Three months ago, I was in a revelation in my dream where I found myself in the midst of a large crowd for a sort of conference meeting in a very large space of double storey house. Inside the first floor is found the second stairs leading up to the second floor but with restricted access exclusively for those with a special badge to climb up. I approached the stair to climb up to the second floor but the security control personel demanded to see my pass or badge for clearance to access or climb the upstairs which I don’t have on me. All of a sudden, a gentle man intervened to speak to the security guy on my behalf, instructed him to allow me a free passage upstairs because I am one of the delegates. Thus I got verbal attestation or witness for clearance to climb up to the second floor and upon this I woke up.
From the revelation, I realized that there are two different groups of people in the conference hall: namely, some delegates of the ground floor and others with special badge of identification pass to climb upstairs to access greater things. Delegates are representatives vested with power and authority to act on the behalf of whom they serve as envoy, emissary, commissioner, agent, deputy, commissary, spokesperson, spokesman, spokeswoman and front man. In the bible, they are the ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5 verses 20) of Christ to make known the kingdom’s ways and principles: to show his character and resemblance: and to exercise the authority of his name vested, bestowed and delegated to them to preach in his name; to cast out demons, and to lay hands on the sick with many such things as one truly sent and authorized: they are back up to represent Christ on earth for God works with them to confirm their words with signs and wonders following as they ceaselessly make him known in word and indeed. Mark 16:15 – 20.
Some delegates are more powerful than others. Some are low profile but powerful; others are high profile and power-​charged such as when God adavanced Moses and Aaron (1Samuel 12:6) as there are diversities of gifts, but from the same Spirit which gives to every man severally as he will. Think about Philip having preached the gospel to the Samaritans with signs and wonders following to the extent that Simeon the sorcerer got baptised and was saved: but at the arrival of the super delegates (Peter and John. Acts 8:14 ) sent to pray for the saved to receive the baptism of the Holy-​Spirit; except that, Philip has not the fullness of the in-​dwelling Spirit of God, the ability and faith to lay hand on the baptised believers that they might be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The two groups of delegates are all the members of the body of Christ (Church) but in two categories: the first part are the believers or disciples in the church while the second part are the men representations of the five-​fold ministry – the apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists and teachers. These have the special power and authority of the kingdom from Christ to forgive sins or not to forgive (John 20:23) according to the response, kindness and wickedness shown by the recipient of the gospel, just like Apostle Paul spoke and uttered instant judgment upon Elymas, bar Jesus, the false prophet who sought to hinder the salvation of the deputy: then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him. And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Acts13: 6 – 12.
The heaven’s and angels of God works with his children and alongside his faithful ministers twenty-​four seven (thou went forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with your anointed; thou wounds the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly. Habakkuk 3:13 – 14) and God’s eyes are upon them day and night to confirm the words of his servants (Isaiah 44:26a) and the counsel of his messengers just as the same way he honored the decree issued by Joshua the captain and leader of his army when he spoke to heaven to suspend the sun to stay bright and not wane down until the people of God avenge their enemies on the mountain of Ajalon (then spoke Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel. Joshua 10:12 – 14). Had Joshua not spoken, the heaven wouldn’t respond to react, and the sun should have gone down at the time of his going down as ordained or programmed by God without the completion of the job to the advantage of the four nations gathered together to fight against Israel: for then, the victory wouldn’t be completed and full.
These are the keys of the kingdom of heaven: they are the keys of revelatory faith, knowledge and authority given and bestowed upon the King’s associates and delegates on earth: to show that the heaven’s rule and God’s reigns through his delegates and witnesses — he gives power and strength to his people: when Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. He says unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16:13 – 19.
To bind and to lose simply means to forbid by an indisputable authority and to permit by an indisputable authority: thus, Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, as the Lord God of Israel is alive, before whom I stand; there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. 1 Kings 17:1. Notice the authority of Elijah as God’s delegate before the nation of Israel occasioned the release of the judgment of drought upon the idolatrous people from heaven, but not according to the word from heaven or because God has spoken to order it: if it were a direct word from God, he should have said; thus says the Lord, there shall be no rain nor dew according to the word of God: but no, he declared, according to my word, as a delegate from God before whom I walk, there shall be no dew nor rain and the heavens suspended rain because it was righfully bind on earth by the servant of God.
The devil has fallen down as lightening from heaven, roaming around on earth, and seeking whom to devour. If you don’t take authority to bind and lose him according to the word of God to bind or loose as led by the Spirit of God within you, heavens won’t act on your behalf and nothing will change if the situation is not from God.
From Luke 13 verses 16, we see the case of the daughter of Abraham whom Satan bind for eighteen long years and she couldn’t walk straight until Jesus found her on the Sabbath day to loose her from the bound of her infirmity. We are given authority to undo (loose) the works of Satan, for which cause the Son of God was manifested to destroy. When we cast out demons, it is to loose those that are possessed and bound by evil spirits.
Years back at the Apostolic church at Baffoussam at Cameroun after a ministration during a week revival, I was sleeping during the night when I felt into a revelation where I saw angry mob shouting and advancing towards my room where I was given to stay by the church elder. Behind this mob was a strong and tall man following as one sent to take me out like somebody who has commited an offence they’ve come to arrest. Just as they came in, I stood up against them to bind in the name of Jesus. As soon as I spoke the first word, the mob were paralysed and down, but the giant stay tall and standing. I exercised the same authority continously directly on the giant whom I discovered that each word spoken to bind him in the name of Jesus are making him decreasing or dimishing in height until be finaly turned to a bird and flew away. These are demonic spirits that were cast out from their victims but sought to take revenge by bringing in a strong man to defend their cause. In spiritual intercessory prayers and warfare, you’ve got to know how to exercise this binding and loosing power and authority effectively.
Some pastors and Christians will argue blindly and erroneously that you must loose whatever has been loose beforehand in heaven or bind whatever is beforehand bond in heaven. This is what amplified translations of the bible says in Matthew 16 verses 18 – 19 which is unscriptural if you must compare scriptures with scriptures as a wise bible scholar and scribe, establishing every truth by two or three witnesses: and I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ]. I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven.
There’s nothing already been loose in heaven that you should have to loose on earth: if you don’t first loose it on earth, heaven will not loose it! Elijah, if he has not commanded to release and loose fire from heaven, the captain over the first armies of fifty soldiers sent to arrest him should have made a mockery and humiliation of him; for he said, if I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven to consume you with your soldiers (2 Kings 1:12): and Elisha, having learnt how to wield delegated spiritual authority appropriately from his master, besought heaven to smite the soldiers sent to arrest him with instant blindness: but, if he’s awaiting the heaven to smite them with blindness like in the day God rained hailstones and fire over the Philistines in the days of Samuel and Saul, he should have died before his time — and when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:18.
Angels are waiting for your command, instruction, decree and spiritual authority to speak before they can execute and enforce your word according to the judgment written: let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-​edged sword in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise you the Lord. Psalms 149:5 – 9.
God is not willing that any should perish and Christ lives to intercede for them that are written in the book of life, and is able to save them to the uttermost them that come to God by him: but there is a secret judicial power invested upon the church leadership to ex-​communicate – to lock the door of church membership and admittance behind’s the back of an unruly, adamant-​unrepentant, though once saved, but a stubborn believer – to count him as an unbeliever and unsaved because of his ungodly and unbecoming comportment and self-willed; that he should lose his salvation in Christ and his name be wiped out from the book of life. This action does not come down from heaven to the church on earth, but an action taken by the church leadership on earth and recognized, approved and accepted by heaven to be so: and this, God will do, if the elders of the church act appropriately: though, if any man drawback (for whatever reason) God’s soul shall have no pleasure in him, but he will honor the responsibility and authority vested and delegated on his body, especially on the church leadership – moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglects to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:15 – 18.
