The foundational seal of God and believer’s seal of his salvation and calling. 2 Timothy 2:19. Nimes 21:8:20

According to the text before us, it is not only that the foundation of God stands firm with the seal (divine approval and personal testimony of authenticity) that the Lord knows those who are his, but his own also have the testimony of the indwelling of his Spirit that they are his and that they are walking worthy of God unto all pleasing (for this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:9-12), even as Enoch once walked with God and had the testimony of the Spirit of God that he pleased God in his walk and daily conducts until God took him away to heaven. Hebrews 11:5. When we come to believe and accepts Christ for salvation, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit given unto us as the down payment and guarantee for our full salvation (in whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13-14) ready to be revealed in us at the appearing of Christ: this is to say that God has not withheld his Son to die and afterward sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts to witness with our spirit that we are now children of God for our comfort, re-assurance and preparation for the next phase of our salvation, to wit, the redemption or transformation of our physical body which shall be fashioned according to his Son glorious ressurrection body to be fulfilled in his time when death shall be swallowed up in glory and the mortal shall put on immortality, then shall we see him as he is and we shall be like him and forever be with the Lord our Christ throughout all eternity.
The present abiding presence of the Spirit of God in us is very significance to get us prepare ready and worthy of our expectation or hope of eternal life which God that cannot lie has promised us before the foundation of the world. Titus 1:2. God has given each and every one of us an allotment or apartment in his many mansion where Christ is now preparing a place for individual’s, but we also have to seal or make sure that the place reserves for us in heaven still have our names written on it (and unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; these things says he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou live, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shall not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shall not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.Revelation 3:1-6) lest another man should take our place and the crown initially prepared for our eternal glory is given unto another. Revelation 3:16. Let us glean a little from the warnings and the rebuke of Christ to the church at Sardis. She is seen and known outwardly by many as a living church, but the Lord sees her spiritually as a dead church because of her sin of pleasure, luxury and worldliness – she that lives in pleasure is dead (spiritually dead) though is alive – woe unto them that are in Zion. Amos 6:1. 1Timothy 5:6. Many Christians willingly or ignorantly exposed themselves to the fatal dangers and eternal implications of sensuality and luxury (those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For the fashion of this world passes away.1 Corinthians 7:31) as the sin which God see and would judge and condemned as carnally minded which works death against the new life they are called and saved to live in daily and constant renewal of the spirit of their minds (Ephesians 4:23) to be and live as spiritually minded people of God (Romans 8:6-7); not to set their affections on the things on earth, neither to make provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof, lest by their false Christian walk and practices or acts, they should betray themselves for the love they professes to have for God while loving the world and the things thereof. 1 John 2:15-17.
The first step to seal up your place in heaven is to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. How do you do this? It is by the way of obedience to the will and word of God, doing all things without murmurings and disputing: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Philippians 2: 12-15. Being born again, not by corruptible seed, but by the incorruptible seed of the word of God that lives and abides forever (1Peter 1:23): how wisely it is to bind up the testimony to seal the law of God in your heart (Isaiah 8:16) ; being mindful of this to walk and to put away former conversation the old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts (Ephesians 4:22) that you may be able to clinch and to secure your place for already reserved for you in heaven. The word of God is the eternal life cord or seal that is given to join the believer together with God in Christ Jesus so as to prevent him from coming apart or to prevent anything from passing between them. Note: let those who have received the word and are saved by it attach and glue themselves to the word to continue therein, lest they lose the life therein and their place above promised therein – it is the word of eternal life, the word of his grace which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among those who are sanctified by it (Acts 20:32): Is it not to the man with a broken spirit and contrite heart who trembles with great regards and reverence to keep the word of God that will receives honor to dwell with him forever? Isaiah 66:1-2.
Christ once asked the crowd that were following after him, why do you call me Lord, Lord, Lord and do not do the things I command you to do? Why do you call me Lord, but you are not submissive to my Lordship and rule over your life and submit to the will of my Father in heaven concerning your life? Such Spirit of false profession of tongue of Christ Lordship over your life would only keep the entrance door of heaven shut against you and you won’t be able to access or receive the inheritance incorruptible and undefiled recompense of reward reserved in heaven for you: blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Peter 1:4. 2 Peter 1:11): by faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. Hebrews 11:24-26. Note: to make sure of your mansion above; you have to come out of the world in separation unto God and be willing to lose your place of worldly and secular entertainment and pleasure, movie house, beach vacation, worldly identification because you are no more of this world in any commonness and friendship with the world which is an enmity against God; to labor and to live daily unto him who died for you and rose again by speaking the truth in love that we may all grow up unto him in all things which is the head, even Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:15. James 1:27. James 4:4.
James and John, the two sons of Zebedee approached Christ to ask for an heavenly favor and honor that each one of them should sit at Christ right hand and another on his left hand in heaven: but our Lord response was that it was not in his power to grant their request except the Father who has reserved such glorious place and position for those who do merit it. Note: though we have done nothing to merit the salvation given unto us a free gift through faith in Christ Jesus (God demonstrated his love towards us that while we are yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8) but we must prove before God through grace and faith by our labor of love and work of faith (for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:10. 1 Thessalonians 1:3) showing before him who knows our love, works and labor the esteem or value of the preciousness of the gift of eternal life we received from him that we have not received the grace in vain, neither have we once despised the spirit of grace. Mark 10:35-40.
I want you to take for an example a football team where each player must fight for his place or jersey shirt in the team during the training season to be selectable among the first team players. This requires discipline and hard work, though each player is skilful and signed up by the club with a huge financial sum of money; yet, each and every one of them still have to fight for his shirt and position to seal up his place in the first team and to prove before others that the huge sum of money invested on him does indeed worth it; otherwise, someone else who is able to outdo the other during the training season would seal up his position to take his place in the first team at the expense of his underperformance club mate during the training season. Likewise, though you are born again, but if your life is not spiritually productive unto God (for the earth which drinks in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God: but that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. Hebrew 6:7-8) and you are like an empty vine, bringing fruit just only for yourself, your end is near destruction, you won’t make heaven, much less to have a place among the spirit of just men made perfect in the heavenly Jerusalem
The first groups of people that will lose their inheritance in the kingdom of heaven are the workers of iniquity among the children of God – the sinners of God people (all the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, the evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.Amos 9:10) who have received grace as license to sin, instead of them to deny all ungodliness and worldly lusts through the power given by grace to triumph over sin, flesh, world and Satan from above (Titus 2:12.): for many, says the Lord, will say unto me in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and have done many wonderful works in your name? Then shall the Lord answer them, depart from me, I never knew you, you the workers of iniquity. Therefore, the text before us warns everyone that calls upon the name of God to depart from sin –iniquity. Whosoever is born of God does not practice sin because his seed remains in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God. This is how we know the children of God and the children of Satan; whosoever does not practice righteousness is not of God. There are three kinds of God’s will, namely, the word of God as the written will of God to practice and obey: (b) the will of God as reveals to us by the Spirit of God leading us daily and seasonal into the plans and purposes of the heavenly Father concerning our lives in conformity to his eternal plans and purposes – as many as are led by the spirit are the sons of God. Romans 8:14: (c) holiness in the body, soul and spirit – sanctification. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that you should abstain from fornication. 2 Corinthians 7:1. 1 Thessalonians 4:7. Note; nearer to God should be our daily prayers, pursuits and goal, while self distance from sin against its hardness and against all its deceitfulness and against all its pleasure, that we should abstain from all appearances of evil; and to draw back or away from the world against the lusts thereof should be our daily watchword and spiritual labor: for consider him (Jesus) that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Hebrews 12:3-4.
The manifestation and exercises of spiritual gifts is not sufficient to seal anyone’s position and place in heaven if increasing obedience to bring forth fruit of holiness is missing –without holiness, no man shall see God. Hebrews 12:14. By this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep his commandments. If any man says that he loves God and does not keep his commandment, the same is a liar. When the bible speaks about making your calling and election sure (2 Peter 1:10), it’s asking and urging you to take certain steps and make certain spiritual additional improvements in spiritual growth in preparation and certainty to seal up your place and position in heaven. 2 Peter 1: 4-9.
Note: it is better to go through hell on earth with the present comfort of God’s Spirit (for through many tribulations shall we enter into the kingdom of God) and of Christ abiding presence through the valley of the shadow of death’s race, pilgrim journey and spiritual battle to heaven, than to abandon carrying your personal cross to indulge the flesh – spotted with the world to spend eternity in hell without Christ, where their worms dies not, and there fire is not quenched – now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed. Acts 14:22; Romans 13:11. Therefore, let us learn from the obedient of Christ our frontrunner, how he became obedient before God unto death, even the death on the cross. Whatever personal, spiritual, financial, marital or career challenges, persecutions and difficulties you may be going through, it is the affliction of the gospel according to the power of God: you must also drink your part from the cup of the fellowship of Christ suffering, so that when his glossy shall be revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. They that would live godly shall suffer tribulations, but do not falter or seek to compromise (so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer.2 Thessalonians 1:4-5) rather than to seek for increasing grace to endure patiently (blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.James 1:12-15) while looking for, and hasting unto the coming of the day of Christ.
My sheep hear my voice and they follow me. I have given them eternal life and they shall not perish; no one shall pluck them away from my hand…..those who will make heaven knows quiet well that they will make heaven because there is no condemnation in their hearts as they keep doing those things which are well pleasing and acceptable in the sight of God: whether they sleep or awake, they are the Lord’s, for they have chosen to follow the Lamb where so ever he leads them: and where Christ is, there shall his servants be found. By the way, if any man draws back, having put his hand to the plough and looking back, he’s lost his place and position in heaven; and if any would not endure to the end, how sad it is going to be for such throughout all eternity; but those who are securing their place in heaven has engage themselves to run the race with patience and in such a lawful way as the rules of engagement is concerned so that they should not be disqualified but to obtain the prize. They know themselves to be strangers and pilgrims on earth, therefore, they have disciplined themselves to bring their body under subjection and to die daily unto it, and in the crucifixion of it each waking day, knowing that the lusts of the flesh wages war against the soul, lest after preaching to others, they should not be a cast away. They are God’s warriors –spiritual soldiers, fighting the Lord’s battle in righteousness and in truth until he comes to take or call them home: they shall come out of many tribulations, having washed their robes daily in the blood of the Lamb to make it white, they shall be clothed with white garments and palm leaves shall be given unto them to celebrate their victory and triumph over the world, the evil therein and the evil one who rules in it – Satan.
