Not even the Unites States of American’s first amendment right that prohibit the congress abridging right to freedom of speech is found to protect every idle word but found contradicting when people say things that are inhumanely and outrageous. Sometimes, people call it hate speech and sometimes they call it bigotry, so we found out that free speech is not really meant for loosed tongue and senseless talks. If a private employer fires an employee because of the employee’s unlearned speech, there is no first Amendment violation. Therefore, freedom of speech has its bondary and limitations There is a popular saying from one of the old African cruel dictator and President – Idi Amin of Uganda. He once said, ‘I can guarantee your freedom of speech, but I cannot guarantee your freedom after the speech’. This means that your failure to think well and lack tongue restraint or of self-control to speak any inappropriate and derogatory words without considering the consequences of your freedom of speech may cause you a big problem and bring you into a regrettable situation that you wished that you had not exercised your freedom of speech at all. If it is really a freedom of speech, why should people retract or remake their words or apologised altogether after speaking badly and uninformative? Why should somebody give excused that they don’t really mean what was said when threatened for what they say or met with overwhelming public condemnation?
It is also true from the scriptures warning us to be careful and slow to judgement and conclusion relating to the works, operations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and his supernatural manifestations around us. We should not be jealous and bitter against another man’s gift to cause our mouth to sin because envy will destroy the silly ones in hell fire. Job 5:2.
Believer’s authority in the Lord is his right to exercise power over demonic influences. His wisdom is to keep quiet at first instance and pray for right judgement, discernment to judge and make right choices under the prompt and inspiration of the Holy Spirit which should not be doen by strife in his heart or by any carnal emotional utterance that comes from competitive and rivalry spirit, anger, bitterness, jealousy and self-aggrandizement.
How can you being evil speak good things? Blasphemous spirit belongs to the company of the fallen angels who fell with Satan. His primary work primary among others is to slander God and the operations of the Holy Spirit: and to present the manifestations of the power of God as evil. To promote Satan’s agenda by portraying him more powerful more than the Omnipotent Almighty God. It is treasonous to be a blasphemer and treason is punishable by capital death, even second or eternal death.
If we turn everyman from his evil way, Jehovah will forgive our iniquities and sins. Though evil is purposed and spoken against us for them, the Lord will turn away from the fierceness of his anger, he knows our frame and he remembers that we are dust. With God, there is plenteous redemption and forgiveness, even when we say things that are not true about him or against him. God is plenteous in mercy and willing to forgive the wickedness of the wicked even the worst sinner who will approach the throne of mercy with a penitent spirit shall be forgiven. ‘Who is a God like unto you that pardoned iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retained not his anger forever, because he delighted in mercy. He will turn again; he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old. Micah 7:18-20.
God will forgive times without number to redeem his Israel and purges him completely from all iniquities until the mouth of all iniquity is stop and they attain to perfection in holiness in his fear, prepared and ready the coming of the bridegroom. But to speak blasphemously and to spread evil propaganda against the Spirit of God who is probably at work in his servant’s will shut out forgiveness and redemption. Watch your mouth and tongue to frame the words that are coming out of it. ‘Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith so ever they shall blaspheme: but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: because they said, he hath an unclean spirit. Mark 3:28-30.
Jesus made it point clear that the sin of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven; not only in this world, and neither in that which is to come because the Jews (out of bitterness, envious spirit and evil hearts) said that he cast out demons by the prince of demons -Beelzebub. The Pharisees ignorant of the scriptures and the power of God often moved them to question the source of Christ power and authority. By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you authority to do these things? In their confusion and comparison, jealousy and competition against Christ, they slanderously (false and slanderous and defamatory manner) attributed and credited the works and the power of God in Christ to Satan. They openly magnified the power of Satan above the power of God because the crowds are just increasing every day by day after Jesus. And, because our Lord was not a registered class of Scribes, Sadducees or Pharisees, they refused to acknowledge his authority and therefore labelled him as one having evil spirit, though he opened the eyes of a man born blind and did all things well. Mark 7:37.
The scripture is clear that the enemy’s expertise is in duplicating everything about God, but we have received discernment from the Father differentiate between the original manifestations from the Holy Spirit and the duplicate miracles from the pit of hell. Time and fruit will tell of the authenticity and durability of any work initiated by the Spirit of the living God. It is better to lay hands in the mouth and suffer not your mouth to cause your soul to sin when God has not revealed anything to you about a minister instead of foolishly following multitudes to hell through ignorant talks. Acts 5:34-39. Judge nothing before the time until the Lord come, who shall bring all the secret works of men into light; and then shall every man have the praise or the condemnation of God. As a child of God, we should be very careful not become an unconscious evil- broadcaster instrumental for blasphemous spirit to malign the true servants of God by giving credit for and attributing genuine works of the Holy Spirit to demonic operations and power to seal your doom and destruction throughout all eternity because of the untamed tongue.
Satan set up the lying signs and wonders through his deceitful workers that are transforming themselves into men and women of God. This are meant to tarnish the testimony of the church and to deceive many and cause them to lose faith in the real power of God. Fakes and diabolical miracles are proof that there is true and genuine anointing from God through whom every good and perfect gift comes from. Don’t join the wagon of bad and evil news caster in the world who never expects anything good to come out of the church- the body of Christ.
Before the arrival of that great and terrible day of the Lord, Jehovah will increase the manifestations of the miraculous and supernatural signs and wonders on earth and in the church through his children, young and old, male and female to dumbfound his adversaries and to save the weary and oppress souls and to testify that Satan is already fallen as thunder from heaven. You’d better keep your mouth shut because it was foretold that greater works shall be done on earth by the Spirit of God among the people of God in these last days, even much more than what Christ did when he was on earth. We have not seen even the half of such miracles until the glory of the latter house shall be release from heaven through the outpouring of the former and latter rain on earth. Has Christ walked on the sea; his servant will walk on the space and on the sea, for greater works than his shall they do. Has Peter’s shadow healed the sick and ordinary prayer soaked and anointed handkerchiefs from Apostle Paul’s body cast out demons? Men that are filled with the Spirit and power of God shall throw their clothes on the crowd and the demonic possessed shall fall down by the anointing representing the presence of God and everything shakeable shall be removed that the oppressed should go free by the power of the Holy Spirit: as it is written, in the battles of shaking (brandishing weapons) shall the Lord slay the enemies. Isaiah 30:32.
Prior to his crucifixion at the Garden of Gethsemane, the crowd came with machetes and cutlasses against the Lord to arrest him. He showed himself up and answered the crowd that came for him that ‘I am he’ let my disciples go; and the multitude fell down. John 18:6. What then is the big deal when people slump under the anointing and God? But the only thing i refute are the pople trying to push someone down by force while laying hands on them. That is not good, we shouldn’t force things to happen. The Lord said, hardly shall any man perform miracles in his name speaks evil of him. In truth or in pretence, if Christ is preached, it should be our joy and satisfaction, allowing the fruits of individual works to speak for them and judging nothing until the day of reckoning, except you are absolutely sure. Why are you trying to sabotage others for what they are doing to advance the kingdom of God? What if you are wrong and your mouth has caused you and others to sin? Mark 9:39.
The kingdom of God is not in talking but in power. Pay the price and sacrifice your food and stomach to fast and give your time for consistent prayer life and see what the Lord can do through you. Why are all those powerless, vain talkers, dry and carnal pastors and believers have made themselves so cheap to work for the enemy through bitter envy and strife in their hearts against God and against his anointed ones? These days are just the beginning of the manifestations of divine glory and power of the former and latter rain in the latter days, so keep your mouth shut. Just as the enemy is doubling his efforts to captivate souls, through diabolical lying signs and wonders (for there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect) even so Jehovah is ahead of Satan multiplying divine signs and wonders by raising up and empowering new generation of spiritual volent and faithful armies to raise higher standard against the wickedness of the wicked and to set the captives free. Matthew 24:24. Acts 2:17-21.
Was Christ not rightly named as wonderful, counsellor and the Almighty Father at birth – and the children whom the Lord of hosts has given him are for signs and wonders? Isaiah 9:6.
Why are the faithless and powerless Christians joining the wagon of sinners to cry foul play when the world has not seen half of those things that God has prepared for them that love him and the church has not done half of what the Lord did as regarding miracles? When Jesus was on earth for his ministry, against him did the people cry a foul play. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, what shall they call the people in his house? Matthew 10:25.
It’s irreversible and damnable. Don’t say what you don’t actually know. The devil is filling the hearts of the uncircumcised (unconverted, unregenerate and unbeliever) today with jealousy, wrath and evil speaking, malicious and blasphemous words to destroy the credential of the gospel of Christ, his kingdom and his loyal and gifted ambassadors to obstruct the advacement of the kingdom of God and salvation of souls.
The scribes from Jerusalem could not deny that our Lord cast out devils which plainly revealed that Christ was sent of God as Nichodemus affirmed before him that no man can do these miracles that you are doing, except God is with him. John 3:2. Because of the increasing crowd around Jesus each passing day that heard and believed in him, they were moved by jealousy and bitterness of heart to insinuate that he had Beelzebub (chief evil spirit of evil and adversary of God) on his side and was in power covenant with him, and by the prince of the devils Jesus cast out devils. To this, the Lord strictly warned against the sin unto death, the unpardonable sin. ‘If any man sees his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death (hell fire) I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever is born of God sinned not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, (including his mouth) and that wicked one touches him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life’. 1 John 5: 16-20.
The mouth of the foolish is his destruction and his lips are the snare of his soul (Proverbs 18:7) thus can a little fire (tongue) kindle a great matter. The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men…lust, robbery, theft, fornication, gay, lesbian, prostitution, adultery, lying lips, murder etc if sin is sincerely confessed and forsaken, there is forgiveness with the merciful and gracious God, passing by transgression, iniquity, and sin, that he may be feared. Psalms 130:3-4. Many are bent to speak what they don’t know or understand simply because we are in a free world with freedom of expression and opinion. They foolishly followed to please the crowd to make their voice heard on what is not given to them to speak about and in which there is no remission. James3:16. Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work is pure, and whether it is right. It is undeniable that there are many charlatans, witches and wizards, magicians, satanic ritualise and mediums presence in the churches, transforming themselves as the children, servants and apostles of Christ, whose ends shall be according their works. We must prayefully and scripturally discern them and avoid them. Proverbs 20:11.
Power belongs to God and it is the God Israel is he that gives strength and power to his people (Psalms 68:35) but the powerless and talkative men and children of God who are in the state of spiritual dryness and unfruitfulness and are not experiencing supernatural manifestations, ministerial results and growth in their vocation are turning to their tongues as weapon of influence to gain admiration from the world and using their tongue as the weapon of mass destruction to condemn, find faults and portrays strong and fellow workers in the ministry as evil, accusing them of possessing evil power to draw crowd and to bewitch the people. i know there are many such things, but the Holy Spirit is doing greater works that this on earth as well ever than before- be careful.
Our Lord asked the Pharisee, if I cast out devil by the prince of devils, by whom do your children cast them out? This imply that before the arrival of Christ on earth for our salvation and redemption, the children of Satan have been performing miracles to gain souls for Satan and to increase the population of hell -bond souls.
The Lord said to the noble man at Capernaum, except you see signs and wonders, you will not believe. Jesus healed all them that came to him for healing; but not all that were healed had faith to be healed, though faith is required for healing and to receive miracles. We must have faith in God to receive whatsoever we desired of him. Sometimes, Jehovah’s compassionate act is demonstrated both on those that has faith and on those who had little or no faith.
From the scriptures, there are two kinds of supernatural healing and deliverance – mercy and faith healing. The former required no faith from the recipient. It is a divine kindness shown and granted to demonstrate the power of the living God and to make a believer out of any Thomas. It is a divine ‘prerogative compassionate act and the goodness of the Lord’ who is good and kind to pour his rain to refresh the wicked and the unthankful.
You can see one of good examples of such healing in the gospel of Luke chapter 7 verses 11-15. ‘And it came to pass the day after that he went into a city called Nain, and many of his disciples went with him, and many people. Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and many people from the city were with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had ‘compassion’ on her and said unto her, weep not. And he came and touched the bier, and those that bore him stood still. And he said, young man, I say unto thee, arise. And he that was dead sat up and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother’. The Lord didn’t bother the woman to ask his regular healing question ‘do you believe I can do this’ from the widow!
Second, the great Shunamite woman does not believe to expect pregnancy, neither did she ask for a miracle child from Prophet Elisha, but because God will reward her and husband for their hospitality and kindness (blessed are the merciful, they shall obtain mercy) shown to his servant, she was told that she and her old husband shall have a son even though she did not initially believe as she responded to the prophet when she received the message: I pray thee, do not lie to your servant. To further her unbelief after the death of the boy in her sorrowful conversation with the prophet on the mountain before her boy was resuscitated back to life, she confronted Elisha as she asked him, did I ever asked you to give me a miracle child or have you come to punish me for my sins by giving me a child, just for him to die prematurely and to cause me sorrow? The miracle of her child resuscitation back to life ignited her faith in the God of Elisha as she finally believed; and said; now I know that the word of God in your mouth is true. 1 Kings 17:24.
We should not attribute every infirmity and sickness as the cause of sin, affliction and oppression from Satan. Some sicknesses are a pure and natural cause even as God asked Moses during the burning bush conversation prior to his assignment to Egypt when he was giving excused for his inability to speak fluently for his commission to bring the Israelites out of it. Who made the deaf, the dumb and the blind? Some sicknesses are providentially by divine designed, when men are born as deaf, dumb and blind. For Jehovah’s pleasure they are, and were created. Look into the case of the man born blind in the gospel of John. He had not sinned; neither had his parents sinned, but that the work and the power of God might be shown through him. Eventually, divine purpose was fulfilled as he and many others believed in the Lord Jesus through the mercy healing of the restoration of his sight. Do you believe in the Son of God? Jesus asked him after he found him again after the Pharisees had thrown him out of the temple. Who is it Lord, please show me, that I might believe in him! And Jesus said unto him, thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talks with thee.And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. John 9:35-38.
In the compassion of God for the Israelis, he gave the signs of the rod turned into a serpent to Moses and his hand dipped into his body which became as white as leprosy so that the children of Israel might accept his claim that he was sent to deliver them from the bondage of Pharaoh and of the Egyptians, to soften their hearts to believe and obey him for the process of their Exodus from Egypt.
Salvation from sin and hell is the greatest miracle we have received for the resuscitation of our spiritually dead soul for the new birth through faith in Christ Jesus. If we have obtained any other miracles of healing and deliverance prior to this greatest miracle, they are wrought to help us to have faith for the greatest miracle of crucifixion with Christ, salvation and freedom from sin. In the gospel of John chapter 4, we read the encountered of Jesus with the Samaritan woman; and how the Lord through the gift of the word of knowledge (you have had four husbands and the one you are now living with is not your husband) won her heart and brought her to faith and repentance. Upon her conviction, she ran to the village from the place (well of Jacob) where she met and spoke with the Lord to announce her new life and salvation by the Lord to the villagers. Faith is the entrance to the heart of God. It is the link to the divine and the access badge to enter into the supernatural to see and receive the things hidden to the natural eyes. It is the match that set the fire of God lighted, but it’s absent weakens the most powerful hand of the Almighty God. Without faith, we cannot please him. Spiritual gifts are given (but the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.1 Corinthians 12:7) to bring the faithless to have faith in God. It shall wise to keep the mouth shut when we are witnessing real but supernatural things from the living God around us, or are hearing it from afar off; for the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord, lest our mouth cause our soul to sin against the Holy Spirit. It is more and worse than an idle word to attribute God’s wonder working resurrection power of Christ to Satan and demons.
The merciful God and unforgivable sin- glutton
Food is good when it is proportionally eaten at the right time. What is good can become ruinous when the application of it is excessive, wrongly abused and untimely employed. Food matters and some men will do anything for their stomachs and thus their belly becomes their god. For food’s sake, do not destroy the works of God in your life. Learn wisdom and self-control from the profanity and foolishness of Esau who sold his birthright to his younger brother (Jacob) for a morsel of bread.
We must have preference and be careful when it comes to food and eating. Food that is good for someone else consumption and digestive system may not work in our system, but may rather cause health issues if eaten. Adam and Eve displayed irreversible catastrophically bad judgement after their wrong craving, appetite and eating from the tree of good and evil forbidden to them by God. Their erroneous act resulted the effect of the universal sin and were cursed to sweat and labour for food because they would not labour to take heed to the word of God – the bread of life. Was it not because they lacked restraint but wanted to have a little taste (en peu de tout) of everything tasteful and eatable that they saw that the fruit was good for food and one to make one wise and afterward ate it? Doubtless, Satan tempted our Lord with the same temptation failed by Adam and Eve but in a different presentation. Jesus was tempted to turn the stone into bread (appealed to Christ appetite) which Adam and Eve fell into by eating the fruit. The Lord was tempted to jump down (appealed to his pride) with angelic intervention and succour which Adam and Eve fell into as they saw the fruit as food to make wise (woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, prudent in their own sight), knowing good and evil. Christ was tempted to bow (reverence) down (loyalty and integrity tested) to Satan in exchange for all the glory and riches of the world which our Lord rebuts: but in this particular temptation, Adam and Eve failed by heeding Satan word to be independent of God. Satan is a liar, thief and destroyer. In actual fact, their obedient (reverence) to Satan means the turning over of their lives in slavery and their inheritance to him as owner contrary to their expectation of independent from God. Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God must he live. This is the fact that food was the cause and the means employed by Satan to deceive Adam and Eve in the Garden –appealed to their appetite. Instead of them to esteem the word of God necessary more than the one and only fruit forbidden from the rest of the fruits in the Garden to eat, they acted contrary and defiantly to see what will actually happened if they should transgress the word of God. They died spiritually and inwardly, just as God said that the day, they shall eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they shall die. It was a spiritual death, alienation from the life of God. You see them running and hiding away from the presence of God the moment they heard his voice walking in the cool of the day to pay them visit. There are three things given to build us up and to make us stronger, established and rooted in God- faith, hope and love. There are three good things for the use of man which Satan is trying and using to employ for evil and manipulate for improper use of them to tear mankind apart from God – money (the love of it, the root of all evil) sex (unlawful conducts and perversion of it) and food, because all the labour of man is for his mouth, yet their appetite is never satisfied. Ecclesiastes 6:7. Why was the young prophet commissioned by God to prophecy at Bethel slew by a lion after such a powerful, promising future and fulfilling prophetic ministration and declaration against the altar at Bethel? Was it not because he disobeyed the voice of God for the instruction given him back at home before he embarks on the journey not to eat food in the city of his assignment? Why did the king highly favoured and preferred Daniel above the rest? Why was he endowed with greater wisdom, revelation knowledge, and excellent spirit poured unto him from above? What made his flesh looked better and fairer than the rest of the people that ate from the king’s food and drank his wine? Was it not for his self-appetite control in pursuit of the blessedness of the prince who eats at a proper time for strength and not for drunkenness? Ecclesiastes 10:17.
In the wilderness, the children of Israel were not content with the provision of manna, but they lusted for fish and taunt (abused vocally and expressed contempt or ridiculed) God and his power to put divine presence to test. They grumbled and challenged God for fish. Jehovah proved to them that he can do all things anytime and anywhere by providing fish in the wilderness but suffered them not to live to enjoy and have the fish digested in their stomachs. Ere, while they were eating, they were dying at the same time; as it is written, he granted them their hearts desire, but sent leanness to their souls. They ate and die, instead of living. Psalms106:15.
God by his own counsel and eternal purposes will make a way in our wilderness and bring out rivers in our deserts; but taunting to belittle the great and the God of all possibility and thinking that such spiritual manipulation is to prevail with our lips and will force Sovereign power and mighty hand of God into action is a sin to ‘tempt the Lord our God’. Have you not read that let us not tempt Christ as some of them tempted him and were destroyed by the destroyer? 1 Corinthians 10:9.
Food is provided to sustain mankind while he lives. We are not created to live for food but to seek after God, if haply we might feel after him, and find him; though he is not far from every one of us; that we might fulfil our and purpose of existence on earth- to fear God and to keep his word. Ecclesiastes 12:13. Acts17:27.
Jesus taught us that life is more than food and body is more than clothes. Essentiality, the Lord is saying that the purpose of our existence is not to eat and drink. People are worshipping food today and will do anything for that which does not commend us to God. Adam and Eve lost their senses of duty before Jehovah and they gave in to their feelings and sensual perceptions, instead of abiding in the word delivered unto them for the continuation and actuality of their beings. We should keep the word and walk in it, lest our sense of duty before the Lord be clouded by the temporal and perishable dainty and appetites that can never satisfied in this present world. Let us labour for the food that will energise and propel us to eternal life, which the Lord alone has given us and will give us – the bread of life. Labour not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. It is evil and sinful before God when we prioritised making money and more money than pursuing and fulfilling the purposes of God in righteousness and soul winning, striving and portraying that filling the bank accounts, fridges, deep freezers and stomach should come first, changing and reversing the order of the kingdom seeking first abive all according to the word of God – thus we make money as god and stomach as deity. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. For many walks, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. John 6:27. Philippians 3:17-19. Let us not for the sake of food destroy the works of God in our life and should not by it destroy the works of God in other people’s life as it transpired between Satan, Adam and Eve in the Garden and between the old and the young prophet from Judah at Bethel.1 Kings 13:18-24.
The Lord will set whatever is wrong right before our eyes; and put everything in order for our correction, learning and understanding for proper use. Any right action or labour, if done at the wrong time, is disorderly and unacceptable conduct. Martha’s idea to prepare and cook food for the Lord’s reception, hospitality and refreshment when she and her sister were visited at Bethel was a great plan. But she was wrong in her perception and judgement of time invested to do the cooking which earned her the rebuke of the Lord for all the enthusiasm and energy she invested to the cooking and her request refused that the Lord should send Mary from the table of the word of God to the kitchen for food preparation against the one and most important needful thing – the word of God. ‘Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she helps me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:38-42. Romans 14:20.
Once we get the perspective wrong, we are likely to lose the credibility to live the real purpose of life and miss the right sense of direction to live in conformity to the will of God. The kingdom of God is not meat and drinks, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. This was the fatal error, fault and the reason behind the sudden death of the certain rich man, who had God’s favour smiled upon the works of his hand and his land has brought plentifully but failed to set the priority right before the Highest. From where has he had his unfounded assurances that he has many years to live, eat and drink? How was he so sure that he will have the appetite for the next meal without God (that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God)! How was he so sure of the next day that he concluded in his deceitful thoughts, not only to live the next day, but for many years to come? ‘And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry’. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them. He was so greedy and self-centered that all that he cared for, thought and spoke about was himself and his stomach that brought God into the scene that same night to cut him off out of the land of the living…. killing oxen, eating flesh and drinking wine. Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we shall die. And it was revealed in mine ears by the Lord of hosts, this iniquity shall not be purged from you, till you shall die. Isaiah 22:13-14. Luke 12:13-20. Ecclesiastes 3:13: (5) 11.
The merciful God and unforgivable sin- pollution of idols
Idol is nothing and its work is less than nothing, but an abomination is anyone that chooses to involve in any form of idolatry worship. The maliciousness of demonic spirits and power to possess in-animate objects and to gain access and lay claim upon the soul, spirit and body of the idol worshippers renders the stony or wooden objects or anything presented in the form of god(s) something to be marked by keen caution and watchful prudence. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. Acts17:29. The pollution of Idol is not only material effigy that men worshipped and bowed down to, it also includes anyone (idolize) who is more important and loved more than God in your life – is an idol to your destruction. Anything men cherished and difficult to part away from that they might please God and walk blamelessly in his ways is a god over them. Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts you double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laugher be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. James 4:8-9.
The word of God is simple to the wise. You are defiled by whatsoever is loved unquestioningly and uncritically without the readiness to sacrifice and consider it as a loss for the light you’ve received from the knowledge of the word God that your life and conversations should be conformed to the perfect law of liberty. For his iniquities, man sold himself to other lords besides God and these are having and exercising dominion over him. But sin, says the holy writs, shall not have dominion over you, for you are no longer under law, but under grace. I will submit before you that the sins in the heart are pollution of idols, because the Lord says that the things that come from the heart defiles man and make him unworthy of heaven. The apostles at Jerusalem wrote to the Gentile believers to abstain from the pollution of idols (which means there are many things that serves as idols to pollute man. For example, the bible calls covetousness as a sin of idolatry. Colossians 3:5) things strangled, and the use of blood and fornication that it may be well with them.
At this point in our Christian life, we shouldn’t be laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, but ought to have laid the matter of lifeless idols to rest at the beginning of our walk when we first come to Christ (2 Kings 17: 25-32) that overcoming the pollution of idol (cleansing ourselves from the filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit) is the first step of progressive walk with God, far away from the world of idolatrous and self-idolatry practices (disobedient is as the sin of idolatry.1Samuel 15:23) of sin as the basic foundation of our Christian faith when we turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians1:9-10.
What is pollution of idols? ‘Thus says the Lord God; in the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the Lord your God; in the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands: then said I unto them, cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the Lord your God’. The Idols of Egypt are the evil and sinful doings or practices of the world (Egypt) that defiles the soul, rendering man unclean and unfit for the kingdom of God. Little children keep yourselves from idols. Ezekiel 20:5-7. 1 John 5:21.
As for the New Testament believer, everything can be eaten because they are sanctified by prayer and the word of God with the exception of things strangled which is forbidden to be eaten because the animal’s blood is not spill to the ground. The blood being in it, polluted it for consumption. It is more or less the use of (eating) blood which also defiles believer. ‘And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. Therefore, I said unto the children of Israel, no soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood. And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunts and catches any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore, I said unto the children of Israel, you shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eats it shall be cut off’. ‘Wherefore my sentence is that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: but that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollution of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. Leviticus 17:10-14. Acts15:5-9.
Pollution of idol is the contamination and defilement of the body, soul and spirit from anything that has taken the pre-eminence of Christ in the heart. Anything that will defile the holiness of God in us, to prevent us from making heaven is a pollution of idol. He (Christ) that died for us and rose again to purchase and secure our eternal salvation should be the unique hero, celebrity and champion in our life. Only the fools, carnal, wordly, bewitched and unskilful men in the word of righteousness will celebrate any man in the place of Christ. Why should you be celebrating vanity? Why should yuo be glorying in man? Let no man glory in man, the scriptures warned. 1 Corinthinas 3:21. Every man (in the church or in the world) at his best state is altogether vanity. Psalms 39:5. Christ is the bright star and light, the glory and light of his people. No heathen celebrity should be our hero, neither any of the so-called counterfeit God’s generals and majors in the Christendom who are celebrated (such ignorant and idolatrous phrase as let us celebrate the man in the house) in the place of Christ by thanking God for using them. They are just a minister through whom you believed if at all they are true servants of God. Neither he that plant, nor he that water the seeds are of noteworthy, Christ is the sole important as the life giver. Those practices are pollution to the souls of the followers. The blind followers of these so-called God’s generals and majors ignored the word of God to facilitate the fake ministers to twist the word of God unchallenged because they themselves are ‘itching hearers’ doom for destruction. They willingly chose to ignored what God is actually saying in his unchanging eternal word to argue blindly with such response as ‘my pastor says this or my pastor says that’ above the written word of God. Those raging waves of the sea and wandering stars generals have made themselves authoritative and authoritarian above the authority of God’s infallible word and have made themselves gods over the simples and ignorant to lord it over God’s heritage (because they marked by firm determination and resolution to obey man above God) on what the bible calls ‘being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness’. 2 Peter 3:17.
God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. Any symbolic representation of God is a pollution of idols, like the postal or sculptor of Mary or Jesus or God or an angel on the walls of the churches or at homes. The devil is a polluter who stands in competition and opposition to God and he seeks to share in God’s glory and worship by rendering holy worship unwholesome by contaminants and pollution. There should be no image of man, the likeness of anything in heaven or on earth be found with us or be set up in our worship and adoration to represent the invisible God, whom no man can see or have seen. ‘And the Lord said unto Moses, thus thou shall say unto the children of Israel, you have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. If we rear up any image for the representation of God in worship, we willingly opened the doors for evil spirits to fellowship with us and to receive the homage due to God. Whenever we turn away from scriptural reference and instructions to fanciful, popular and visual worship, we can be sure to have unconsciously invited the devil and his demons to abide and fellowship with us. Exodus 20: 22-23. Isaiah 44:6-20.
Contacts and visits to the spirits mediums, sorcerers, astrologers or reading journal horoscope, visit to soothsayers, stargazers and every other servant of Satan out there to predict events (fortune tellers) and consults spirit of the dead ones (Ecclesiastes 9:5) to get us out of problems or out of curiosity to know what the future is holding are common means of spiritual defilement and entrance of demonic possession. ‘Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God. ‘So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;and enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse’. Leviticus 19:31. Deuteronomy 18:10-11. 1 Chronicles 10:13-14.
When you feel unsecured and in danger, what do you do? Psalms 27:1. Where and to whom do you go for counselling, help and solution in urgent need? 2 Kings 6:26-27. What attitudes do you keep when you are under spiritual attacks? 2 Samuel 23: 11-12. What are the wrong actions you have taken and negative confessions you have spoken when you are under stress and overwhelmed? 2 Kings 1:2-3. You can pray and ask God to correct the errors of your past actions and nullify the negative words that were uttered out of your lips by the blood of Jesus as you confess and repent before the Lord; if not, the enemy shall use them to fight and defeat you. It is the responsibility of the husband to pray for the health of his wife and other family and household issues and not to abandon her for whatever challenges which both ought to face and sort out together in marriage. Isaac was forty years old when she took Rebecca for wife but waited for twenty years before she conceived. When he found out that she was not conceiving, Isaac intensely pleaded in prayer (Genesis 25:21) before the Lord on behalf of his wife. The Lord answered his prayer, and Rebecca became pregnant with twins. After Rebecca discovered that she was pregnant and her children are pushing and struggling in her, she became worried, but she also took a bold step to enquire from the Lord in prayer and not from the gods of the nations around them for the life, knowledge of future of her unborn babies. There was not a prophet around to ask the counsel of the Lord, but she met with God one on one to enquire from his mouth and she was heard and received a personal answered. God that made the mouth, can he not speak to us that we might hear his voice? Egypt was not a long-distance trip for Isaac and Rebecca to go down to enquire from the magicians and the gods of the Egyptians, but they settled in themselves not to serve any other god than the living God of Abraham. It is our trophy to wait and keep the way of the Lord till our trials end. It is honour to Jehovah that we are found faithful to wait on him in trials and tribulations to avoid and escape the death penalty and sorrows (eternal) that shall be multiplied to those that hasten after other gods. Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord! Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helps shall fall, and he that is help shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. Isaiah 31:1-3.
When the son of man shall come back to earth, will he find faith on earth? We dealt a big blow to Jehovah’s honour whenever we walk away from his covering and counsel to seek for help, protection, healing, deliverance, wealth and any other blessings from the kingdom and power of darkness represented by those strange gods and the idols. This is the pollution of idol. It is a great provocation against the jealous God. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? If you are born again and break the rank to seek after Satan for power, wealth, fame, crowd pulling in the ministry or for whatever gain, just know that you’ve done despite unto the Spirit of grace and sold your soul out for eternity. ‘Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab. And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, go, enquire of Beelzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease. But the Angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Beelzebub the god of Ekron? Now therefore thus says the Lord, thou shall not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shall surely die. And Elijah departed. And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, why are ye now turned back? And they said unto him, there came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, thus says the Lord, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sends to enquire of Beelzebub the god of Ekron? Therefore, thou shall not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shall surely die. 2 Kings 1:1-6.
The merciful God and the unforgivable sin- unforgiving spirit
Last year in the U.K, my niece (she is a pastor’s wife) had a revelation of her mother’s death. Not considering her devotion to God and benevolent acts to mankind, the messengers of God (angels) at the heaven’s gate refused and denied her entrance to heaven because of her failure to forgive her offenders from the heart. The time of this revelation was also at the time her husband was hospitalized but he eventually went to be with the Lord some months later. My sister openly confessed and released her pardon on all her offenders to fulfil the purpose of the revelation. God’s revelation warnings are to correct us in the race for eternity. It is eternally unforgivable when we chose to keep resentment and refused to forgive others for whatever vileness done to us. It is true that we are deeply hurt and betrayed by the breach of trust and contract from our confidants and associates, but we must put away the disappointments and grievances to forgive from the heart and to commit any unjust acts to God that judge righteously who will render to everyman according to their works; because the Lord says, if you do not forgive, neither shall my heavenly Father forgive you. Matthew 6:15.
Satan is the persecutor and punisher who does not show pity to open his prisoners’ door for any relief; therefore, an unforgiving spirit is demonic. To err is human, to forgive is divine. If God should instantly render us the deserts of our ways and deeds every day before him, who shall still be living on earth at this time? Believer must put on bowel of compassion in love by overlooking offences and to prayerfully and carefully seek separation from the continual wayward and troublemakers (instrument of obstacles and impediment) people in their lives. It is a serious issue with the Lord if we become too hardened and unforgiving to the error of our brethren, lest we should have judgment without mercy before the great judge. It is obligatory to walk in the spirit of forgiveness and learn to forgive at every moment, even before the offender is made aware to admit his or her fault or not. Apology tendered or not, we must forgive, and allows the Lord to requite it. The Lord Jesus teaches us that while we stand praying, the first thing to say before the Father is to express our willingness to forgive our offenders, and to confess before him that they’ve been forgiven, so that our sins might be forgiven and our heart is not polluted by bitterness and strife to hinder our prayer because of our unwillingness to forgive. Mark 11:25.
A repented prostitute woman came for counselling in our church at Turin in Italy some years back. After the narration of her problems, all that I heard or received for her from the Lord was to forgive and she shall be healed and restored. She then narrated how she was betrayed and abandoned by her husband who left her for a young girl after she has spent lots of money to bring him to Europe from Africa. She said that she would never forgive the man till death, even if they should both found each other in heaven –déjà vu. She was marked by extreme anger when she came to Sunday worship and she discovered that her long-time old friend but for some reasons were no more getting along together is an usher in the church. She came back the next Tuesday, not for counselling, but to announce her untimely departure from our church for the presence of her old friend serving in the church. She could not tolerate seeing or imagined both of them in the same church. I reminded her of the Lord’s word and condition for her healing and solutions to her problems – to forgive. She had made up her mind and decided not to forgive either her wayward husband nor her longtime friend. Treat your offenders or those you consider as enemies very well in contrast to what they actually deserve. This is the spirit of love which covers multitudes of sin- be forgiving. Forgiving love does not keep records of wrongdoings, but is kind and will not repeat matters to separate friends. Proverbs 17:9. If we treat the wicked offender the right undeserving way, we are heaping coals of fire on his head, giving room for God to requite it. Vengeance belongs to God to fight, defend and plead the cause of his people. Forgive people who are out to make you bitter and angry and let not their negativity destroy, pollute, contaminate and determines your mood in the Lord whose joy is your strength – God, even your exceeding joy. Psalms 43:4. ‘Let go of the anger, bitterness, disappointment and malice for your husband’s action and the old strife with your friend,’ I advised, but she would not listen. She stopped coming to the church as promised. Hardness of heart to forgive others can lead us to hell if care is not taken.
After four to five months, I learnt that this old repented prostitute woman who had cardiac arrest and collapsed and died during a domestic violent between her and the Italian man’s friend. Thus, she died without obeying the voice and instruction from the Lord to meet her Lord in bitterness of unforgiving spirit. ‘Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any roots of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled. Hebrews12:15. When we were yet sinners, God demonstrated his love and sent his Christ to die for our sins. We were forgiven sinners even before we ever learnt anything about it to come to Christ. This is undeserving divine love and compassion from God. This is exactly what the Lord is asking from us, to walk constantly and daily in the spirit of forgiveness (then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus said unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven. Therefore, is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, which owed him a hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owed. And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desired me: should not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise, shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses. Matthew18:21-35) and should be ready to forgive our offenders in abstention-without their knowledge or awareness that they’ve been forgiven long before they acknowledge their faults: and to let them know that we are not holding any resentment to retaliate against them. David showed forgiveness and walked in the spirit of forgiveness, even in his affliction and wandering despite all the efforts of Saul’s envious spirit to kill him for his goodness for saving the nation of Israel. Twice, the Lord delivered King Saul into David’s and his men’s hand to destroy him, but he will rather give room for wrath and rewarded good for all the maliciousness of King Saul against him. ‘And David said to Saul, wherefore hearest thou men’s words, saying, behold, David seeks thy hurt? Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the Lord had delivered thee today into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the Lord’s anointed. Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou hunt my soul to take it. The Lord Judge between me and thee, and the Lord avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. As says the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceeds from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. After whom is the king of Israel come out? After whom dost thou pursue? After a dead dog, after a flea. The Lord therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand. And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept. And he said to David, thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil. And thou hast showed this day how that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the Lord had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not. For if a man found his enemy, will he let him go well away? Wherefore the Lord reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day. And now, behold, I know well that thou shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.Swear now therefore unto me by the Lord, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father’s house.And David swore unto Saul. And Saul went home; but David and his men gat them up unto the hold – put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 1Samuel 24. Colossians 3:12-13.
The merciful God and the unforgivable sin- contempt against the word of God
Thus says the Lord; for three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the Lord, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked: but I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem. Amos 2:4-5.
Don’t forget that our Lord sprang out of Judah from whence he has his titled as ‘the Lion of the tribe of Judah’. We are the Israelites of God, the spiritual tribe men and women of Jesus, saved by the grace of God through the precious blood of Christ. We are his brethren, for whosoever is doing the will of Christ heavenly Father are his brethren, mother and sisters. Jesus plainly declared that he has not come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it, because the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. Hebrews 7:19.
Christ extended the law and widened its applications (you have heard that it was said of them of old time, thou shall not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment; but I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire) and implications; but contrary to any expcetation, our Lord’s yoke is easy, and his burden is light in the overwiew of it all.
There is an end for all perfection, but your commandment is exceeding broad. Psalms 119:96. The good news is that Christ fulfilled the law as broaden as they were, that the righteousness required by the law might be fulfilled in us through him who is for us made righteousness; if we walk not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. This is the operation of the spirit of grace that works through the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus on one condition – to walk constantly in the Spirit. As long as we are walking in the spirit, we are living and walking above the law (Galatians 5:18) and are fulfilling the righteousness which is by faith in Christ Jesus. Though, the commandment is exceeding broad; yet, through Christ grace and love in our fleshly and not stony heart, we can keep and abide in them by the love shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Every word of God is pure (Proverbs 30:5) which covers and affects every aspect of our lives and existence. Its standard and requirement we ought to respect and execute accordingly and no one is above the law or word of God with whom there is no respect person. Jehovah will judge the rich as well as the poor, male and female, father or son, mother or daughter, master or servant separately according to the holy writs -according to what they have done with (full or partial obedient, demoted, twisted, deviated, denigrated) his word. We are a privileged generation to have the word of God with increasing false and true preachers around the globe. But the time for the famine of the word of God is coming when men shall seek for it, but shall not found it, and there shall not be found either good or false preachers. So, what are you now doing with the word of God? Amos 8:11.
There is a limit and boundary to everything in this world, but the eternal word of God is so deep that there is no searching of his understanding. It is left to us (my son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; so that thou incline your ear unto wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;yea, if thou cries after knowledge, and lifts up thy voice for understanding;if thou seeks her as silver, and searches for her as for hid treasure;then shall thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God) to dig through and draw water daily with joy (to joyously obey) from the well of salvation and to drink continually to quench any thirst after the lusts of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, and the pride of life in us. In the same manner that a warrior will rejoice after conquering the enemy and he has taken the spoils of war; so in such spirit and attitude should we rejoice as one that has found great spoil with great delights when at any time we personally discover any hidden truth while searching the scriptures – or we received it through the preaching of the undiluted word – or by the revelation of the Holy-Spirit- Rhema. Psalms 119:162. Proverbs 2:1-5.
We are despising God and are relating to him as common once we failed to magnify any of his word above his name. Jehovah magnified his word above his names, but our negative disposition to certain scriptures reveals the unbroken parts in us, which is other word is an open rebellion and disdain attitude (lack of respect) to the Almighty. Respect for God is not in any false humility and worship, rather than in honoring by trembling to his word through our lifestyles. Many churches and Christians has placed giving and singing praises and worship, giving food and other good things above practical obedient to life changes through the word of God -conforming to his word. Everything to them is praise and worshhip because God dwells in the midst of praises. What a good work for a negative outcome or result? I can’t stand your religious meetings. I’m fed up with your conferences and conventions. I want nothing to do with your religion projects, your pretentious slogans and goals. I’m sick of your fund-raising schemes, your public relations and image making. I’ve had all I can take of your noisy ego-music.When was the last time you sang to me? Do you know what I want? I want justice—oceans of it. I want fairness—rivers of it. That’s what I want. That’s all I want. Amos 5: 21-24. (Message bible translation). It is good, but it is not enough to honor and proclaim Jehovah with our lips when lips service to God is not followed by obedient and submissive lifestyles to the engrafted word which is able to save the soul. The knwoledge of the word applied is desirable and accetable to Jehivah above any sacrifices of praise. Hosea 6:6.
Words of mouth alone shall not save us if they are not correspondence in action to reflect and confirm Christ’s testimony in us. None of Jehovah’s holy commandments should fall to the ground, neither should any of them be counted as a strange thing which God has given for reproof, for correction and for instructions in righteousness, that we (the body of Christ) might be perfected in Christ Jesus, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. It is forbidding doing what is right in your eyes when the scriptures are plain and concise-that’s vain thoughts. ‘O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments’. Psalms 119:5-6 and verses 113. T
his was the failure of the first parents in the Garden of Eden when they despised the word of God and lightly contemned his counsel against the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. Are we only choosing to keep what we think is good for us today while ignoring certain new Covenant scriptures doctrines to keep or not to keep? Will you chose what you think is convenient and good to do to keep your self-image, though you know that you supposed to be crucified with Christ and the scriptures restrict you from doing such things? But then, you are not abiding in the whole counsel of God! We seem to forget that the expectations on us under the dispensation of grace are greater than them that were under the dispensation of law because they had not the grace to draw from. Now, we have all the grace made available unto us if we draw near to have it, lest we fail of the grace meant for us to live better under the better covenant of grace; because every transgression and disobedient will receive a just recompense of reward. We are not walking with Jehovah when we are partial and incomplete in obedient. Partial and incomplete obedient are the broad way and wide gate behaviours and lifestyles that leads to destruction. Why should you wrestle any part or one jot of the scriptures which shall not fail unfulfilled to your destruction? Desist from this folly and stop observing lying vanities and forsaking your own mercy. Whenever you react to any word of God as insignificant, (especially from the New Testament) not related to this time and century, Jehovah will likewise lightly esteem you for dishonoring his word when you will stand to be judged. ‘And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day’. John 12:47-48.
It is true as my beloved pastor and in-law at Lagos-Nigeria (Pastor Kayode Beckley) once said, ‘truth is universal’. From generation to generation and from everlasting to everlasting God’s word remains the same in every nation and continents of the world, settled forever in heaven before the foundation of the world. You’ll put yourself in a continual bondage to the enemy by any word of God you ignored. Such are the bleating of the Amalekites sheep (1 Samuel 15:14) we chose to keep with us to worship the Lord but he desired them not from us and they should not be found with us keeping. If every thought in you are not brought to the obedience of Christ, it means that you are in a certain spiritual captivity by the remnant of the strongholds that are not pulled down (disobedient) in your life. It is not the truth we know and speak that will set us free, but the truth we know, speak and walk in it that will indeed set us free. If our obedient to the Lord is making the people of the world ridicule us as being in bondage, it actually meant that the spirit of God and of glory is resting upon us and Jehovah is glorified in us. Jeremiah 15:16. Psalms 119:174. It is better to be spiritually free in the eyes of God and in the light of his word than to be blinded in spiritual bondage in adherent to the standard of the world. Jehovah will not fail to differentiate and separate between his children who are trembling to all his word for honour on the last day to the shame of their fellow believers who are currently mocking them as being too hard on themselves- too superstitious -too moderate – too holy – too strict on themselves – too shabby – legalism but are genteel (they don’t lose their dignity and self respect in modesty) too narrow minded and not cultured because they are not in any particular way mundane but have kept themselves unspotted from the world in appearances, speeches and in every other conversation. ‘Hear the word of the Lord, you that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed’. Isaiah 66:5. Be careful of new age churches and pastors who are teaching what ought not to be taught for filthy lucre sake. Their end and of their followers is destruction, if you don’t get away from the teachers of lies. If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into ditch. Do not follow the multitudes to add, neither to remove from the word of God, lest you be found a liar. Proverbs 30:6.
Mind you, no liar shall inherit the kingdom of God. You don’t have to compromise truth for peace, love and unity. The heretics are out of the way and are in the congregation of the dead. ‘This is love that you walk after the commandments and to speak the truth in love’. ‘Say ye not, a confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, a confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.Bind up the testimony; seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the Lord, that hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him’. Isaiah 8:12-17.
