Faithfulness defines the rest of the attributes and the characteristics nature of God. It sums up the whole personality assessment of who God is. In every nature and characteristics attributes of God that is made known to us from the scriptures, God is faithful to be and he is exactly the same as been portrait. He is faithful to be holy. He is faithful and just to forgive us when we screwed up. He is faithful without bias in his justice system to render unto every man according to the fruit of their doings. He is faithful to take vengeance as he to whom vengeance belongs. God will not compromise to change for any reason. He is faithful to remain the same yesterday, and today, and for- evermore. God is faithful to be faithful to all his word and purposes; even, if we believe not; he remains faithful, he will not deny himself. He is faithful to establish us and to keep us from evil and to accomplish what he has begun in us. He is faithful to answer the prayer of his elects that cries unto him day and night though he bears long with them. He never falters nor fails- he is faithful to make all things beautiful in his time and to show up at the right time appointed-this I recalled to mind; therefore, I have hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness. Faithfulness is all that God is asking from us in anything (help, Lord; for the godly man ceases; for the faithful failure from among the children of men. Psalms 12:1) and it is by this he is going to judge and reward every motive of our undertakings and labour of love in him. Without spiritual brokenness, we shall struggle with that which ought to be the strength and driving force of our walk and relationship with the heavenly Father-and righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins (directing or controlling power, means of curbing, check and restraint. Isaiah 11:5.) When faithfulness becomes the girdle of our reins, we shall know the right thing to do and the right way to go. We shall know when to retreat and when to engage for the Lord, knowing that he will faithfully judge the secrets of men’s heart and then shall we have his praise or condemnation. We are sincere in love and can approve things that are excellent, as one chosen, called by the Lord; and are expected to be faithful. We are not apologetic to inflict wound our friends by speaking the truth in love –faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy is deceitful. We just want to be faithful in all our engagement before the Lord for his people and his entire house. It is required of us all (ministers as well as all the members of the body-from the least to the greatest) to be faithful in every little or big things committed to our trust. Strict and thorough in the performance of duty- And the Lord said, who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. But and if that servant says in his heart, my lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; the lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. Luke 12:42-46. Proverbs 27:6. All the goodness and opportunity, blessings and materials and gifts presently in our possessions are loan to us from above. They are not our true riches, but our true and eternal substance and inheritance are presently reserves in heaven. They shall not be ours until we can prove our loyalty to God by serving him in spirit and in truth in the administrations and multiplications of the facilities entrusted to our care in faithful managements and distributions of them without diversion of the blessings for other purpose- if therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? Luke 16 :11-12. Thus, we become the stewardship of the manifold grace of God, ready to give account at the appearing and revelation of Christ. If we do well with the gifts entrusted to us, we shall receive the commendation from Christ as a good and faithful servant: and if we do otherwise, we shall receive the just recompense of reward we deserve according to our unfruitful works. Faithful walk with God is the ground of our justification and power of argument and reasoning in any spiritual confrontation, accusation or any unjust dealings against us before the court of heaven. Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses to despise his authority and to challenge his position of leadership; but. God intervened in the situation to defend Moses by announcing him as ‘my servant Moses who is faithful in all mine house’. Our faithfulness shall speak for us because the faithful man shall abound with blessings. Proverbs 28:20. King Hezekiah was bold enough to reason with God after he received the news from prophet Isaiah to prepare his house for his demise. He wept and supplicated God for length of days as he presented and argued by his upright, steadfast and faithful life in his presence. God heard his cry and cancelled the death verdict against him and added another fifteen years for his servant. If we are not faithful in or dealings with our neighbours whom we see and interact daily, how can we claim to be faithful to God whom we have not seen? Faithfulness is required between the husband and his wife (marital faithfulness) and the Lord promised to punish those that will act otherwise-marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulteress God will judge. Can we be trusted with personal problems and not sinful and evil confidential matters without betraying the trust by gossip? Are we faithful and self-control enough to keep the private life of friends entrusted to our intercessory prayer care? Thou shall not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people- a talebearer reveals secrets; but he that is of faithful spirit conceals the matter. Leviticus 19:16. Proverbs 11:13. Hebrews 13:4. When we are not faithful to our neighbour by betrayal of them, we have done exactly the same to Christ for whose sake we’ve been trusted as beloved in the Lord. Those who will walk and rule with God shall be faithful to their brethren in the Lord. We are not supportive and not in an unfeigned love of the brethren by exposing and telling others of the inadequacy and other problems and personal struggles of others though we have given all that we have to help them-most men will proclaim everyone his own goodness, but who can find a faithful man? Proverbs 20:6. Acts16:15. Hosea 11:12.
