Friendship with the world -enmity against God
Share

Ye adulterers and adulteresses know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture says in vain, the spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy, but he gives more grace? James 4:4-5.

Note: those who profess or affirm their eternal blood relationship with God in Christ Jesus should be governed by the word of God as declared by the Son of God that he that is of God hears (listen and obey) the word of God, you hear not, because you are not of God. John 8:47. There is no any other way to sanctify God’s name on earth and in us or to lay claim on him as heavenly Father if it is not by way of obedience: for by this we know that we know God, if we keep his commandments. He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2: 3-4.

The problem with the believers who are in bondage to the world is that (a) they want to be part of the world as people in the trend and also be known desire be part of Christ. This is a big spiritual problem of identity crisis as they intermix with the world while in a relationship with Christ: (b) they are living in a spiritual polygamous situation and lifestyle which is altogether spiritual adultery while sharing their devotion, love and affection for Christ with the world’s companionship and intimacy than a fix and single heartedness of heart to cleave unto Christ  in separation of interest, purpose, expectations, companionship (you shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly. Deuteronomy 7:3-4) against the pursuits and other interest of life outside the will or the word of God.

You cannot eat your cake with the world to have it in the Lord. As stranger and pilgrim on earth, any relationship, career or job presenting a threat to destroy your devotion and likely to cause you to sin or make you to go partially or completely back into the world is to be avoided. Did Moses not forsake an earthly royal identity in Egypt, chosen rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season? There are certain things which are not written in the scripture that you should not do, but if you compare spiritual things with spiritual and the eye of your understanding is enlightened, you will know the will of God on such things. For example, should a believer play lottery or a take his chance in a bet game to gain more money for his immediate need? This particular act not only manifest the spirit of mammon and discontentment in the life of a Christian (if he loses in the gambling, he is a waster of God’s resources, and if he wins, his gain is unclean) but a great danger to his stability in Christ in regards to the warnings concerning the seed that fell among the thorns, such as the cares of this world, and deceitfulness of riches; and lusts of other things choke the word to death in a believer’s life. So, a believer should avoid covetousness which is idolatory – sin, and also the love of money and be careful for nothing as the children of this world occupy themselves with everything that has to do with self pursuit and pleasure, but to show contentment with wise managements of whatever is in his purse and possession.

Your life is no more yours in the world if you are in Christ Jesus and you are expected to be led by the Spirit of God  in what you say and where you go and in every other things (John 3:8. Rom 8:14): not as a nominal Christian or the unbelievers, you do not have the same freedom to speak (Eph.4:29) or to live and walk like the people of the world who can go where ever they want at anytime or speak out whatever evil and dirty words stored up from their evil heart as their tongue is theirs and none is lord over them (Psam.12:5): but as for you, you must first consider the reaction or the effect of such words and actions on the indwelling spirit of God. The liberty of a believer is within the bond of the scriptures in such things that appertains unto increasing godliness (but refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 1 Tim.4:7) and not worldliness or friendship with the world as he seek to grow increasingly in the likeness of Christ – conformity to his death as the result of  the victory of the cross given us to escape the corruption that is in the world through lusts by submission to the word of God as he follows his Lord out of the camp (walk away from the worldly mindset and standards of practices and lifestyle), bearing his reproach. Heb.13:12-13.

Friendship with the world divides the believer’s love, loyalty and devotion meant uniquely for the Lord with the world. It is a friendship with the world to continue keeping up with the corruptible vain way of family’s life and customs received by tradition from your ungodly and unsaved parents after you are born again! 1 Pet.1:18. Was this not the reason why God called Abraham out to separation him unto himself from the idols, vain customs and practices or traditions of his father’s house? Note: the call of God is a call for total separation from the world’s mentality, belief, practices culture etc in sanctification and full devotion unto God’s purpose and will without which our testimony in the world will be ineffective and unfruitful.

Whatever you do, in words or deeds, do all to the glory of God: in other words, your dressing in the world should not glorify or point to the world, which includes the music you sing or listen to, your holiday or fantasy vacation, your expectation or amusement should exclusively point to the godliness, righteousness and holiness of God in Christ Jesus, and not in any pattern or copy with the world or from the world, but in the simplicity of Christ for the edification of other believers and of the inner man; not in any way to grieve him by whom you are sealed unto the day of redemption. Eph.4:30.

What is godliness? It is the nature of God we received at new birth which should be lived out in a transformed believer – a new creature who has escaped the corruption that is in the world through diver lusts in the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life. Friendship with the world is the presence of certain uncleanness in the heart and human spirit – filthiness of the flesh and spirit which empower the operation and dominion influence of the outside uncleanness and other lifestyle from the world in the life of a believer to thrive which the bible says that he must work with the word of God to cleanse himself from such things by perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Cor.7:1: 2 Pet.1:3-4.

Though a believer is living and working daily in the world of darkness and sin among the unbelievers who are his co-workers, neighbors, master at work or servant at home as people with whom he conduct his daily businesses: nevertheless, his devotion, goals, practices, affection and attractions should never be the same as of the unbelievers because he is said to be delivered from this present evil world to be as light while he makes the difference in the world: but what difference shall his friendship with the world make out of it? There is a glory of the world and there is a present glory which outshines the corruptible- fading glory of the world which shows and speaks of Christ to the lost world in a pratical way without uttering a single word about Christ. 2 Cor.3:3.

Christ was crucified outside Jerusalem was to sanctify his people (set them apart from the people of the world) is the call for believers to come out of the world and its people in separation unto him. Any believer walking in a conscious determination and effort to live daily under the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus against the law of sin and death will testify to the transformative effects of the application of the principles and the operations of this new law in Christ Jesus as he engross in the things of the spirit, and not in the things of the flesh or of the world, losing interest and affection of the world, not only in the ungodliness of men in what they say or do, but also in the company of the ungodly. As a believer, friendship with the world makes you unsafe in the world, neither are you safe in the Lord as you make yourself God’s enemy – enemy of the cross of Christ. While the people of the world sees you just as one of them, the true people of the Lord also consider you as one of the mixed multitude – a self-deceived individual who is blinded by ignorance or by willful disregard to the truth that we have not received the spirit of the world (to live, walk, speak or have common unbiblical pursuits and interest), but the spirit which is of God, that we might know the things which are freely given us from God. 1 Cor.2:12.

The word of God is infallible, and it does not change at any time of season or generation on earth. Believers shall be judged by the law of liberty (speak and do as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. James 2:12), meaning that his right application or wrong misused (deliberate or by ignorance which doesn’t count – all the same) of his liberty in Christ Jesus against those things which are clearly out of question or dispute as to where God standard of practice and conversation in the world stands on those who are presently living in contrary to his will. As one who has been given unto Christ out of the world (John 17:6) and is currently raised up and made to sit in the heavenly places with God in Christ Jesus, it is unimaginable and disappointing to God for that man who was born from above to debase himself to the lifestyles, mentality, customs and practices of those who are without God in the world. This is nothing but an open betrayal of Christ who once testifies to the Father that they are not of the world, even as he was not of the world.

Christ is against any outward impression without genuine inward changes because true changes should come from within. Should we not as a Christian rejoice with them (believers or unbelievers alike) that rejoice, and to weep with them that weep? Though there are certain things in the world which are permissible to the brethren (if any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. But if any man says unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof: conscience, I say, not your own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience? For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Cor.10:27-31), but they should be done with great precaution and in self control to avoid appearance of evil from a believer who will not be in friendship with the world with the sole motive to make Christ known if haply they might be saved. To the weak, I became as weak if probably I might gain some that are weak is not to live as the weak in friendship with the world in order to fit in (1 Cor.9:22), but in patience and understanding, showing Christ love and compassion of meekness on the weak and ignorant people who are out of the way without being united in purpose, pursuit and goal – for it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavensHeb.7:26. How can we really help sinners if we make ourselves like them in mentality or frame of mind or pattern of life or in any other conversation below the present place where we are made to sit and our life is hid with Christ in God?

Believers’ joy in the Holy Ghost with singing of hymns, high praises of God and spiritual songs to the Lord is found in God his exceeding joy, but the entertainment and source of joy of an unbeliever is not the same as of the people of God because they are not inspired by him, but by Satan. Though their song may sometimes have some biblical quotes and words mix up, do not be deceived by such to buy or to get along with. Should you be dancing or singing to the music of the unregenerate and uncircumcised in heart, – children of Satan this is the friendship with the world! Bodily exercise (physical fitness) is profitable in little things: any believer (male or female) who is mindful of God’s word will never put on a tight pant which lay bare the design of his male or female sexual part in such a way to make other people turn head. Should this be thought that we have truly proven what is acceptable to God?  Is this not the seduction in the world, the friendship with the world – just like the people of the world? Is the fruit of the spirit not in all goodness, righteousness and truth, proving what is that good and acceptable unto God? Eph.5:9.

How on earth and in heaven are you not going to be without offence or be a conscious or an unconscious stumbling block in the world (Mt.18:7) if your love for the Lord is not increasing more and more in all knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God? If you are not heeding to the instrutions in righteousness, how can you be helpful indeed to the sinners in the world? Philippians 1:9-11.

The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus rules against the principles, lifestyles, music, melody, dance (salsa, bolero, electric, rumba, break, samba, jive etc), mentality, perception and the doings of the people of the world (Esther 3:8) in the general life of the church or in the individual’s life of a believer as God’s present reign in righteousness is limited bin the lives of those who are living contrary to his word. The gross and eternal error of modifying the scripture in order to falsely inculcate it to meet the standard of evolution and civilization of mankind in the church is another gospel from the false teachers who got their inspiration from evil spirit and from the pit of hell to present us with another Jesus, and to misguide and destroy the gullible and the wayward in what the bible calls the wind of doctrine (blowing the unstable in the word of God to hell), by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Ephes. 4:14. 2 Cor.11:1-4.

Either for the fear of the world’s opinion or whatsoever (perfect love of God cast out fear), friendship in our false perception (s), lifestyle (s), practice (s) and whatsoever with the world is a fatal spiritual error, bondage and destruction. God made the world, but since the fall and expulsion of Adam from the garden, the world has fallen into the hand of Satan who is the god of the world and the whole world lies in the hand. There are countless ungodly things the enemy has introduced to appeal and ensnare the souls of the fallen man as the effect of the consumption of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil: in those things, no believer should participate for whatever reason.

There are two different separate kingdoms on earth. One is the kingdom of light and truth where Christ is the King, while the other is the kingdom of darkness and deception of which Belial or Satan is king over the children of disobedience. Satan as the god of this world will never make it back to heaven; therefore, the believer should be renewed in the spirit of his mind from any false perception or fair speeches of false and misleading teachers that teaches you not to deny yourself in the ungodliness and worldly lusts lying that you shouldn’t put yourself in any bondage, but their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they mind earthly things. This is what the bible calls the error of the wicked that promises liberty, but they themselves are servants of corruption: of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought into bondage: those that are clean, escaped from those who live in error. 2 Pet. 2:19.

A believer should detach himself from his false and lustful emotional attachment with the world because his liberty in Christ is the deliverance from the corruptible ways, perception, lifestyles and ungodly association with the people of the world – you shall be holy unto me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from peoples, that you should be mine. Leviticus.20:26. There is nothing like godly and worldly believer, you are either worldly or godly. God and Satan will never come to an happy ending, therefore, believer should not in any way or form or manner or thought or practice be in league or agreement with the world against anything written in the scripture of truth: but if it’s seems okay for him to accept or tolerate anything from the world in his life or in the church which should not be according to the word of God, let him know that the light in him is turning to darkness, and if the light in him is darkness, how great is that darkness? Mt.6:22-23.

The world should seek for the friendship of true a believer so as to become a true follower of Christ (Esther 8:17); but sadly enough, it is the church who is out there to seek the approval and acceptance of the world by her friendship with the world. The true gospel of Christ is a call and deliverance from this present evil world, but to give any false impression of a gospel lifestyle which does not speaks of coming out of the world and be crucified to the world and the world crucified to the believer makes the preacher or the good news bearer guilty of deception and having the blood of any unbroken and unbecoming believer in the church in his hand. Has Christ not once preached against friendship with the world that a servant cannot serve two masters? Has Christ not once preached against worldly lusts and the vain perception of its worth that your life does not consist in the abundance of the things which you have in possession? If a believer who is said to be born again by the incorruptible seed of God’s word divert to another way of life which is totally different from the gospel life, it is plain that by his doings or actions, he has chosen Satan as lord in the place of Christ though he confesses to Christ as Lord as many confesses him without doing his will.

Can two walk together except they be agreed? The truth that the spirit of God is now in us is very comforting for all the spiritual blessings and privileges he offers because the believer body is sacred and is taken over by God, having being purchased by the blood of Christ. He should be mindful of what he does with his body, and what he puts on, where he goes, and how he treats his body in the world before God who yearns jealously by the spirit which he has given to dwell in us.

A worldly believer can only beget or produce another worldly minded believer for the reward of his worldliness. For example, if you were in the beach with bikini while half naked to enjoy the sun in the assembly of sinners, but you happens to get a convert who is impressed by whatever they see in you, how do you convince or persuade them that such lifestyle is wrong for you are living in the same? Is this the way to glorify God in your body which is God’s? In the comfort of your house and privacy with your spouse you may do whatever is pleasant to relieve yourself from the sun, but it becomes a sin if the comfort you seek is out of line with the word of God. Should not the comfort of the holy scriptures be enought to delight your souls in every season of life? How can anyone think in his heart that they can lead or bring a sinner to Christ and the fruit should remain if their personal example or lifestyle is not plainly established and rooted in the word of God, if otherwise, they will become like the converts of the scribes and Pharisees who compass land and sea to make one proselyte, only to make him a child of hell twice worst than they really are? Mt. 23:15. You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness. 2 Tim.3:10.

Friendship with the world is enemy against God: it is therefore a sin of an open rebellion against God in the world for a believer is who is called upon to come out from the world but walk and live contrary to seek for the taste and enjoyments of its pleasure. 1 Tim.5:6. The present glory of God in his saints should not be confused with the glory of the world, and his blessing that makes rich without sorrow should not be considered as the riches and wealth of the ungodly. If wealth and riches should be the sum of the glory of God in his saints, then should godliness be gain, but the holy writ is clear when it says that gain is not godliness. 1 Tim.6:5. Friendship with the world inhibits our spiritual growth and relationship with God: it darkens the glory of God to brighten the beauty and glory of the world in a believer, but this is the vain glory which the enemy once offered to our Lord when he was tempted by Satan which the Lord resisted, rebuked  and avoided in his pursuit and interest after godliness. Mt.4:8.

Without separation unto God from the people of the world, believer is guilt by association. Christ say if ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you; John 15:19. Friendship with the world is a self made yoke, defilement and a spiritual bondage, but we are called and saved out of the world – for then you must need to come out of the world (I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people – not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler – not even to eat with such a one. 1 Cor.5:9-11.

At present, believers are kept by the power of God in preparation for heaven as a chaste virgin to be presented unto Christ at his appearing and kingdom. Could we say or admit that those who are adulterers and adulteresses, who are presently in friendship with the world and are now counted as the enemies of God by their ways and manners shall be found of the Lord in peace without blemish or spot?  Friendship with the world is an open defiance against the word of God: do any of the brethren in the Lord think they can stand against the fury of his jealousy and his vengeance against such act? Amos 2:4. Should we not place emphasis on what and who interest us and upon the nurture of the future spiritual aspect of our body against any friendship with the world, lest at death, our souls be gathered together with those we love to associate on earth and our life has shown the same picture as theirs while we live? Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where your honor dwells. Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men. Psalms 26:8-9.

It is good to see the world as the Lord sees the world and to use the world without abusing it, lest any be found guilty and condemned alongside the people of the world. Like the Israelis in the wilderness, they desire to walk with God into a new land, but they also like to keep the culture, mentality and practices like they were once used to live in Egypt like the Egyptian. This type of mindset only shows little appreciation of divine nature which also stands in the way of sanctification unto the Lord and separation from the thoughts and life patterns of the world.

Walk in wisdom towards them that are without (unbelievers), redeeming the time. Col. 4:5. Christ was a friend of publican and sinners but we also know that his friendship with a sinner is short lived as he gave instruction to his disciples that into whatever house you enter, and they receive you, let your peace remain in that house, if the son of peace is there, if not, take back your peace from there. If Christ had for once blend with sinners, there should be no need or point looking for him and asking his disciples to see him, for sinners will know exactly where to find him such as from the bar, night club, cinema house, beach, opera evening (after the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. Leviticus 18:3): wherefore it is written: be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

Beware of the inclusive doctrine of Satan in the church today. God welcomes everyone from the world into the church just as they are, but he is not expecting them to be the same as they were when they first came: people must change and bring forth fruit worthy of repentance, otherwise, they are of those who are ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of truth, from such, withdraw yourself. 2 Tim.3:7.

Could you not have a more focused interest towards them that loves and fear God – the people of the God of Abraham with whom you hope to spend eternity together? Are you not vulnerable to sin by wrong influence and being exposed to the enemy’s attacks because you are presently unequally yoked together with unbelievers? Come out in separation from whosoever and whatever is contrary unto God, and unto God himself. Keep away from any common purpose which may implicate you with a sinner outside the will of God: blessed is the man who does not walk in the ways of sinners. Keep away from the people of the world in the church just as Ruth walked away from her people and the idols of Moab to attach herself with the people of God.

Let us consider the characters and the descriptions of the righteous man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scornful: surely, this man is blessed of his God as he brings out his fruit in his season – such fruit solely found in God (Hos.14:8) able to stand the test of time and to abide unto eternal life. Psalms 1:1-3.

Separation from evil implies (a) open denouncement and renouncement of it – if you don’t do it, you shouldn’t show pleasure in it or accept to honor the person of them that do it – woe unto them that call evil good: (b) separation in desire, motive and acts from the belief and ungodly popular acceptance of the ungodly people of the world in the way that relates to moral principles. Are they gay and lesbian, polygamous, pansexual, demisexual, bisexual and other diabolical sexual confusions and orientations out there which you shouldn’t accept after the example of the righteous Lot while living among the Sodomites openly vexed his righteous soul from day to day: forsake the foolish and live, and go in the way of understanding. Prov. 9:6.

How do you contend, and before whom, and against whom do you have to contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints without your active separation from unequally yoked together with unbelievers and from the mixed multitudes in the church? Jude 1:3-4. Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 John: 9-11.

From the book of Genesis chapter 35 verses 1 -4, we read the sobering account of Jacob and the people of his household’s response to God’s directive to worship and the requirements of an acceptable approach to worship and fellowship with God. Jacob was to build an altar unto God at Bethel; therefore, everyone is required to prepare themselves in holiness to meet God. In verses 2, Jacob stresses the need of a pure heart, a clean body, and a change of garment in approaching God. Note: the Babylonian stylish of clothing and fashion is not acceptable in our walk and worship as becomes saints: but that which glorifies, not the flesh or the world, but God in our body should be modestly put on.

In verses 4, the entire Jacob household submits and gives unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hands (bangles) and all their earrings which were in their ears, and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. This was the way Jacob’s grand- mother once lived her life in reverence and acceptable worship and service before God. In similar comparison with no contradiction  to the instructions of the Holy Spirit as to what should be the normal physical presentation of women who profess godliness or the daughters of Zion who are the female children of God by faith in Christ Jesus, the scriptures is clearly written: likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; while they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be (whatever God says should not be, let it not be, lest you be found guilty of adding or removing from his word – a liar) that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands. 1 Tim.2: 9-10. 1 Peter 3:1-5.

What is your preferred adornment and wardrobe or attire in Christ – godly dress code or friendship and communality with the world’s strange clothing and habiliment? Whatever was the tribe, or nation or color you came from in the Lord, you are now a new creature in him, fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Why should you be discontent with God’s glorious and natural beauty by altering your natural beauty and appearance like Jezebel in friendship with the world? 2 Kings 9:30. Have you ever heard of the presence and the operations of water spirits (demons) in human’s life, especially in the lives of men and women who are in the church, but are living carelessly in the world?

Faith clinic International of Nigeria Ibadan Oyo state is an interdenominational power gift (healing, faith and working of miracles) ministry of the late Dr. I.K.U Ibeneme where I had grace to be invited for fellowship and where I was fully met and set free by God through deliverance ministration (and God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 1 Cor.12:28-29) where demons are cast out by the power of the anointing that breaks the yoke – in my name shall they cast out devils. Mt.16:17-18. I can now relate as to the reason why the deliverance workers and ministers in those days’ were found with scissors in readiness to remove the foreign hairs and any hair attachments from any women having hair attachments during the deliverance ministration. Those are spiritually polluted and unclean hair as one can clearly see a very fierce uncontrolled resistance from a possessed victim of possession whose eyes, though are closed during the season of deliverance, but is resisting the removal of those strange and foreign hairs from her head, but by the help of two to three ministers holding her, the job is done and the person is delivered without any spiritual root or property for any demon to lay claim upon for coming back if sin is altogether avoided as well.

Many of the brethren are with no understanding of the spiritual implications of this truth except God should open their inner eyes to see beyond the limit the of natural eyes concerning the claims, the right and the influences of demons attached to those foreign hairs on the people who are using them. Did you have any knowledge of the spirit which was formerly in operation in the life of a deceased person whose hair was sold to you for beauty? Have you any information of the root and foundation of the life of a person who sold his long hair to gain extra money before you buy such for personal use? Have you any report of the gods – demons to whom those hairs were cut off and were offered as offering or sacrifice before you buy such for personal use?  Be it the hair of an animal or of a dead person before it was chemically changed for sale, have you any information concerning this?

Some of those unseemliness and spiritual inconsideration are the opening doors to demonic possessions and unending spiritual battles and attacks for many ignorant and self-willed believers who seeks to live up to the world in friendship with the world. Some black skin believers – male or female shamelessly bleach the color of their skin to whiten it while others white or black brethren are going to the extent of facial surgery with breast implants or enlargements, are these things of the spirit of God or the world? Is this to set the affection on things above or things on earth? Are we truly in Christ and of him if we are not crucifying the affection and lusts of the flesh to be doing like the men and women of the world? Gal.5:24.

If you have white or black, gray or brown hair, you should show gratitude with contentment before the Lord of your natural hair as you seek not to change its natural color to tint like the people who are in the world. Why can’t you seek divine wisdom through prayer on how to manage your hair and keep  it clean and genuine or natural other than compromising it with different ungodly and unrighteous hairstyles and attachments such as pick and drop, crochet braids, bow braids, micro, Marley and Senegalese twists, jumbo, twin, tree, Dutch braid and sleek pony tail braids, Bantu knots, faux locks, curled, braids twists, Beyonce ‘say yes’ style, ombre braids, Brazilian blow out –  and when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothes thyself with crimson, though thou deck thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rent thy face with painting, in vain shall thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life – beauty is deceitful, and favor is vain, but the woman who fears the Lord shall be praised. Jeremiah 4:30. Prov.31:30.

The Christian life is a self abandoning to Christ centered life. There are worldly friends and things to give up and to walk away from because you are not of the world, though you are in the world. Everyman at his best state is altogether vanity (Psalm.39:5): your pretty self is nothing, and all that should matters to you should be to be more of Christ Jesus and less of you. As a new creature in Christ Jesus, cleanliness and modesty sometimes known as demureness, is a mode of dress and deportment which intends to avoid the encouraging of sexual attraction in others should be your watchword in order to glorify God in your body and spirit which belongs to God, not to show up the sexy legs, thighs or upper parts of the robust – bouncing breasts on the chest, but to cover appropriately as a godly and not a worldly woman.

The people of the directly or indirectly world make noises about themselves of the clothes they wear and of the lifestyles they are living, should you not seek to know nothing in the world except Christ crucified, seeking to draw men to Christ and not world’s attention to yourself by competing with them in whatever way? Self-conscious gait in a fine and gorgeous, short or tight transparent top or down may be good in the world, but it does not get you the honor and testimony of Christ which comes from the fruit of repentance of a new creature among genuine believers. Appearance is good, but sometimes deceptive. Good appearance is not being pompous and starchy and to look like a peacock, to make you high and mighty among others like King Herod before an angel of the Lord smote him to death. Note: the fact that the measure of the treasures and the riches of divine grace comes from within us to manifest outside, we ought to have more on the inner man than in our outward man: for though, our outward man perish, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day: but if our focus and desire is drifted apart from our association with Christ by the things and people that are not abiding, how can we be made after the likeness of him that died for us and rose again?

How do you spend your free time? What factor (spiritual or physical) is commanding or having overall influence over your life? Think on anything pure, lovely, and of good report, and do them. What is the greatest thing for you? What and where is your happiness found? What is your association? Is Jerusalem your chief joy or the happiness of the beachgoers and theatergoers and those that goes for the carnivals of the world where Satan and the flesh is glorify? What do you feed your eyes upon on the television? Is it on the lustful, sensual, sexually explicit image and vicious program series? Think twice about it that the spirit of God is not happy and his works are significantly reduced in you because of your friendship with the world, but the grace he gives is the space of time to reconsider your position and place in the world and in Christ.

Friendship with the world is today’s greatest and most effective weapon of Satan to blacken and darken many believers and make inglorious the glorious church of Church. Most men in the church are doing things to be seen and known by the world and not to be seen and know by God, for if they have separated themselves from friendship with the world, they should be doing things not to be seen by men as Christ says the Pharisees ways of life than to live and do their things in the sufficiency of God because of their love for Christ – if any man love God, the same is known by him. 1 Cor.8:3.

The world has crowded into the church to defile and to remove the offence of the cross from the church and to make the gospel of Christ of no effect that he has come to bring separation and division, even from a believer away from his unbelieving relatives and parents. Mt.10:35. The identity of the church is from heaven where Christ came down to establish it on earth and made them as partakers of the heavenly calling who should not be the friend of the world. Why are the unrepentant sinners sitting today in judgment, and the wicked standing in the congregation of the just? It is the failure of those who are called to separate but refuses to obey. Yes, there are false teachers and prophets who mind earthly things, and who for filthy lucre gain preaches what ought not to be preached (Titus 1:11), but what about the problem of the itching ears believers who are not ready to listen to sound doctrine, but after their own lusts they heap to themselves teachers to tell them what they love and prefer to hear? 2 Tim. 4:3-4.

Those who are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh. What is your mindfulness – your utmost goal and pursuit? Lay hold on eternal life, says the Lord, and follows after righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that called on the Lord out of a pure heart. This is nothing than friendship with godly believers. But sadly enough, holiness churches with sound doctrine are very few today because many shall cleave to them of flatteries – the scriptures cannot be broken. When a believer seeks his validation on earth, he is subject to friendship with the people and things of the world. Have you not read about the testimonies of them of whom the world was not worthy, who prefer to suffer and to die than to be seek or receive any ungodly covering from Egypt in their friendship with the world? Heb.11:38.

If our conversation (common wealth) has its existence in heaven, why are so many brethren engrossed and attracted by the things that limit men in this world, instead of being occupied with the things that are eternal and incorruptible, and which belongs to that world where thieves do not break through to steal, nor most doth corrupt? Are the things above having their proper bearing on you, the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus, so as to be transformed in conversation according to the place where your life is now presently hidden with Christ in God in order to overcome those things in which carnal believers and men of the world are finding their lives and pleasure? How do we appear now in personality and character outshining of what is of this earth in character if our conversation is not conformed to the death of Christ? Was not our conversation from heaven, and from there we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself?

We are living in a perilous time, there is nothing so edifying and comforting as to be spiritually minded, looking forward to the coming moment when the eternal counsels of God in Christ Jesus according to that which he has proposed in himself before the foundation of the world will be achieved in those who are not overcome by the world or being defiled by the corruption that is in the world through lusts. Christ is the believer’s hope of glory, but those believers who are seeking for the present glory of the world can have their glory now: but what eternal contempt and shame is awaiting them in the day of glory when the Lord shall be glorified in his saints?

The believer is a very special or peculiar person to his God by the merit of the blood of Christ with a measure of divine power presently outworking the formation of Christ death and resurrection in him whose present friendship with the world can impede God’s eternal designed of his present operation and future outcome in his life. This present relationship with God in Christ Jesus is designed to draw others to Christ if we obediently maintain our position before God in the world. Is the road to hell not wide and broad, and many are they going through it? The believer’s life and manner or practice of it should be interpreted in the light of the scripture, and not in the conception of the majority, neither by the happenings around him, nor in the life of his environment or society, or by the world he lives: but to live by the word of God, not building his hope on the false premise that majority are invariably right.

Sadly enough, some believers are not happy in the Lord, except they are in friendship with the world. Christ has become an offense and stumbling stone to the don’ts sour believers – you can’t do this, you don’t go here, you can’t wear this, and you can’t go there. The calling, salvation and the good plans of God for your life outweighed any inclination or persuasion for worldly gain, advantage or the tendency to fall in line to the standards of those around you or in your life in friendship with the world which shall be bitter and regrettable at the end if you don’t repent now in total separation from the world unto God with all your heart and lifestyles.
