Among many of Christ doctrines (Jesus answered them, and said, my doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. John 7:16-18) this is one of Christ crucial doctrines- the doctrine of two-sided crucifixion. This is not the doctrine of co- deaths or crucifixion with Christ we found in Galatians chapter 2 verses 20 and from Romans Chapter 6 verses 8 and 9. Christ gospel is the good news, but in it you will find this so called offensive (because it has to do with the cross Galatians 5:11) and divisive (because of the price of separation and consecration it involves to walk worthy of God – think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother-in-law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me Matthew 10:34-38) principle which has to do with the believer’s physical comportments, appearances and activities of life – the basic for reasoning and conduct. Who has deceived you that the outward or visible aspect of your life and things you do, how you dress as a man or woman of God are of not worthy of note and of consideration in judgement? Who has bewitched you and how long shall you continue to live in an erroneous mental representation of Christianity in your Christian life when you are the betrayal and enemies of the cross you ought to represent, defend and stand for by your characteristic’s worldliness and secular lifestyle though you think and claim to be a child of God when actually your lifestyle has turned you to become an enemy of the cross and child of perdition? Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walks, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. Philippians 3:17-19). The gospel life (only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ Philippians 1:27) is not for the indecisive, but for those who are characterized by personal resoluteness and firmness, dare to be like Daniel with a challenge to live differently as an example of consecration to God, beautifying and adorning themselves with decency and modesty in holiness and not according to the society and world standard as a reference point to evaluate and determined their actions and lifestyles. 1 Peter 3:1-5. 1 Timothy2: 8-9. It does not require a sticker with biblical verse or religion logo pasted on your car screen or by wearing a tee shirt with Jesus’ picture on it before the testimony of Christ is confirmed in you. You are not required to put on the crucify necklace jewellery on your neck nor holding a prayer rosary about in your hand wherever you go or wearing a norm garment before the world should take notice of you that you are with Christ – one of his own. If there is any mark of Christ on you that the world can easily recognised to respect with positive influence upon them (from henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Galatians 6:17) without making any fanfare or an attractive and dramatic display from you like the Pharisees hypocrites, it is by living in the life of double-sided crucifixion – dead to the world and the world dead to you. The lifestyle of double – sided crucifixion is the reflection of Christ image, glory and personality in you, an expression without any word spoken from your mouth to the world that you are not of them and neither of beneath. It was not the Pharisees, neither the Sadducees nor the scribes that were honoured with the name Christians at Antioch, rather are the disciples that lived the double-sided crucified life that were called as Christians at Antioch. Acts11:26. They didn’t call themselves Christians, but the world of unsaved men and women called them so because of this distinguishing mark of difference and separation from the world and its appearances in a double-sided crucified life to the world and the world to them. Your overall conversations will betray you to the world that you are crucified to them and you can’t be received and treated as one of their own any longer if you are truly living in the double-sided crucified life. Your actions and reactions will betray you before the world if the world is crucified to you: so, they will hate you because you are not of them, even as they hated Christ. You will be to the people of the world as a man from different planet, just as it were from the beginning of the early church that no sinner was bold enough to join the assembly of believers without genuine conversion except those who are called and saved by the Lord and were added to the church that they should crucify themselves to the world and the world crucify to them. Acts 5:13-14. Note: your life is not glorifying, celebrating or displaying the victorious power of the cross of the triumphant Christ rather than diminishing its transformation phenomenon when you are not crucified to the world and the world is not crucified to you as a child of God. Evangelism on its own is not adequate in quantity and quality to convert sinners and keep them spiritually healthy except they see the different in lifestyles such as the early church were able to change and turn their era upside down for God with the doctrine of Christ crucified in a crucified lifestyles to the world and the world to them before the watching eyes of the world. This two-sided crucified lifestyle is exactly who you should become in Christ as a man who has been taken over by the word and Spirit of God while your old friends and family members who are not of Christ will think it strange that you are not running with them to the same excess of riot to walk in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revelling, participating in night club and banqueting and other abominable idolatries to reproach and to speak evil of you. Your daily walk will signal the alarm to the world of ungodly sinners that there is nothing common between you and them:that their interest is not your interest and your labour and profits are in opposite direction to those things which they exert physical and mentalenergy to seek pleasure and profits from. Their joy and rejoicing is strange to you and those things they highly esteemed are now abomination is your sight even as it is in God’s perspective because you are now dead to the ungodly and carnal affections of the things on earth, and your life is presently hid with Christ in God. If you are not crucified to the world and the world crucified to you in this present walk with Christ, it is evidence that the life you are living in the flesh is not lived out in the faith of the Son of God but by the standard, custom and tradition of the world. It also means that you shall not live forever with Christ (whom you half heartedly with lips worship proclaim as Lord) who is your life when he shall appear in glory. If the double sided crucified lifestyle is not visible in the life of a profess child of God, it is an indication that his or her religion is not pure and undefiled (pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27) his love for God is pretentious without substance (he that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that said he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:4-6) his heart is divided (friendship with the world is enmity against him. Whosoever therefore will be the friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4)a mixed motive believer (the light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye is single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if your eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23) whose affection and interest is shared between the Lord and world. The Lord died to deliver the believer from the evil world (Galatians 1:4) and to sanctify and send him back to the world as a witness against the works and lifestyles therein. It is said that the born again believer is no more of the world even as the Lord is not of the world. John 17:16. Crucifixion is to die to the world in Christ from all the pleasure, satisfaction, lifestyle, practices and lustful objects and other carnal fulfilment thereof. If a believer is not living in a crucified life to the world, the gospel he received is undoubtedly another gospel, and the Christ living in him is without argument another Christ, and the spirit working in him is the spirit of the world and not of God. 2 Corinthians 11:1-4. A conformist believer who is following the established standards of conduct of the world and of his forefathers (and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2) is only living in a spiritual world of religion fantasy and a very bad cymbal. Because of the vast majority of believers who are not dead to the world and the world is not dead to them, the bilateral negative effects is devastating as the world is now inside the church and the church is repositioned to function and operate like the world to make her lovable and approachable by the world. She doesn’t want to be seen acting like or be called primitive, so she abandoned her role to defend the truth once delivered to the saints unto another gospel. What a pity! The dead are freed from the participation in the affairs of this life: literally, the believer should be emotionally unmoved and uninfluenced by the vain customs, practices and vanities of this present evil world as light shinning out of the darkness who is not walking by sight, but by faith – as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: (be dead or crucified to the world and let the world be crucified to you as well) but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1: 14-16. If the believer’s testimony should be effective and relevant in the world, he must be dead to the world and the world should be dead to him. While he claims to be crucified with Christ but not dead to the world, his spiritual life cannot bring any godly- eternal fruit unto God, and nothing more than worldly and ungodly converts of the same sort as vessels of dishonour which shall not abide before God forever. In 1 John 2 verses 15- 17, it reads: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever. You need to figure out from the scriptures as you ignore the falsehood and flattering teachings of the ungodly and broad way apostles, teachers and pastors who are turning the grace of God unto lasciviousness to equate and differentiate those things that comprises the will of God in dying to the world and the world dead to you from the lusts of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh and the pride of life to keep yourself in the love of God and in the patient waiting for Christ. Jude 1:21. The gospel comes with doctrines, customs and practises for instructions in righteousness and godliness which are not typical, usual and regular to the old life and the present evil world in those who were once darkness, but are now to walk as children of light, proving and showing what is that good and acceptable unto the Lord – for the fruit of the spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. They are the light yoke of Christ which must be borne upon us as we learn from him to act and live according to his standard. If the worldly and the unregenerate men cannot see the different between Christ and Belial through your lifestyle, you are in no way dead to the world. If sinners and the un-churched cannot testify to the difference between righteousness, holiness and godliness against worldliness through your life in Christ, you are in no way crucified to the world, and the world is in no way crucified to you. If the sinners cannot testify to what it is to serve Christ against mammoth through your life and business deals with them, you are in no way crucified to the world; neither the world is crucified to you: thus they are left to conclude that your affiliation with the name of the Lord is business as ever – it’s all about money or gain. If by any way you continue or are influenced and drawn along in the vain traditions and culture (knowledge and values shared by society lifestyles and practices) of the world, either to appease them or for whatever reason or purpose, you are not dead to the world and the world is not getting away from you, but is right there inside of your heart – manifesting through you as one of theirs. If Christ came out of the city that he might sanctify his church of which you are a member, why should you not come out of the world and be crucified to its affections and lusts, practices and lifestyles bearing Christ reproach? Hebrews 13:12-13. How can you assert and claim heaven to be your inheritance when you are not crucified to the world and the world is not crucified to you, not fashioning to be in similar like or in line with the harmless and undefiled Christ, separated from the world and sinners? You are supporting the causes that are not contributing to increase righteousness on earth to expand the kingdom of God, sure you seek yours and not Christ, how then are you dead to the world and the world is dead to you? Philippians 2:21. Where your riches are, there shall your heart be. Note: those who are dead to the world and the world is dead to them will invest, work and labour to bring others along with them to the better country where most does not corrupt and thieves does not breaks in to steal. They will invest in the kingdom and into others but not to take advantage of any, and not for the praise of men and profits on earth, but as a faithful steward of God for their sure rewards in heaven. They had died to self and are decreasing daily in self worth, self- exaltation as those who are truly bought with a price and are no more their own to increase Christ daily in their testimony and lifestyle to the world. Because they are dead to the world and the world is dead to them, therefore shall the prince of this world (Satan) in his normal inspection routine works shall visit their homes and lives but shall not found Jazz nor reggae music, neither shall any horror, thriller or erotic videos or films be found with them, nor the portraits, sculpted images and whatever belongs to the world in their possessions, lifestyles and habitation. They are dead to the world, therefore they are not competitive to hasten or provoked result or any outcome in vain glory like the people of the world because they seek not their own glory, but the glory of him who has called and sent them. They will only yield to the Spirit of God and not to the external influences and pressures of the uncircumcised or carnal men as God continue to work both to will and to do according to his good pleasure in them. They are dead to the world and the world is dead to them, therefore they are living each day as directed from above and will in no wise compared themselves in the pride of life with anyone like the worldly minded man will measure himself among others to make himself better or to be like somebody of the world. Those who are not dead to the world attempt and make efforts to become like a renowned worldly celebrity (instead of being an imitator of Christ) who to them is their role model, while some goes as far as having such person’s tattoo image on them. But for those who are dead to the world in Christ and the world is dead to them, they will never glory in men (not in the church or in the world) and nothing of this world is of great deal and esteem to them because all things are theirs, life or death, the world or things present, or things to come: all are theirs; and they are Christ’s and Christ is God’s. 1 Corinthians 3:23. Those who are not dead to the world and the world is not dead to them are those who are frustrating the grace of God and they shall receive the just recompense of their lifestyles afterward. They are those who have received the grace of God in vain, fallen out of it and deviates from the eternal purposes of the grace of God by living under the deception of false grace. 1 Peter 1:12. The grace of God that brings salvation in hope of eternal life teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. This is the simplicity in Christ without complication. Is it godly and righteous to go to the beach or open stream in summer appearing in pants and brazier in the temple of God (your body – glorifying and showing off the flesh while feeding on lusts of the flesh instead of glorifying God in your body and spirit which are God’s) when you can easily in reverent fear do the same at home and in your compound or bathtub as a living sacrifice? Is this not the unequally yoked together with unbelievers from whom you ought to come out and separate from? Are you adamant and hardened to God, serving him in your own way and thoughts? Though you are straight and not gay or lesbian, but you have pleasure to defend workers of iniquities because you will not want to be found offensive or intolerance of unscriptural ideas and vain cultures in the name of tolerance in your hypocrisy and deceitful love for sinners, how then can you say you are crucified to the world? If you don’t stand for the cross and be dead to the world and the world dead to you, you are standing for nothing in the world for the Lord. For the cause of cross and the corrupt culture and vain tradition of the fallen world has the Lord died. Would you love those things hated by the Lord and will say before the Lord that you are crucified to the world and the world is crucified to you? Are you not are a liar? Those who are crucified to the world don’t take side with the world but will boldly testify against its evil and wicked works even as the Lord did testified against it. John 7:7. They shall not be loved by the world because they are not friend of it and will never speak good of the evil works thereof as their acceptance and sufficiency is of God.
