But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9.
Though the fall of the first Adam has a lot of negative consequences on mankind and the whole creature presently groaning, yet, the benefits, privileges and the spiritual honorary dignitaries’ responsibilities and power brought about through the redemptive death and resurrection of the second Adam, that is Christ from heaven upon believers of all ages outweigh any loss or damage brought upon us from the first Adam – the man of the earth. Is the scripture not fulfilled that as we have borne the image of the earthly, even so shall we express or manifest the resemblances of the heavenly? Though we have not yet attain, to wit, the redemption of our body (Rom. 8:23), yet at present, we are sharing and manifesting in outshining of the beauties and glories of the glorious gospel of the Son of God (2 Cor. 4:3-4) as we put on the new man which after God is created in righteousness and in true holiness (Eph. 4:24),  rejoicing in God through Christ that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Rev.1:5-6.
Believers have many given names and designated titles which define their spiritual responsibilities in their positional relationships with God in Christ Jesus. Such as Christ is all things to them, believers are many things to Christ, such as joint-heirs with Christ, brethren of Christ, friends of Christ, disciples of Christ, servants of Christ, ministers of Christ, including the children of Christ. Have you ever wondered why Christ on several occasions calls his disciples as little children? Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. John 13:33. Whatever their title is, or the position of relationship, or what may seems as a special privilege of a spiritual gift and experience above others, one thing is certain; they are all brethren and children of Christ: as it is written, it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of him who shows mercy. Rom. 9:16.
The word children of Christ may sound a little bit difficult for some to digest, but believers are Christ children as by whom (the word) all things were made before he willingly partake in our nature –flesh and blood to bring us back to God (Hebrews 2:14) by his blood, death and resurrection from dead: (b) we are Christ children whom the Lord of hosts that dwells in Zion has graciously given to him for signs and wonders. Isaiah 8:18: (c) if Adam was the father of the fallen man because his sin was imputed unto all, even unto them who have not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s sin (Rom. 5:14): then is Christ the father of the redeem, even of all those that God has given him out of the world; for they shall reign by his name (Psalms 72:17: Philippians 2:9-11) on earth, even as Christ is presently reigning in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth (and they sung a new song, saying, thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Rev.5: 8-10) by his exalted name; for he must reign, until all is subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
If Christ is the son of God, believers are also children of God by faith in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:26): whatever Christ is, such are they who are in him (therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s; whether Paul, or Apollo’s, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your’s; and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. 1 Cor. 3:21-23.  If Christ is their faithful high priest in things pertaining to God in heaven (Heb. 2:17), they are his royal priesthood in things pertaining to the kingdom of God on earth. If Christ is the King of kings, and Lord of lords, he has also made them as delegate kings to rule on earth through the decrees, power and authority of his word and name.
The Lord that is mighty – whose name is holy (Luke 1:49) has done great things for these vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles (Rom. 9:17-26), to unify and to make both one holy nation in him as people redeemed from the four corners of the world out of different tongues, tribes, colors and backgrounds, to be delivered from the hands of their enemies, and from them that hates them, that they might serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of their lives. Luke 1:70-75.
Christ on earth is God on earth, the kingdom of God, spiritually brought down on earth – the pearl of a great price which is so precious that a man must sell all that he has just to have the pearl of a great price as his most cherished gem (Mt. 13:45-46): and these that have sold all that they have, and have forsaken all that were gain to them, considered all things but loss for Christ sake (Phil.3:7), are also made as his peculiar people, so that they should show forth the praises of him who has called them out of darkness into his marvelous light. Note: the dignity that we derives or gain from the privilege of our relationship with God in Christ Jesus, also reveals the spiritual sensitivity of our union with him, namely, the call to behave in dignity (the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect): to sanctify the Lord, not only in the heart, but in our walks, ways and lifestyles, otherwise, it could be found to be found to be misrepresentation of Christ or falsification of spiritual identity and association with him (Luke 13:24-27): but ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people. Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. 1 John 3:1-3.
The holy fire issuing out from the holy anointing of God upon the head of the royal priesthood should not be mixed, lest it be defiled by the fire of wine in the course of ministration before the Lord, lest the fate of Aaron’s sons befall anyone who will not sanctify the Lord in the temple worship to get drunk while performing sacred duty. Lev. 10:8-11. Should the priest continue to profane the holiness of God that he, whose eyes are purer than to behold iniquity should not required it? What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? When thou doest evil, then thou rejoices. Jer. 11:15.
Esau, the firstborn of Isaac lost the inheritance of his birthright to his younger brother by his careless attitudes and behaviors; therefore, looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; lest there be any fornicator, or profane person (irreverent), as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Heb. 12:15-17.
There are morals and spiritual characteristic feature of qualities of recognition from the elects which shows the hallmark or particularity (so that the eternal purpose of their election, which is their final celestial glorification in Christ Jesus should be fulfilled. Rom 8:29-30) of their call, dignitaries and position in Christ, namely, their complete and total surrender in consecration unto the Lord – their faithfulness unto the Lord, even as it s required of a steward to be faithful – their holiness unto the Lord, even as God who has called them is holy. It is exclusively by these feature qualities that they can truly show forth the praises of him who has called them out of darkness into his marvelous light, lest they should become like the Pharisees hypocrites of which the Lord likened to whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Mt. 23:27-28.
A priest should have a faithful and trustworthy spirit of godly confidentiality, not a talebearer who reveals secrets (Prov. 11:13): not a pastor, brother or sister in the Lord who will bring your burdens and private issues to the altar to preach – sin is to be rebuked before all, that others may fear, and the unfruitful works of darkness be reproved before all (1 Tim. 5:20), lest we should have fellowship therein, but to narrate the struggles and sufferings of another man which is confine to you for prayer support or encouragement is to betray their trust: he that goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flatters with his lips. Prov. 20:19. Note: if the choice you make daily in your life, walk and lifestyles is not to chose the way of truth, and  to execute and walk in the written judgments of God (Psalms 119: 30), you are a vessel wherein there is no pleasure before him; you are in the group and generation of doom – ungodly believers in the church, though they are pure in their own eyes, but are not washed from their filthiness (Prov. 30:12): therefore, cleanse yourself from all the filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Cor. 7:1.
They are a chosen generation, known and called and expected to be faithful unto God before the foundation of the world: this should be their pursuit and goal in the fight brought to them by the enemy against their call (these shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.Rev.17:14) to reign now in life through abundance of grace , and of the gift of righteousness (Rom. 5:17), even throughout all eternity with Christ as an over comers over self, sin, Satan, world and false prophets.
Chosen to be obedient to God’s word (elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. 1 Pet.1:2), to follow the Lamb wherever he leads them – my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
The elects are chosen, not to be uniformed with the world (remaining the same in all cases and at all times; unchanging in form or character – not fashioning themselves according to their former lusts in their ignorance. 1 Pet. 1:14), but to make the difference in the world of sin, lusts and pride as Christ representatives, in his true representation, not only of the good news, but the bearer of his image in the new creature – the divine nature, conforming our conducts and pathways to the image of Christ’s death for the future resemblance of his resurrection life hereafter. Rom. 6:5. They are chosen to walk with God and to show the world of sinners that there shall always be remnants reserved and separated unto God from the people that dwells on earth, who has not and will not bow to the god of this world (and he said, the God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou should know his will, and see that Just One, and should hear the voice of his mouth. Acts 22:14), but will serve him reverently, contrary to the ungodliness and unrighteousness of men in the world: your words have been stout against me, says the Lord. Yet ye say, what have we spoken so much against thee? You have said it is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Then they that feared the Lord speak often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not. Malachi 3:1318.
The peculiarity (worth, value and preservation) of the elects lies in their diligent walk as becomes saints, lest they should be partakers of the wrath of God coming shortly on the children of disobedience (Eph. 5:1-7): but by walking daily in the newness of life according as his divine power has given unto us all things which pertains to life and godliness in the true character of him who is holy, and has called us to be holy in all manner of conversation in the performances and execution of our spiritual life, walk and tasks in the power and authority given unto us as royal priesthood:  herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17.
Yesterday during the preaching at Mission Timothee at Nimes, Brother Olivier underline the scriptural importance of the responsibility of individual believer in his duty to be able to share the word of God to comfort, exhort and edify others in the capacity of grace they have received from God. Should not the word of Christ dwell in each and every one of us in particular richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs? Colossians 3:16. Should the royal priest of Christ not full of love, replenished with all knowledge, so that he is able to admonish others in sound doctrine?  Rom. 15:14.
Should not the heart and the mouth of the priest utter knowledge a right? Should God’s seekers not seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts? Malachi 2:7. Shall not the upright dwell in God’s presence (Psalms 140:13), should he departs out of the way, and cause anyone to stumble, and the Lord will not require the blood from his hand? Woe unto the world because of offences. Mt. 18:7. Note: we should prayerfully seek to remove any stumbling-block of whatever sin out of our lives which may jeopardize or imperil the faith of someone else – decide never to do anything that would make others stumble or fall into sin (1 Cor. 8:13. Rom. 14:13) inasmuch as we should not tolerate whosoever to become a stumbling-block of sin against the will of God in our lives. Mt. 16:23.
Believers in Christ Jesus are kingdom royal spiritual priests, called to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable (in a clean vessel) to God through Jesus Christ: let us therefore yield our members which are upon the earth as instruments of righteousness for the fruit of holiness; that none be found among the present priests conforming to the evil  behaviors of Eli’s sons, hardened by the pleasure and deceitfulness of sin, because they think that where sin abounds, grace did much more abounded! Is Christ house of prayer and God’s temple (believer’s body) becomes a den of thieves and robbers? Is this not to crucify the son of God afresh, and to bring him to an open shame before others? Should we not reasonably and seriously seek for grace, whereby we may serve God in true righteousness and holiness? Should not the ruin and the destruction of Shiloh (but go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel. And now, because ye have done all these works, says the Lord, and I spoke unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. Jer.7:12-14), and the generational curse of God upon the household of Eli’s priesthood and family make us wiser as not to toy with the responsibilities that comes with royal priesthood, it’s right, privileges and power which Christ purchased by his own blood and  give unto us as an inheritance?
Let us stop walking in the imagination of our corrupt and evil heart, not trusting or relying on any of the fair words and sweet speeches of the corrupt men among us who are destitute of truth, that we are delivered to walk as the unbelievers do, having the understanding darkened, through the ignorance that is in them, by the blindness of their heart (Eph 4:17-18), lest we should be polluted and removed and cut off from the royal priesthood. Let it be known that if we devalue the worth of our relational position in Christ Jesus, and our privilege is misused by taking wrong, false and oppressive or manipulative advantages of our relationship with God to live in corruption and to corrupt others, we stand the risk to lose the ark and glory of God’s tabernacle with us – Ichabod, the departure of glory and the loss of the  presence of God (1 Sam. 4:21): the worst could still come upon us that he who walks in the midst of the seven candlesticks – Christ could as well decides to remove your candlestick from his church (Rev. 2:5): you are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men. Mt. 5:13.
