The keys of David 17-05-18

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; these things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that opened, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man opened. Revelation 3:7-8.

This is the key of opportunities and privileges, honour and promotions. What a privilege to be his workmanship in Christ Jesus, created for good works to serve God and to be called his child. What a privilege to be called out of the world by him who has set us aside to become his son’s bride, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
This is another mystery that the kingdom of God is within us, but its operation is from above. No one dare venture into what the Lord has not apportioned to be his duty, right or purpose on earth rather than to seek unto him which performs all things for each of us and in each of us and in us all by his Spirit. Psalms 57:2. For all the vessels of honour that has sanctified themselves before the Lord in truth from the corruption of the world and from the hypocrisy within the church, opportunities shall always abound and present itself before them to be met for the master’s use unto every good works. If we discern or discover a cause for God’s glory and we felt compel by the spirit of God to get involves, we can assume such as an open door set before us by God. David was the youngest of Jesse’s boys, but it pleased the Lord to set him up among and above all his brethren. Though his oldest brother (Elihu) tried to intimidate him by false accusation of pride to rob him of his glory and to prevent his glory from shinning at the season of his manifestation and unveiling, it was all to no avail. When the Lord chose to lift up, none can bring down; and when the Lord open, no one can close. When the Lord release, none can hold down or hold back – his counsel shall stand, and the thoughts of his heart shall be fulfilled towards all generation. 1 Samuel 17:28. Psalms33:10-11.
Whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached (Philippians 1:18) and God is glorified; but let us be sure of this one thing that good notions and intentions are not rewardful in the kingdom if they are wrought out of vain glory – out of the scriptures and not of the Spirit’s guidance, motivation and divine assignment. God will only open the door to perform the things that are written in his book and are appointed for us before the foundation of the world. None shall be able to stand successful in opposition against the performances of such celestial purposes, lest otherwise they should find themselves in direct conflict with God. How great and terrible is our God in the works of his hands, though the greatness of his power shall his enemies submit themselves unto him. Job 23:14.                                                                                    King David’s intention and zeal was ordinarily good in his determination and proposition before Prophet Nathaniel to build a temple for the ark of the God of Israel. But his desired was denied him from above, because it was not appointed unto him from heaven as an assignment to build a temple for God. The project of temple construction was the task for his son Solomon – it was his honour reserved and project given to him to build the magnificent temple for the God whose dwelling is not with the flesh. (And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shall sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.1 Kings 8:17-19.                                                                          None can enter the door which the Lord has not opened (by strength shall no man prevail) except those who want to labour for the wind, ready to die before their time – be not thou over much righteous, neither makes thyself over wise, why should you destroy thyself.                                                                              If a beloved spiritual soldier of the Lord falls in the battle, two reasons may apply to the case of such veteran soldier casualty in spiritual warfare. Firstly, it may be that the Lord has not led him forth into it and he had acted presumptuously and was beaten, wounded and defeated by the enemy, just like the Israelites went presumptuously to fight the Amalekites in contemptuous disregard against Moses’ objection, and they were beaten and defeated by the enemy, and some of them were taken as slaves. Secondly, it might be that though they were led by the Lord, but along the way, they broke the edge and were got bitten by the serpent, just like Achan stole the accursed thing at the Jericho and his action brought curse upon the whole armies of God and Israelis were not able to stand and resist but fell before their enemies in the battle. If there is any accurse thing (sin) in our camp, though the Lord has opened the door, yet shall his presence departed from us. God will lead us into Edom and bring us into the strong city to possess and inherit the land if he has opened the door- through God we shall do valiantly, for it is he that shall tread down our enemies.
We are commanded to go into the entire world to preach the gospel to every creature, but we must receive divine guidance to which of the countries the Lord has in mind for us. You dare not venture to enter Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates for evangelization and healing miracle crusade, except you are led! Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden (closed door) of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, after they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not (closed door). And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; there stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us (opened door) for to preach the gospel unto them”. Psalms 60:9-10. Acts 16:6-10.
When the Lord opened the door, it is certain that he will give us the land where our feet have walked upon to possess. The reason why we may not possess it might be that the Lord is not willing to give us any inheritance in that allocation or geographical location. It is the Lord who shall choose our inheritance for us, and we dare not contend for the land he has not signal as ours. Psalms 47:4.                                          When you seek to enter any room forcefully by breaking the door opened or through the window, we should be ready to embrace death, instead of life. Godless and sinful success and breakthroughs without the Lord is vexation of spirit. Any blessing, advancement or success with sinful compromiise is not an open door from the Lord, but a trap and pit of destrction by the enemy – Satan. Christ is the door. It is only by him and through him we can come in and go out to find pasture. Let him lead you out and brings you in again – inheritance may be gotten hastily from the beginning, but the end thereof shall not be blessed. For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God takes away his soul? Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him? Job 27:8-9. Proverbs 20:21. John 10:9.
From human point of view and the virtue of birth – right and inheritance, the kingdom and throne of Israel by right was for Adonijah after David his father, but he hastily exalted himself to become the king, even before the death of King David and he failed to get to the throne. By divine decree that overrules human rights, orders, objections and reasoning, the door to the royal palace and its royal throne was opened and prepared for Solomon from above. Sooner than later did Adonijah admitted and acknowledged that if God did not open the door, it is unworthy to force the door open. ‘And he said, thou know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother’s: for it was his from the Lord.                                                                                      Though, Adonijah partially submitted to divine providence and preference; but afterward, his covetous demand and lustful eyes for the young virgin queen at the palace for compensation to the throne (King Solomon’s inherited wife from his father- Abishag the Shunammite) brought about his untimely death.  1Kings 2:12-25.
Say you to the righteous; it shall be well with them. Whatever our reality, lines are already fallen unto us in pleasant places with goodly heritage. Opportunities abounds every day for us in Christ. Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. Let us not force to do what the Lord has not asked us not to do – mind not high things, but condescend to men of humble spirit. Let us not try to become what God has not fashioned us to become in him. Let us not force to have what he has not release for us to possess. Let us not fret, worry, careful, strife neither be in haste for anything – without the Lord, there is nothing we can do, and not to acquire like Achan did at the conquest of Jericho. Whatever we do and accomplished without him, though it is for his name’s sake, is cursed and reserved to be destroyed by fire at the end.
