of death unto death in them that perish: and to the other the savour of life unto life, in them that are saved. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17.

If the good news – gospel haven’t gives you the new life with the power to live and walk daily in the newness of life, you haven’t got the news right – you haven’t understand accurately. It pleased God that through the foolishness of preaching the gospel of Christ to save them that believe, but this preaching of Christ crucified is the power of God unto salvation unto them that believe (for our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 1 Thessalonians 1:5), first to the Jews, and after to the Gentiles.
